Tigerseyecat
I now have a laptop as my desktop was failing. I can link a monitor with a HDMI to the laptop. On the laptop, some of the game colors are very different. For example, the color purple is a lavender color. When the game was on the desktop, it was a richer purple. If I drag the game to the monitor, the color become richer, but the horizontal is stretched out. My attempts to correct this have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have ideas I may try to correct this? SteveTheCynic
For the colour reproduction aspect, that's a long-standing probem for *everything* that uses screens, whether the screen is LCD, LED, plasma or even CRT. Different screens given the same signals reproduce colour differently, and there's often, especially for the built-in screens on laptops, not a lot that you can do to fix it. For external screens, you can mess with the contrast and brightness controls, but those aren't often accessible for laptop screens. Maybe mess with the game's gamma settings(1) (which might require a visit to the GPU driver's specialist controls rather than the game itself). (1) Most MMORPGs have this, but I'm not sure about SWTOR. I know it lacks the "which screen to use" thing that some games have for full-screen non-windowed. JediQuaker
When it comes to 'stretching', check if your laptop's screen resolution is the same as the external monitor's. You may need to change the in-game screen rez settings when playing on the external monitor. Edited June 26, 2022 by JediQuaker
