Wreckage on Dantooine coming with Game Update 7.8!

A ship of unknown origin crashed into Dantooine’s surface. The damage from the crash caused the ship’s systems to behave erratically, infinitely expanding three of the biomes it was sustaining. The multitudes of flora and fauna that were aboard the ship now threaten to overtake Dantooine's native environment.

The Crash Site Outpost is a new area on Dantooine that level 80 players can travel to and explore. Once there, the GSI researchers are eager to request assistance from players in studying and investigating the crash site.
In each area, players will see a number of Dynamic Encounters to complete in the Sporefall, Glacial Trespass, and Geothermal Disruption Biomes. As players work through these encounters, they will notice that the respective biomes will level up, revealing new encounters as the ship fights back against player intervention. It is not only the encounters that will present challenges for players, but also the biomes themselves. Each zone features an environmental hazard that players must navigate.
Once the biomes are completely leveled, a Master Mode difficulty boss called the Orbital Core will await them. In order to take on the boss, players must have the following requirements:
- Completed the Wreckage on Dantooine mission
- The boss will also be available if a player is on the step to defeat the World Boss
- Joined a 4-player group
- It is encouraged for players to have a group comprised of a tank, healer, and two DPS
Once the boss encounter is available, players will have an hour and a half to challenge and take it down before the biomes reset and need to be leveled once more. Before getting to the Orbital Core, players must clear a miniboss encounter first by selecting one of three paths. Each encounter is themed around each biome’s environment.

After the miniboss is defeated, players will finally approach the Orbital Core. Players should expect this encounter to be challenging, and it should not be a surprise if it isn’t defeated in the first attempt!

To reiterate, this is a Master Mode difficulty boss. However, over time, as players make progress on a new Reputation track, they will not only unlock new rewards but also helpful consumables that will give players an extra hand in navigating the environment and encounters of the Crash Site Outpost. It is intended that with the assistance of the consumables and buffs, the majority of players will be able to defeat the Orbital Core. However, there is a desirable title for those who are able to defeat the boss without any help from these items.
