mike_carton
I use Firefox to peruse the forums and post. Effective a few hours ago, the forum software is "correcting" double-quote (") characters to quotation marks (“ or ”); this is preventing posters from manually inserting formatting tags into the post. That is really bad because the formatting buttons on the interface for creating posts has become non-functional at the same time (See my other bug report: Creating a post - Formatting options disabled) You can't even insert any links because the "Insert Link" button doesn't work. Has there been an update of the forum software that has not been properly tested?
SteveTheCynic
Formatting tags are inserted using square brackets, not quotation marks. It's also worth looking to see if you should be pinning the blame on Firefox rather than the forum software - "quote" marks work just fine on Edge. mike_carton
The tags are inserted using square brackets and I'm quite aware of that. The values in those tags - like the name of the font color - are enclosed in double quotes. Example: COLOR="MediumTurquoise" It has been working in Firefox for years.
