Full List of Broken Decorations in 5.10

Recommended Posts

Since more and more people keep finding glitched decorations following the most recent patch, I'm going to try to compile a list here of all of the decorations broken by 5.10. If you see a broken decoration in one of your strongholds, please reply to this post with both the name of the decoration as listed in the Decorations interface as well as the specific sort of glitch you are seeing. I will update the OP with new glitched decorations as they are reported/discovered.

ETA: Many of the glitched decorations originally listed here were fixed with 5.10b. The list has been edited to reflect the fixes. All decorations now listed remain glitched after 5.10b.

Ambient Machine: Birds - The holo image on the panel has been restored; however, the decoration continues to appear upside down in the preview window.

Ambient Machine: Party Chatter - The holo image on the panel has been restored; however, the decoration continues to appear upside down in the preview window.

Ambient Machine: Techlab - The holo image on the panel has been restored; however, the decoration continues to appear upside down in the preview window.

Crystal Light - Available for purchase from the Ossus reputation vendor, but it does not show up in the decorations interface and cannot be previewed or placed in strongholds.

Hanging Vines - There are two decorations with this name. The 5.10 patch fixed the orientation of the Hanging Vines decoration that goes on a wall. However, you can no longer search for the Hanging Vines wall decoration in the decoration interface; attempting to do so will only pull up the ceiling version. This always happens when two decorations have the same name. One needs to be renamed. Also, the texture on the wall Hanging Vines decoration is extremely low-rez and pixellated, even when seen from a distance.

Holofire Jedi Knight Shrine - Available from the Ossus rep vendor; preview is bugged, and decoration does not appear in the decorations interface listing normally. The only way to locate it is to search for it while you are currently editing a stronghold and have selected an eligible hook.

Holofire Jedi Padawan Shrine - Available from Ossus rep vendor, statue in the decoration is missing its head, left arm, and lightsaber, both in preview and in game.

Iknayid - Decoration says it's from "Source: Zakuul: The Eternal Championship" instead of the Exotic Creatures Personnel Bundle as it did previously. Those who have previously purchased and used an Iknayid decoration no longer have access to it; the change of the source has deleted all learned copies of this decoration. Considering this decoration is purchased with Cartel Coins, this is robbing people of something they spent real money for.

Irrigated Garden - Drops from one of the Ossus world bosses. The decoration covers the entire Centerpiece hook; the edges of the hook are not visible because of deco’s size. Once the decoration is placed, it cannot be removed, even by the 'Reset Decorations In Room' option. (Note: I do not have this decoration yet and cannot confirm the glitch myself. According to the thread the issue was reported in, the decoration remains glitched after 5.10b.)

Paxton Rall - Holding an invisible weapon in a fighting stance when placed in strongholds.

Scorpion TK Weapon Rack - This decoration can no longer be donated to guilds with credits.

Small Jedi Padawan Fountain Shrine - Cartel Market decoration, missing left arm.

Small Jedi Padawan Shrine - Available from Ossus rep vendor, statue in the decoration is missing its head, left arm, and lightsaber, both in preview and in game.

Stoneray - The creature from the Exotic Creature Personnel Bundle has the same name as the pet from Blood Hunt, so it can't be seen in inventory, donated to guild, placed in strongholds, etc. Considering this decoration is purchased with Cartel Coins, this is robbing people of something they spent real money for.

Torch Jedi Master Shrine - Available from Ossus rep vendor; purchasing and learning this decoration actually adds to the decoration count of the Torch Jedi Knight Statue decoration instead, with the Torch Jedi Master Shrine remaining unavailable in the decorations interface.

Torch Jedi Padawan Shrine - Available from Ossus rep vendor, statue in the decoration is missing its head, left arm, and lightsaber, both in preview and in game.

Vinn Atrius - Name appears over the decoration's head. Holding an invisible weapon in a fighting stance when placed in strongholds.

Weapons Display: Satele Shan's Dualsaber - Available from the anniversary vendor; the dualsaber's rotation will randomly stop and the decoration will remain locked in place. (Note: this is an intermittent issue and I cannot confirm yet whether it was resolved in 5.10b, I will need to continue to observe the decoration in question for some more time.)

***

There are some other issues with decorations from this recent patch that don't directly glitch the decorations or prevent their use, but that are most likely mistakes, which I will list here:

All Crystal Containers - These decorations can be placed on Small and Medium Floor hooks, but for some odd reason cannot be put on Medium Narrow hooks.

Blue Crystal Container - This decoration can be placed on a Small Wall hook, whereas all the other Crystal Container decorations can only be put on floor hooks.

Green Crystal Container & Storm Crystal Container - Assigned to Civic - Structures subcategory instead of Civil - Sculptures like the rest of the Crystal Container decorations.

Jedi Knight Monument - Available from the Ossus rep vendor at Legend rank. The statue used in the decoration is the same one used in other decorations labeled 'Jedi Master' (e.g., Jedi Master Fountain Shrine, Small Jedi Master Shrine, etc.). The decoration works just fine, the name is simply a bit confusing.

Can confirm seeing all of these despite different computers, full repair scans, and even a complete re-install of the game.

I do hope Bioware finds the missing grandmother real soon, though the lighting effect from a glowing green polyhedron might be an interesting decoration by itself, without the text of course.

Just have to comment on this, too. All of these errors are really annoying to see in our strongholds. I have to complain more about the fountain, though.

"Fountain: Jedi Temple - Missing the 3 water spouts"

If you get up close or inside the jedi fountaiin, it is actually missing all of the water in the fountain, not just the water spouts. There is no clear water effect at all to see or run through. At least the lighted blue bottom in it still looks right, even if its dry-as-a-bone. :'(

Also, the "Posters Gone Mad" and the "Missing Granny" are the same glitch. The repeating words "missing granny" can be seen when you get up really close and examine the green glowing area.

I hope they fix everything, esp. these decos, ASAP.

I've looked in game as well, and you are indeed correct! I've updated the description of the glitched decoration in the OP.

Ossus reputation vendor sells a Crystal light deco which apparently doesn’t exist. You can buy and claim it but it never shows up in the list of decos, and its preview is bugged.

Added! Thank you for your report!

Items such as the Holographic Republic Flag don't show up at all when placed, either (or at least they don't for me).

The sphere from the Replica Sacrificial Sphere is also missing. In fact, most objects that included a part that wasn't solid are missing.

The hologram flags and the Replica Sacrificial Sphere are both already listed in the OP. If you know of any other decorations with missing parts, please let me know!

The statue in decoration Small Jedi Padawan Shrine, obtained from the Ossus reputation vendor, is missing its head. You can see that error in the preview window, but I can now confirm it's present in the actual deco as well.

Good catch! Added to the list.

Was here to create a thread on the broken pictures, but looks like you've already got them listed.Just thought I'd add my voice to choir and request some resolution!

Strongholds are one of the biggest draws of the game for me, so I'm getting frustrated not being able to utilize all me decor!

New Tuesday, new Ossus reputation level, new deco bugs. :( (Don't get me wrong, I am completely delighted that so many new decos are available, but I do hope these get fixed precisely because these new Jedi decos are so welcome.) Some of these are a little more complex than just how they display when used, so I'll do my best to explain. But I'll start with the easy stuff.

1. The Holofire Jedi Padawan Shrine is missing her head and her left arm and saber. This poor Padawan's missing head is a recurring motif in these decos.

2. The Torch Jedi Padawan Shrine is missing her head and her left arm and saber. Seriously, this poor girl.

3. The Small Jedi Padawan Fountain Shrine (this is a Cartel Market deco) has her head and her saber but is missing her left arm.

4. I previously reported that the Small Jedi Padawan Shrine was missing her head, but I forgot to mention that she's also missing her left arm and saber. Figured that was worth noting since it would seem the arm and saber aren't necessarily connected to the missing head.

5. The Green Crystal Container and Storm Crystal Container decorations are incorrectly assigned to the Civic Structures category when the other 11 crystal container decorations are all in Civic Sculptures.

6. The Torch Jedi Master Shrine decoration is unlocking as the Torch Jedi Knight Shrine deco; you can see this clearly indicated in the chat window in the System Feedback channel. It logs as purchased correctly (Jedi Master) but unlocks as Jedi Knight. The fact that it unlocks as Jedi Knight is reflected in the decos inventory too, not just the System Feedback channel; after purchasing and unlocking one of each deco my inventory shows I have two Torch Jedi Knight Shrine decos and zero Jedi Master ones. To further complicate things, when I hover over these decos in the vendor's inventory, the tooltip tells me I have two of BOTH decos. Some coding flags are definitely wrong behind the scenes here. (For the purpose of abbreviating this issue in the main post's recap, I would suggest something like: "The Torch Jedi Master Shrine and Torch Jedi Knight Shrine decorations are incorrectly linked to each other in the unlock logic, resulting in incorrect decoration counts and the Jedi Master Shrine deco not being available to use.")

7. The Holofire Jedi Knight Shrine decoration can be purchased, and System Feedback channel indicates it has been unlocked, but it does not appear in the decorations inventory (it is showing as zero count unlocked and the preview graphic is borked) when you are scrolling through the inventory or doing a filter text search for the deco. HOWEVER, the deco does appear in the inventory if you are in editing mode in a SH and have a hook selected, and you can place the deco this way. There would seem to be something bugged just with the inventory menu logic in this case.

8. And for a non-Ossus deco, the Seed of Rage decoration (acquired from the GSI reputation vendor) is now entirely missing the seed within the container.

Thanks for the reports! You're really good at spotting these issues. OP has been updated.

Just want to add to the people mentioning the picture bugs.

Was horrified to return to the game and see green balls sticking out of most of the pictures in my strongholds instead of images.

Many thanks for compiling the list and fingers crossed they are fixed very soon.

Hanging Vines have a duplicate name. There is a ceiling and a wall deco with this name. The wall one had its orientation fixed but still has a duplicate name.

Seeker Probes – As a decoration, they don’t respond to X/Y or rotation controls.

Vinn Atrius' name appears over his head. Also, he's fighting with empty hands. His spear doesn't appear.

Stoneray -- The creature from the Exotic Creature Personnel Bundle has the same name as the pet from Blood Hunt, so it can't be seen in inventory, donated to guild, etc.

Iknayid -- The creature from the Exotic Creature Personnel Bundle used to have the same name as the Eternal Championship holographic decoration. Now, they have different names, but now things are WORSE.

Trained Iknayid Holo says it's from "Source: Vendor: The Eternal Championship"

Iknayid says it's from "Source: Zakuul: The Eternal Championship" instead of the bundle.

If you already bought Iknayid in the bundle, now you don't own one!

Generator Node (Republic) -- Only the Imperial version is available based on PVP rank. The Republic vendor sells the Imperial node.

Most of the time you put a companion in your stronghold they stand in place with hands on the hips or arms crossed. Paxton Rall stands holding an invisible Assault Canon. He is in the stance the trooper goes in when they draw their big weapon out. It looks pretty dumb, especially since I wanted him in my Nar Shaddah casino/cantina area.
