This month the Fan Site Spotlight shines on SWTOR Life, one of the many fan sites that came to Austin for the recent Fan Site Summit.

Additionally, we have a new batch of smilies and avatars for you to use on the forums!

In late April, thirty members of the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ fan site community traveled to Austin for the first official Fan Site Summit. For two days, the sites met with developers of The Old Republic and played various parts of the game for the first time. Did they enjoy their time here in Austin? Watch the video report to find out!

Inquisitors, the dark geniuses of the Empire, are masters of treachery and dark Force power. Feared as much on the battlefield as they are by prisoners and political enemies, they will stop at nothing to earn themselves more power. The paths to power are many, though.

In Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, your character advances through the ranks, gaining experience, growing in power, and reaping the rewards of more advanced gear and skills.

Take a look at this Sith Warrior as he develops and amasses power in The Old Republic. While there are many paths to choose from, this example gives you a small glimpse of the armor and abilities a Sith Warrior can claim as he pursues his own destiny.

Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ is continuing to expand beyond the core game and into novels and comics. Del Rey Books has already published two novels in the Old Republic timeline, Fatal Alliance and Deceived, and last year announced that a third Old Republic novel was to be written by Drew Karpyshyn, Principal Writer at BioWare, and author of the Darth Bane series of Star Wars™ novels.

PAX East was an amazing experience for us this year. We were humbled by the enthusiasm the community showed for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, and got the chance to meet with thousands of fans. We were overwhelmed by the response to the game; fans filled the queue for the game every single day within minutes, and many waited hours to get their hands on Taral V.

Since the initial announcement of the localized versions of Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, we’ve heard the growls and roars from the community requesting the game be translated for Wookiees, and we are pleased to announce that this dream is now becoming a reality.
