The Old Republic on The Big Bang Theory

We are excited to announce that Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ will be featured in a brand new episode of The Big Bang Theory! The episode, titled “The Weekend Vortex”, sees Sheldon having to choose between going with Amy to her aunt’s birthday party, or spending the weekend exploring The Old Republic™ with Bernadette, Raj, Leonard, and Howard.

You can catch The Big Bang Theory episode “The Weekend Vortex” tonight, March 8th, at 8:00PM EST / 7:00PM CST / 9:00PM MST / 8:00PM PST on CBS!

Coming in Game Update 1.2

With Game Update 1.2, “Legacy”, a whole new array of features will be introduced to Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. While this includes playable in-game content, such as the brand new “Explosive Conflict” Operation, “Legacy” will also introduce a bevy of new features including Player-vs-Player Warzone ranking, and the next evolution of the Legacy system!

Guild Summit Begins Monday

Next week, representatives of over 150 guilds from around the world will be coming to Austin, Texas to take part in BioWare’s inaugural Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Guild Summit. During the summit, guild members will have the opportunity to speak with the development team, and see a preview of what the future holds for the game.

A Look At The Old Republic

No MMO launch is ever perfect, but we are pleased to report that the launch of Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ on December 20, 2011 was a tremendous success. More than two million copies of the game have been sold, and the servers are full of players logging in to experience their own personal Star Wars™ sagas and to play with friends through the hundreds of hours of massively-multiplayer content. It’s an exhilarating experience to watch the game grow as more people join, and even more exciting to hear what players are saying they enjoy most about the game.
