  1. Regarding armors for cosmetic use: is there a way to unlock/save appearances of armor models (like quest rewards, not cartel market gear) so that I can sell the gear or do I have to fill up my bank with every piece of gear I may want to use cosmetically in the future?
  2. If I'm not mistaken, the ball is reset when they die. You do not get it back, you just auto-kill them when they were expecting to auto-kill you.
  3. Didn't the Devs recently say that tanks aren't working as intended in pvp and that our survivability is much lower than it should be? I know I read that regarding Jeggernaut/Guardian, would asume it applies to Powertech as well. Currently shields don't work in pvp.
  4. This has happened to me so many times
  5. ::whisper:: Even after the nerfs, last night I sent all of my credits to an alt I'm leveling. My main (with 400 slicing) had less than 2k credits left on him. After one night of playing (with 3 toons constantly slicing) I finished the night with 80k credits. Started with less than 2k. So I'd say slicing is still perfectly fine. You make a TON of money selling those mission discoveries your companions bring back. I even sold mine really cheap, barely over what they auto list for on GTN and still make over 78k in about 4 hours.
  6. There was an article posted yesterday regarding the upcoming content patches that are releasing in April/March (1.1 & 1.2 Rise of the Rakghouls). In the article, they said that other updates/fixes would come AFTER the two content patches. Specifically they mentioned chat and UI. So don't expect it before April would be my guess.
  7. I'm really looking forward to it just because it's designed to feel like survival horror. That's a great twist for mmo content. Looking at the screenshots, each player has a "flashlight" droid hovering above them lighting their way through the darkness. This sounds like tons of fun. I really hope they play up the horror element using sounds/music and hopefully separating your group at some point. I think people are reading "zombie" and running with it. Sure, it's a disease outbreak. But according to the Taris quests, Rakghouls aren't mindless. I think (and really hope) that these flashpoints will play out a lot more like Aliens(the movie) than your typical zombie game.
  8. Those builds look like a lot of fun. I've been messing around with the talent calculator this morning and I've found one that I think will suit my desired play style more than my current build (currently I'm a pve Immortal spec). Could you give me some feedback on this build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101fMhfzrbkuZZrr0rz.1 I'm very rarely targeted in group pvp and generally focus on building as much protection as possible while cc'ing healers and high dps targets and trying to help my group finish off low hp targets. I'm hoping that the added mobility of Obliterate will make up for the loss of burst from not having crushing blow. One of my biggest concerns is mainly how the defensive talents I've skipped over affect incoming damage from guarding other players. It seems that right now, Juggernauts shields aren't properly working in pvp and a ton of damage gets through, but I'm not sure if or how this related to incoming damage from guarding and whether or not this damage is(or is supposed to be) mitigated by defensive stats and skills.
  9. Give in to your passions, Republic. Let your hatred fuel you. It's true that the developers are just trying to chain you down, they told me so. Do you hear them laughing at you this morning in their corporate meeting as they count your money that they're practically stealing from you one Death From Above at a time? I think I hear it, listen closely now. You must compile your complaints and do your maths, start rioting across the surface of Coruscant, violence will force them to listen! Let your rage guide you, getmadbro! Through strength you achieve victory and through victory, your chains are broken! Break the chains, Republic dogs!
  10. Yeah, i could honestly care less. Since I'm Empire, I don't get to play Alderran. 90% of my matches are Huttball against other Empire teams. So at least 90% of my matches are PERFECTLY BALANCED. Just be glad you get to play Voidstar and Alderran. Edit: Although, I did get two Voidstar matches lastnight. And in both matches, the "more honorable than thou" Republic team exploited and were through the first blast door before the match even started. By the time the Empire team could leave the spawn room and head through the exploded doors, the Republic team was already half way across the bridge.
  11. They pick it because it's absolutely ridiculous and completely overshadows and outshines every force action that any other force user has ever performed. Even though he's just a second rate character from a videogame. He pulled a ship...damn near the size of a small moon...out of orbit...from how many miles away?..and drove it into the planet. While Yoda (to use your example) who is supposed to be one of the top like 3 most powerful (if I remember correctly), struggles to lift an x-wing from like 30feet away. He pulled a star destroyer out of space and into a planet. Everyone points that one out because it's so absolutely absurd.
  12. The Sith Warrior quest is just about to multiply it's greatness. You'll head to Tatooine and Alderran in search of the Jedi padawan and things start getting really good. My Juggernaut (who is lvl IV darkside) just finished act one and I was really happy with the story. So happy in fact that I've now created a Marauder (who is going light side to see how it affects the story) and he's now lvl 25 on Nar Shadaa. I haven't played the Inquisitor story past lvl 15 or so, but from what I've read it seems to be a lot more political/mystical whereas the Warrior is more militant. Both are striving for more power but in very different ways.
  13. Christmas special canon trumps all other tiers though, right? Right?
  14. Why shouldn't Jedi be able to be dark and Sith light? Are there not many many examples of these in the EU and movies? Also, your trainers on Korriban and Tython respectively wouldn't be able to sense wether you were light or dark. It's supposed to be incredibly rare for a force wielder to have the power of sensing someones true morality (although, I know the Mirakula or however it's spelled have a racial ability that totally invalidates this). That's why in the SW storyline it's so important to track down the Jedi padawan who has this ability. Her power is incredibly rare and she is a very big threat to the Sith who have operatives hidden within the Jedi order. Also, as someone said before, this is a war. There are good and evil people on every side of every conflict. Just because you were born force sensitive in an Empire system and sent to train on Korriban, it doesn't mean you're innately evil. Just like being a Jedi doesn't make you good, ignoring your emotions can lead people to great evil and "the road to hell is paved with good intentions".
  15. This is done a lot in the Star Wars universe. Especially in videogames. They create characters that are capable of force clapping planets in half in an attempt to make the player feel like the most powerful being to ever exist. Then these characters somehow get spproved and become canon. It's really stupid. In the original trilogy, Vaders strength and mastery of the force was established through the use of a few awesome force chokes. Palpatine had lightning. Then along comes "Starkiller" who is Vaders apprentice yet can pull a star destroyer out of orbit and drive it into a planet like a railroad spike. Where Luke (according to canon the most powerful force user ever) struggles to pull a lightsaber to his grasp from like six feet away.
