On behalf of all Mandalorian Roleplayers

This is the exact armor my Mandalorian compadres and I are talking about in this link below.

https://i.gyazo.com/144b4fcbcc5b68fb23a1e6c82171b26a.jpg

It is the same color and models of almost every Mandalorian NPC in the game.

Just a few examples here below

Even one of the first Mandalorians you meet is Braum "Zakkeg" Bourne and even he has a set, as seen below in this link

https://i.gyazo.com/c4bf6bb65404fba8692e3f12ed6a6c40.jpg

We understand that you released the Mandalorian Hunter's armor set as seen in my example link below, and although it is the same texture as the armor this thread is for, It is the light armored version. And this thread is for the heavy armored version with the Jetpack.

Below, I myself have made an image (Please excuse my paint skills) of all the exact differences that I am talking about.

https://i.gyazo.com/acaeaf60703f351a07e0427807680427.png

Now here's a couple reasons I believe is why this armor has been requested multiple times.

1. This armor is already in game as you have seen

2. It is literally just a texture we are asking for. You will see in the image what I am talking about in the link below.

This image I also made, Is a picture of one of my friends in an armor set already available to him in-game. You will see that the armor that this thread is requesting is the exact same model of armor, but the pictures on the right are the textures that this thread is requsting but is not available in-game.

https://i.gyazo.com/3938941c8d4e3ca20cd54944a3ba125a.png

To sum this request thread up, this armor would be very appreciated by quite a few of the Mandalorian Roleplaying community. I believe that not ALL Roleplayers want to be a special snowflake that sticks out above everyone else, some just want to fit in with the lore of the amazing world we have in SWTOR. And for those Mandalorian Roleplayers that are against having this armor, there are plenty of other reasons to have it. Such as outfitting your companion with it and setting them up in your stronghold or just to have it for a special event or just to be a collector.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for those that support this. Go ahead and endorse. Thank you!

+1 I've been saying that since it came out. Thanks for making this post, they need to know.

That helmet is needed too because the seeker set has a re-textured hunter helmet. I'm certain I could chuck out a new re-textured set like bioware does in half the time producing 5x the results. Hire me instead bioware?

FOR MANDALORE!! :)

Yeah I wanted that armor for my BH too. its been asked for long time even I made a topic about it as many others have, yet nothing has happend. Im not saying that the mandalorian hunter armor version should be removed, will be good armor for torian since he is more flexiable as meele.

However I dident have pictures to show back then so I just described where those mandalorains with that blue armor was so thumbs up on that buddy. Also the armor is the closest thing we get to a Death Watch armor of this star wars Era.

To the two posters above me: If colors really hurt your eyes that bad, you must have a hard time walking outside.

Nah, I'm used to actually walking outside.

I'd say lay off the acid if those neon colors are a norm for you. Also, be careful with all that salt, it's bad for your health. :rak_03:

I'd rather not turn this thread into a dumb pissing contest. To make it simply put, if you don't have something positive to say about the thread or do not agree with it's composition.....just hit the big arrow on the top left of your screen and you don't have to see it ever again.

Just because you write a huge wall of text in flashy colours, it doesn't mean they will actually care more. If at all.

Well, making a post with regular text/colors hasn't seemed to grab their attention either. Because God knows this armor has been requested and requested and requested numerous freaking times. This person is posting in flashy colors not to grab attention so much as out of sheer frustration. I mean, what the heck? I got this game in Christmas 2012, planned on making a bounty hunter Mandalorian character before launch, and once I hunted the Mandos on Dromund Kaas I was thinking that by the end of the story I would eventually obtain this armor... And granted, there is similar armor, but you'd think, logically, that becoming a Mandalorian would grant players the most basic of Mandalorian armors. I didn't think I would be waiting 4 MORE YEARS!

Hotshot's Starfighter pack... what a tease... You'd think that they would release the heavier version of the Mandalorian Hunter armor right around the corner... nope... still not here. I'm getting sick of this.

This armor release would require 0 modeling, 0 rigging, 0 texture creation... heck the most you would have to do is render the armor for the item pictures and cartel market preview pic... Maybe making the textures work with dyes would take time, but certainly way less than making an armor from scratch... There's just no excuse, there's so many NPC armors in the game that should be released or should be in the base game that are getting side-lined for new armor creations.

To the person above, thank you. This post was made out of a frustrating conversation I was having about the armor with a friend who is also a fan of the particular set. We talked about other people that requested it and how in 4 years it STILL wasn't here, so we decided to make a thread that even a Grade school student could understand with pictures and colored texts to basically get the point across about how silly it is that we DONT have this armor yet.

No problem at all, and you're exactly right. It does need to be written with bright colors and big font. It does need to be made so easy a grade school student could understand, because people have tried in the past to explain the situation and other posters who could care less about Mandalorian armors would post replies like : "These armors exist in the game, just use a blue dye with X Y and Z armors" , or they would try to post a link to the Mandalorian hunter armor.

BioWare, although they keep releasing Mandalorian armors, they somehow ALWAYS skip over this set. A lot of people don't want to be (just as you mentioned) a special snowflake and stand out with some overly-complex armor. A lot of people also don't want to wear armor of already existing infamous Star Wars characters (such as the various Mandalores) because they're creating their own unique characters . A lot of people DO want to role-play as members of a faction, and they want more traditional armor sets.

The Mandalorian Seeker armor was a step in the right direction, but it still doesn't make sense that the default blue jetpack set hasn't come out.

If you've ever gone outside on a rainy/overcast day and look at the leaves on trees you will see the green he used on the post. On numerous plant life, and fruit (such as strawberries), you can notice the type of red he used on the post.

I don't know why this is unusual for you? I don't know why you're telling him he's salty? You come into the thread, have nothing to add, and just remark about the FONT COLOR?!? Is that what you're going to waste your time doing? Don't you have a job or school work to complete? Who has time to look through threads they're clearly not interested in and remark on the aesthetics... Maybe you should apply to BioWare and work on the forum layout and design.

The real problem is that roleplayers take themselves too seriously. Plus, the armor you want is already available in multiple forms. It just has different names. If you want to act like spoiled childrens, it's your choice. But if you are not willing to accept compromises in a videogame, good luck with doing that in real life.

Take random pieces from each of those sets below and built yourself your own "real Mandalorian" armor set.

To JeKoCZ, you obviously didn't read my thread nor did you read Chairman Wesker's post. You can NOT make that exact armor, take it from someone who has been roleplaying a dedicated Mandalorian for 4 years. And also as the thread described and what Chairman Wesker ALSO said, not everyone wants to be a special snowflake and have their own personal look. It's a lore thing, if 90% of the Mandalorian NPCS in the game are wearing a certain type of armor that means PLAYERS who are roleplaying Mandalorians should ALSO have access to it. Take everyone of those pictures you uploaded (And I appreciate you taking the time for that as well) and compare it to the pictures of the armor I uploaded, You can NOT replicate that EXACT set, It doesn't look the same, I even EXPLAIN how it doesn't look the same. I put it in big flashy Kindergartner colors so people like YOU that obviously have no interest in this set whatsoever and could careless about this thread and would rather take the time to complain about the thread's composition then the actual content itself could understand. This section is for Cartel Market suggestions, my thread is for a armor that has been suggested many times, If you can not handle colors with your eyes or can not read past two lines then i suggest to you and anyone else to not post in this thread without grasping the full information I posted. First of all, I don't think you read the thread very thoroughly.

Second, I don't think you understand the differences in textures/models between the set requested and the one's you linked.

Third, I don't think you understand the simplicity of the implementation that would be required in comparison to creating new meshes/textures/etc. I mean is it really a compromise? We're not asking BioWare to make new content, but simply copy/paste content for our money. Honestly, business-wise, this would be a really smart move considering the content is already created and this armor has been requested numerous times the past 4 years. Believe me, If this game wasn't online, modders would have already either ported the armor to players, or texture swapped the Mandalorian Seeker Armor to match the armor.

Fourth and final, I don't think you understand what this game's genre is. It is a MMORPG, Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game. Notice the word Role-playing. If they didn't want us to role-play and wear certain faction uniforms then why did they release a Mandalorian Hunter set, or a Republic Officer set, or the Imperial Officer sets, or an Imperial Trooper set, or all the Republic trooper sets. Why would they ever release any NPC armor sets at all? If you're not a "Role-player" then why are you playing a role-playing game? This isn't an MMO with some role-playing elements, its an MMORPG.

I didn't make this thread... and for the record, you're right, I'm drowning in my tears right now from reading a dated, sophomoric, sexual comment on the internet.

Did I say you were the OP? nope. But man, are you on their leash it seems.

Stock pile all that salt for us.

No it doesn't mean that they have to give you what you want just because others have it. You have the standard hunter set. Is it good? No? Deal with it.

Once again, I will say, If you do not agree with this thread or It's composition and have no useful information that we don't already know then It would be much appreciated if you just ignore this thread completely. This thread isn't hurting you (Atleast I would hope not, that would be weird). I wouldn't expect people like you to understand this thread cause like Chairman Wesker said (Whom I appreciate the support from) you obviously aren't a roleplayer that cares about details and stories.
