So now that Krayt Dragon's aren't extinct (thanks to The Mandalorian season 2)

Why haven't we seen them in SWTOR on Tatooine? Since this game predates the films?

If anything they should be a world boss

For starters they're different timelines, Mandalorian is part of the new canon where as SWTOR is part of Legends, secondly while it would be nice to have Krayt Dragon as world boss maybe it wasn't possible due to engine limitations.

If they can design a colossal bosses in the final phase of the Terror From Beyond or Gods from the Machine, they can a do a Greater Krayt Dragon with ease.

Those two are operation bosses, not world bosses, the best thing they could do is perhaps a single operation boss raid like with the Geonosian Queen or Toborro's Courtyard. But outside of Lucky I can't think of a time when they added a new world boss to a vanilla planet.

Has SWTOR ever claimed that Krayt Dragons are extinct?

There are none in the area we can explore, but even if we take game scaling into account, the area between Anchorhead and Mos Ila would be a just a small bit of the whole planet.

BW could easily add a new deep desert zone similar to Section X.

There's a thought, by adding a Greater Krayt Dragon to a potential future operation would be something in the cards for sure, and for drops for taking it down would would be different color variations of the Krayt Dragon pearls (blue, green, red, white and black) that could be added to our weapons in replace of using crystals (which are +41 stats). While the Krayt Pearls would be somewhere around +61 stat.

Make it happen Bioware :D

Adding another desert zone on Tatooine similar to Section X on Belsavis is another possibility, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated.

That is actually a good idea. Would be pretty neat to see it happen, doubt it will because they don't seem to revisit old planets that often but maybe we can see that type of reward popping up somewhere else.

OMG. This would be the best idea! You know it would get a lot more interest than the recent ops. I would personally prefer it as a world boss, myself. My guess is that the coding of established planets is complicated and that the team is weary of expanding existing planets or dealing with the problems that arise. Lore-wise, it makes complete sense.

Also it might be a better idea to set the pearls stats to +61, considering you would get +122 set bonus for using a pair of them (main hand and offhand).

It would be awesome if they added Krayt Dragons to Tatooine, either in the form of a new World Boss or Operation Boss. Even according to in game Lore, Krat Dragons were still around during the time of Revan. It wouldn't be that hard to believe that there would be a Greater or even lesser Krayt Dragon somewhere still in the Dune Sea.

This is what the game codex has to say about them:

Original Game Codex Text :Krayt dragon

Enormous predatory lizards that prowl the dunes of Tatooine, krayt dragons are both feared and revered by the Jawas and Sand People that share their world. Slaying one of the fearsome beasts was once a rite of passage for young Sand People warriors, and the Jawa believe krayt bones possess mystical properties. For all their importance to Tatooine’s native cultures, however, krayt dragons are extraordinarily rare and quite possibly extinct–no living krayt has been seen in decades. Nonetheless, their towering skeletons are a testament to their power and majesty, and a pilgrimage to the legendary krayt graveyard remains a holy ritual in many Sand People tribes.

So.... not declared extinct, but "Possibly". Perhaps they came back, due to our characters killing so many sand people..... ;)

In the pvp area on Tatooine "Outlaw's Den" there was supposed to be a krayt dragon who, once it was killed, would drop a rare White Saber crystal. I dont know the reason this was caneled (around 2013) but its said the dev team changed or atleast their vision of the game. It was all set and finished and only had to be "activated" to be playable. Some say its just a rumour and way to trick people into going to the pvp area to be killed but i recently found the cave and inside there are skeletons and some droid parts like arms and legs doe there is no living creature inside. It can be found near the bottom right item seller (he's standing in front of a Big Rock wall and to the right there is a sort of tent..drive along the rock formation till u are able to drive up the rocks.. at some part and if you are about the same height as the tent u can look through the rock wall to your right if your drive close enough to it and see the inside of the cave :) doe its not official ofc...to me it reeeeeaaaaallly looks like the supposed place with all the skeletons and stuff and the only "see through" rock formation on the planet...so mby they dont need a new OP or Worldboss..just let this become some sort of secret worldboss like the Ancient one on Yavin or what ever... :)

There's a codex entry on Tatooine in the Krayt Dragon Graveyard section of the Dune Sea on the map which claims Krayt Dragons haven't been seen in decades by then and that they are thought to be extinct. You pick it up by clicking on one of the bones as a lore object. It isn't conclusive, however.

Then I would invite them to check out SWG as that game had plenty of Krayt Dragons roaming around in a specific location on Tattoine and that game was in a different time period (think about New Hope/Empire Strikes Back timeline) than this one. People killed them a lot of times for their hide or the pearls they used in their lightsabers so extinct not really .

Just because they haven't been seen in a while doesn't mean they're extinct. They haven't been seen in a while because they presumably aren't particularly active given their size which would mean they're only going to be moving around when they can reliably consume more energy than they'd expend from moving and because Tatooine is a vast, uninhabited wasteland. In the OT era, it's stated to have a population of no higher than 200,000 (excluding Sand People and Jawas) on the entire planet. Most of that would be concentrated in a few small locations too.
