If you were unable to watch everything we showed off during our Game Update 7.9 "Legacy Reborn" livestream, don't worry! Here's a breakdown of what we talked about.

Active Twitch Drop

From now until May 14th, watching 1 hour of live content on Twitch will grant you the Dantooine (Crash Site) Poster Decoration!

When 7.9 goes live, players will need to watch 4 hours of live Twitch content to get their hands on the Nightshade Hssiss Mount.

Update on story content

English voices for upcoming content are in place, however, at the launch of 7.9, players using a French or German client will be able to play Legacy Reborn with English voices and subtitles in their native language. As soon as we have an update on French and German recordings, we'll share when players can expect these to be added!

Legacy Reborn Storyline

With the help of a traitorous ally, Darth Jadus has stolen Darth Nul’s holocron from you, the key to her masterworks involving the Force. He is on his way to Khar Shian, where Heta Kol and the Hidden Chain have reconstructed Darth Nul’s ultimate machine. Malgus and Shae Vizla are also on their way to the Sith moon, each with their own goals. With all eyes turned toward Khar Shian, you and your allies must prepare for the final showdown of Legacy of the Sith.

New type of gameplay in Legacy Reborn

The final epic confrontation on Khar Shian will have the player taking the gameplay perspectives of different characters during the final battle. Below is an example of the player fighting as Lana Beniko.

Quality of Life Updates

Companion Terminal

Starting in 7.9, the companion terminal will be disabled and all narratively unavailable companions will remain available in gameplay under a new tab: “Ineligible for Story”. This includes any companion removed through story progression (KOTFE) or through choices (killed/exiled).

Dantooine Dynamic Encounters

Updates have been made to the Intro Mission “Wreckage on Dantooine” with cleaner onboarding to content such as hazards, the ability to skip the mission on subsequent plays, and a reduction in the requirements for Zone progression.

The Orbital Core encounter will be separated from Wreckage on Dantooine allowing players to complete the story mission without defeating the final boss.

The 7.9 patch notes will contain a detailed breakdown of specifics around these changes and more.

PvP Season 10 “Honor in Battle”

Season 10 begins with the launch of 7.9, and will run for 16 weeks! New rewards can be earned including:

• Honorbound, Beholden, Loyalist Contender, and Honorable Combatant Armors
• 2 unique Decorations
• Honorable by Nature (Legacy Title)
• [Character name] the Loyal (Title)
• Flairs: Knightly Dark and Knightly Light
• PvP Season 10 Trophy Decoration (Small & Large) and
• Flags (Red & Blue)

And new Achievements

• PvP Season Ten Prodigy
  • Complete all Achievements while season is active
• Arena Advocator
  • Complete [WEEKLY] Go Berserk! And/or [WEEKLY] Time for Pain! missions 12 times
• Finisher
  • Reach Level 30 on the reward track
• All-star Medalist
  • Earn 2000 medals in the Arenas and/or Warzones during the season
• Warzone Warrior
  • Complete [WEEKLY] The Spoils of War and/or [WEEKLY] Conspicuous Valor missions 12 times

Nar Shaddaa Nightlife Event

Nar Shaddaa Nightlife returns June 30 and will run for 6 weeks. Two new themed decorations can be earned when the event begins!

Cartel Market Offerings

As a reminder, the Bionic Overlord armor and Dark Infiltrator sabers were released with Game Update 7.8.1b.

When 7.9 is live, new items will be dropping in the Cartel Market and are inspired by Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu™!

Master the Fight: Cargo Transport Bundle

For a limited time through June 9th, 2026, get this 6-month subscription bundle that includes the GDU CGL Droid Carrier Mount, a droid minipet, three utility droids, unique dyes, and Cartel Coins.

Galactic Season 11

Galactic Season 11 “Light and Shadow” will arrive with Game Update 7.9.1 and will operate similarly to season 10. Season 2 and 4 fan favorite rewards will be making a return to the rewards tracks and seasonal vendors.

Companions Fen Zeil and Amity Companion are also coming back! Gifts on the Galactic Seasons Vendor have been discounted and during the season, gifts for both companions will have an even greater discount.

DirectX 12 Spring Update

Whether you’re a brand new player or one that’s been with us since the very beginning, it’s likely you’ve heard us talk about Modernization. This has taken many forms in recent years, from visual focused efforts like the refreshing Environments and Characters, to more technical ones like the 64-bit Client. Modernization continues to be a priority for the team as we look to the future of SWTOR, and at the nexus of both technical and visual upgrades is DirectX.
