  1. Which would be best for mowing through story content all the way to max level? I know with my sniper it would have been nice to have any stealth, but the fact that I could destroy a pack of non elites with a single press and silver elites with two made it easy to just kill everybodything Hiding behind the shield all the time sucked
  2. Thank you both! Some great feedback and recommendations. I really appreciate the thoughtful responses
  3. I’m newly returned and just finished the story on an imperial agent. The AOE was awesome but being a literal turret behind a shield wasn’t my style and I am looking to play a melee force user next I’ve narrowed it down to a Sith Warrior which mirrors the Jedi Knight Looking for feedback from those with more experience. Hopefully this is a fun discussion that can be helpful to other new or returning players trying to get a feel for how these specs all function These are my options and criteria Juggernaut (Guardian) Immortal (Defense) Vengeance (Vigilance) Rage (Focus) Marauder (Sentinel) Annihilation (Watchman) Carnage (Combat) Fury (Concentration) Likes Fast paced action Mobility Instant abilities Solid AoE Dislikes Managing dot timers Positional requirements “Fiddly combinations” Things I need Easy, fast and fun progression through story mode Respectable Master difficulty flashpoint contribution once we get to that level of required skill Respectable group PVP contribution Things I don’t need Tanking S-Tier operations DPS raid logging S-Tier PVP ability Our Group Immortal Jug Hatred Assassin Medicine Operative
  4. I would be disappointed if they fiddled too much with the status quo in 1-49 pvp. I could see a touch more exp being awarded so that you can comfortably do nothing but pvp and your class story but any of he other changes (including significant exp bumps) is defInitely unwelcome.
  5. Thanks guys I love the stealth and vanish, even if you can't heal for 10 seconds after, and I like the fact that scoundrels/operatives are not very common as healers. My concern is the secondary resource mechanic. I've taken a look at it and I'm just not sure I understand how it works and how much of a pita it is. PVP is chaotic enough without a clunky mechanic in the way. It's one of the main reasons I never played a sniper, which was appealing to me in many ways.
  6. Why on earth would they do this? In a game with a crappy UI such as this one, any other cues you can get to procs, etc are inavluable.
  7. Heya A few days ago, a friend and I decided to re-roll to republic after having done a bunch of pvp empire side. I had played a sorc with corruption spec and had a lot of fun. I was pretty squishy but had a lot of tricks to stay alive, even if my healing throughput couldn't match skilled merc healers. So, now we're over on the other side and I'm going to make another healer and was curious how folks thought the changes were gonna shake out. I was considering just playing a sage ... again ... but had thought it might be time to try something new. I know about the changes to sage, since I played the counterpart extensively. The changes to force conveyance/force bending and it's impact to Deliverance/Dark Infusion is going to be really tough on sage/sorc players. The only clutch heal now much more easily and just slow as hell. Heal burst just shafted. I've seen that commando/merc healers are about to have a lot harder time managing ammo/heat. Smuggler/Operative got some buffs, but frankly, I had never learned too much about them as they were so rare in warzones. So, what's next?
  8. lol. Have you seen their changes? If one good thing came out, it's that you're about to see a massive number of re-rolls away from Sorc/Sage. Only one competitive DPS spec now (hybrid is dead) and their heal specs got hammered.
  9. What is this nonsense about warriors and knights being the preferred target? That right there invalidates a number of the opinions supporting this ridiculous idea. Anyone EVER seen their team put a mark on a warrior or knight? Didn't think so. The only mark they ever have is the giant column of light shooting upward when they are carrying the Huttball. The one that says score incoming.
  10. I'm keeping my on the Razer Hex. Looks pretty beast.
  11. + Huttball - Voidstar
  12. I totally disagree with the OP. Huttball is my favorite WZ by a long shot. I've been pvping since Sullon Zek in EQ and Huttball is the first time in awhile where a designer has actually tried to innovate. Civil War and Voidstar are retread content from years ago.
  13. Considering an alt for those nights when grinding pvp dailies just isn't fun and was considering a stealth class so that I can avoid trash as much as possible. I hate trash! How effective and practical is force Camo in this regard? Im sure operative or assassin have more practical uses of stealth but I don't want to count out the marauder if this is a feature that gets some play when questing and doing dailies
  14. This post is awesome. "I would hate to see all those people who level almsot exclusivly in PvP gain so many rewards, they got the Valor Rank as a reward, faster access once 50 to the Battlemaster gear. That is enough imo" Then why isn't getting valor rank 50-60 as a reward "enough" for you? Is it because you are a unique and special snowflake? You captured the "pro" argument of this thread in a nutshell even though you thought you were supporting the "con". Pure win!
