Welcome to Game Update 1.3: Allies
Our third major Game Update 1.3: Allies goes live today. Allies makes it easier than ever for players to group up--our server transfer system was just the first step, and with this update we’re introducing the Group Finder tool. Group Finder helps you quickly form groups to take on the many Flashpoints and Operations in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. Select your preferred role within a group, the type of content that you and your friends want to tackle, and be automatically matched with group mates and start facing down enemies.
In addition to the Group Finder, Allies expands the Legacy system with Legacy perks. These perks, which are unlocked as you increase your Legacy level, provide a wide range of bonuses for your character. Some perks allow you to gain additional experience from taking part in Flashpoints, Warzones, or Space Missions. Other perks give you the ability to call repair droids, improve your relationship with your companion and much more.
Ranked Warzones allow for top-level competitive play for our PvP fans. Join Ranked Warzones as part of a team of eight level 50 players, and earn recognition and rewards! Allies also includes many other smaller features, including Adaptive gear, Augment unlocks and more.
With this update, we’ve hit the halfway mark of this year. In that time we’ve released the Legacy system, Group Finder, Guild Banks, Interface Customization and many other game systems, alongside new playable content including Operations, Flashpoints and Warzones. But we have a lot more coming in the second half of 2012. You'll see familiar faces such as HK-51, fly in new space missions, and encounter new Operations, Warzones and a brand new world called Makeb that will allow players to gain new levels. And that’s only the things we’ve talked about so far.
The goal of our team, as always, is to expand the Star Wars™ universe and add depth to Star Wars: The Old Republic. We'll be delivering exciting new content and using systems like Legacy, Group Finder and Ranked Warzones to make your experience more enjoyable. And we'll be doing it as often as we can, at a quality level we can be proud of.
