When you send one out on one of there missions are they then unavailable until it's finished or does all that happen in the background and you can still use them normally? thanks for any replies. Yes, you can send them off just before you log out and they will continue the mission while your character is logged out (even if you log out of that one to log in to a different character). If they finish the mission before you log in again to the character, they will deliver the mission at the moment you log in rather than when the mission time ran out. Normally, that's not a big deal, but if the mission time runs out before the daily reset at the end of (for example) Wednesday/Thursday, but you log in after, they count for Conquest as having finished on Thursday/Friday, not Wednesday/Thursday. Daily reset is at noon GMT. Mission times vary widely. A companion with Influence rank 50 (max) will finish missions in about a quarter of the time that a rank 1 companion would, and the overall time varies from a few tens of seconds for a Rank 50 companion on a Grade 1 (lowest) mission all the way up to over an hour for low-rank companions on top-grade missions. I think the time it takes is listed in the mission description, and it changes depending upon the influence level of the selected companion. Also, lower level missions take less time. It is, indeed, listed in the description, and the time shown there already takes into account all the speed-varying effects you might have (Influence rank, mission-efficiency amplifiers, etc.).
