The response to the Free Character Transfer Service so far has been fantastic. Hundreds of thousands of players have already taken advantage of this free service to move their characters to new servers where it’s easier to find groups and play with friends. This initial service is still available and allows qualifying characters to be transferred at no charge from selected origin servers to selected destination servers.

Game Update 1.3: Allies is now live for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™! This update brings some exciting new game systems to The Old Republic™, features we’ve been looking forward to sharing with the community for some time.

The initial character transfer service is now available, allowing qualifying characters to be transferred at no charge from selected origin servers to selected destination servers. This character transfer service will be available as long as is required to help maintain population balance across the service and create a better overall gameplay experience. Select servers will be eligible for free character transfers based on the player populations of the origin and destination servers.

One of the features that will be included as part of Game Update 1.3: Allies is Adaptive Gear. Now you and your friends will be able to personalize your experience by wearing any social item in the game, and have that social gear scale up to match the highest level of armor that you can wear. You’ll also be able to augment your social gear with item modifications, giving you the full benefits of your high-end modified armor while being able to dress as an Imperial Trooper or a slave dancer.

Game Update 1.3: Allies is on the horizon and promises to bring a number of welcomed systems to Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. With this latest game update, players will be able to join each other to take on the most challenging content in the game through the new Group Finder tool. The Group Finder tool will allow players to search for groups based on the type of content they’re looking to play, as well as their group’s needs in combat.

Throughout E3, journalists will be able to take a sneak peek at some of the exciting content that is coming to Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ in the next year. This includes new Space Content, an increased level cap, the upcoming Operation: Terror From Beyond, which takes players to the Gree-controlled world of Asation to battle against an army of unseen horrors, and more!
