Now that the screenshot competition has ended, here's the chance for everyone to post their vistas. If you're from one of the countries that couldn't enter or (like me) made too many screenshots of each planet, here's your opportunity to post your links.

EDIT: Since others already did - add your entries too if you're happy to.

Reminder only screenshots from planets on the list which were, so these planets only please:

I must add, that most of the bodies of water look amazing on the ultra graphics setting. Even if you do not play with that setting on, everyone should venture out and explore in ultra setting from time to time.

I absolutely love looking at others' pictures, and enjoying trying to see if I can guess where on the planet each was taken! Lots of fun, and thank you all for sharing! :D

Since the deadline has passed, I'm comfortable sharing my submissions. :) Everyone in my family has an active account, so all three of us submitted images for all planets except Mek-Sha. We simply ran out of time, as we didn't find out about the contest until a couple of days ago.

I think you and I have a similar eye for screenshots Sarova! I noticed a few familiar locations from your shots. Although I shouldn't be surprised, I already knew you had good taste in romance options. ;)

I'll start with some "runner-up" screenshots that didn't quite make the cut for my final submissions. I'm probably down to share my actual submissions too (since deadline to submit has passed), but I figured I'd hold off just a bit longer and see what the general consensus is first.

Hutta:

This planet gave me some trouble. While I love all the planets in their own way, the yellow sewer planet was starting to wear on me after a while. Personally I struggled to find a shot that balanced being visually appealing with capturing the "essence" of hut slime.

Korriban:

What's not to love about Korriban? A fan favorite, and one of mine as well. It was very nostalgic hanging around some of my old haunts and watching new characters run into the tombs.

Makeb:

Mek-Sha:

Really fun planet, the colors are great and the cyber punk/neo Tokyo feel give it a distinctive flair. Have been impressed with the design since my first visit.

Ord Mantell:

I love purple, therefore I love Ord Mantell.

Ossus:

The graphics upgrade on this planet is very noticeable which made so many of the shots really pop. The water in particular is stunning while walking around. This one took a few trips to decide what direction I wanted to take my final submission!

Tatooine:

A classic, it was hard to decide if I wanted to capture specific aspects (like bones, tribes, architecture) or capture the "essence" of the wastes and emptiness! Still not sure if I made the right call, but very interested to see the winning shot for this planet.

Tython:

Like most Republic planets, Tython is beautful. It also felt very appropriate wandering through the colorful trees in fall. I'm happy with my final shot, but this planet was a tough call!

Yavin 4:

Good memories from SoR! I hadn't really stopped to appreciate how lovely the cave in the Stronghold was before. Usually I'm rushing from decoration to decoration, not stopping to appreciate the default environment.

Zakuul:

This actually ended up being the most stressful by the end. Early on I felt good because I had several shots I really liked, but when it came time to pick I was on the struggle bus. I love so much of Zakuul's architecture and the fun geometric patterns (very Art Deco-ish), but finding a way to display that while capturing the essence of the entire planet was incredibly hard! There are also so many different sides of Zakuul: the swamps, the seedy under belly, the towering structures! I am very interested to see what direction others took this one in.

I've been very impressed with the entries that have been submitted. I was glad to see many people having fun with the contest. :) You've got some nice shots here too.
I'm always so happy to see y'all interacting on the forums with us! Glad you're enjoying the submissions, I really loved the contest idea and promoting community involvement. Thank y'all for all you do. <3 Edited by Karameck

...while I will not be able to post my screens (just wayyy too busy with zilliion things) I was on the same bus....Like making tonnes of screens only to realize that you can submit only one per planet.

And there were SO many that would qualify!

Funny enough I can see my ideas were not that much different than other players, so at the end i have submitted those that were a little bit "odd" or "away from the mainstream" so to say...

Regardless, i did not have enough time to get back on the Tatooine baloon and wait for the "perrect shot" - as i saw in one of the above posts.

The only one I struggled with was mek-Sha - too small for having a good picture, there was alwasy something "in the way" and if ithere wasn't, the look was just MEH -SHA.

I wonder how they'll sort out the winners of the pics that are nearly identical, if they pick those in any category.

From the official rules:

“In the event that several people submit the same, or very similar, Entries, the Entry submitted first will be selected as the winner.”

For my final selection I tried to take into consideration what others might submit to help my entry better stand out.

All the screenshots are fantastic! Thanks for adding them. It's interesting that so many of us went for the same vista for some of our shots.

Since the deadline is well and truly gone, here are the ones I entered:

Hutta

Fathra's Palace - I really like the green tint here. Waiting for a shot without players in took a while.

Korriban

Statues I went for this one in the Lower Wilds over the one at the Valley of the Dark Lords overlook, as I saw so many people there looking out on it for their screenshot.

Ord Mantell

Northern Talloran Coast - the coasts on Ord Mantell are easily overlooked as we're so busy killing mobs. I loved this one due to the islands.

Tython

Jedi Temple - lots of people went for this. Again waiting for no players to be in the shot took a while.

Tatooine

Balloon over the Dune - waiting for the balloon, the balloon de-spawning, riding the balloon for ages. I tried to get the shot Karameck got of the Oasis, but failed miserably, so it came down to this. My favourite is the one I posted of the balloon in silhouette but I didn't use that as my entry because the balloon looked a bit squashed.

Makeb

Toborro's Estate - I went for this one because I loved the clouds in background.

Yavin 4

Yavin 4 Training Grounds viewed from the World Boss's balcony - played dodge the boss for a while until I remembered I have stealth characters

And then I had to use a character that could do archaeology and slicing as mats kept getting in the way of my good vista shot!

Zakuul

Undercity Transport Station - I decided on this one as I didn't think anyone else would consider it as it's so ordinary in the life of Star Wars - people catching trains like us in real life.

Ossus

Jedi Library Grounds - I really wanted the shot of this statue from the sea. There are two of them opposite each other, however I kept getting EXHAUSTION ZONE on the first one (near to farms I think) trying to get it from far enough out. This is the one on the opposite side of the sea, and was less exhaustion zoney however, this was the furthest I could get to take the screenshot before exhaustion doom.

Mek-Sha

The Scrap Pit - I was originally going to submit the view on Huttbreaker's Compound, however I thought lots of people might go for that as it's bright and colourful. I settled on the Scrap Pit because it shows the darker side of Mek-Sha both figuratively and literally. The Brothers are just terrible after all.

For my final selection I tried to take into consideration what others might submit to help my entry better stand out.

Same here, though I think the best vistas are known by so many people already, so there are probably going to be a lot of similar entries. I was hoping people wouldn't have the same "balloon patience" as me for Tatooine - I was wrong!

Alright, I’m all in too then! For reference the way I take screenshots is… not particularly efficient, but I like the results. I would typically go into an area and snap a shot of anything and everything that caught my eye. Then I would go back and weed out photos that just didn’t work for me, then I pretty much always ended up having to revisit the planet to get a better shot of whatever images I liked from the previous batch before. Rinse, repeat. It’s a time consuming refining process, but a labor of love! One of my favorite parts of this game is the universe so I was happy to have an excuse to roam around soaking it in.

My submissions:

Hutta: I’m a sucker for some good foliage. I ended up falling in love with the snaking path the trees formed from this angle, the hutt palace (I believe Nemro’s for this shot) and rainbow at the end sealed the deal.

Korriban: Taken from inside the Korriban Incursion FP. Aside from the slightly more dynamic color palette, I also thought this would be a fun twist on the popular choice of the statues near the new arrivals ship pad. Waiting for the ships at the bottom to be in a good position and shots and ships to stop firing by took a while!

Ord Mantell: I knew I wanted the purple flowers to make an appearance in whatever my final submission ended up being, but I didn’t expect to find a nice spot that captured three different flora from the planet! This grumpy red guy was also a fun find. At first I was concerned because he was facing away from the camera at the angle I wanted, but lucky me, his animation made him turn back to face me from time to time.

Tython: So many beautiful waterfalls and trees, I really hated leaving some shots on the drawing room floor. At the end of the day I felt the autumnal day trees and Jedi history were really what defined Tython for me. What I liked most about this shot was the parallel between the statue and the trees, making them feel connected, seemed appropriate for the Jedi home planet.

Tatooine: This view is also courtesy of the balloon ferry. Twin suns, endless sands, and a Sandcrawler just felt right.

Makeb: I got probably over a hundred shots of this Gazebo trying to get the angle just right. I wanted to balance the lighting from behind, the amount of statue visible, and those lovely pink trees. At the same time, I wanted to make sure some of those distinctive Makeb plateaus made an appearance.

Yavin 4: This one is a double edged sword, I know the general spot is popular but there was a lot of effort put into the timing and composition, and frankly, it’s a great spot! The rainbow fades in and out, there is an NPC that spawns that needs to be removed from time to time, and the yellow flying creatures are always on the move. In the final shot I waited patiently to get the yellow guys top left to help pull some of the color from the Rainbow over.

Zakuul: This one I was the least satisfied with, not because I don’t love the shot, but because as mentioned before, there are so many different ways one could take Zakuul. I decided to prioritize the strong geometric buildings and imposing structures since that’s what kept popping into my head first when I thought of the planet. I felt the blue lights on the ship added a nice layer and “pop” to the image, so made sure to get that big guy in frame.

Ossus: I liked that this angle captured so many of the defining aspects of Ossus for me. Orange sand, black rock, ancient Jedi ruins, and bonus water under the fountain. Proper distance and regular clear outs of NPCs was required to get the shot nice and clean while I waited for the right alignment of the planetary projections.

Mek-Sha: I finally settled on this one because I felt it had the right balance of the aspects I loved most about the planet. The colorful signs, those amazing string lights, and the height of the buildings. I also was really drawn to how the red of the canopy broke up the shot and helped add some structure and perspective.

Absolutely love this one! The strong presence of the buildings and the expanse of the swamp and trees is stunning. The way it captures the hazy fade is the sun is a perfect compliment to the setting.

Good angle of this building! I considered trying to capture it for my final submission as well but couldn’t decide how to approach it. I feel like this area really captures the color palette of Zakuul that associate with it the most.

Korriban

Statues I went for this one in the Lower Wilds over the one at the Valley of the Dark Lords overlook, as I saw so many people there looking out on it for their screenshot.

This is a fantastic angle, really helps show off how imposing and oppressive the figures are meant to be. Haven’t seen any from this angle yet either, so good eye!

I appreciate how you managed to center the balloon! I think people tend to underestimate how hard that can be, it was something I kept running into trouble with myself. I also love the balloon shadow shot as well, there is something really fun about the hint of the iconic shape without actually having it in frame.

Makeb

Toborro's Estate - I went for this one because I loved the clouds in background.

Makeb really does have the best clouds. <3

I like the gentle haze on this one too, it manages to make it feel soft and atmospheric, but you didn’t lose any of the definition on the architecture.

Yavin 4

Yavin 4 Training Grounds viewed from the World Boss's balcony - played dodge the boss for a while until I remembered I have stealth characters

And then I had to use a character that could do archaeology and slicing as mats kept getting in the way of my good vista shot!

I think this is my favorite shot of yours. It captures the scale of the building as well as the trees, and you packed in so many little details in a single shot! The red accents also draw the eye without being distracting or out of place.

Same here, though I think the best vistas are known by so many people already, so there are probably going to be a lot of similar entries. I was hoping people wouldn't have the same "balloon patience" as me for Tatooine - I was wrong!
I also thought that on my balloon journey, but I think we were both right in our thought! We may not have been the only one to think of it, but I bet it weeded out a lot of people to at least make it less common. :) Edited by Karameck

This absorbed many hours of my days/nights. In the end, the hardest part was deciding on which one I would submit for the competition. Posting only the ones I submitted below.

Hutta

https://imgur.com/a/vmntAWT

I love this one! This is the kind of shot I was hoping to get.

This is brilliant! This was the shot I tried ages to get but failed, so ended up sending Toborro's Estate instead

These two are outstanding. I'm calling it that either or both of these will win. I considered the spikey buildings on Zakuul but ended up taking one of the the train instead. Whilst I was out in the open messing around in exhaustion zones on Ossus to get my statue picture, I completely forgot about the inside. Your Ossus shot is superb.

Thanks for the feedback on mine. Like you it was really hard to pick the final 10 from all the screenshots I took. And yes, getting that balloon centred on Tatooine was hard work - my recycle bin was well used for Tatooine, Yavin and Ossus. I like how people have managed to get the yellow sky on Hutta too - I gave up with that and went for an indoor shot of a palace instead.

Where is this fab screenshot from on Makeb? I can't work this out.

Considering Makeb is falling apart, we've all managed to get some really good vistas there :) Your three are great. I like your Yavin picture and your Zakuul one from the swamp is great - I tried the swamp first but couldn't get a shot I liked.

These are all fantastic, and I was going to hold off on posting my own until after the winner's had been announced, but now I'm just feeling giddy about it. As an unfortunate point, I pruned out my extra shots as I went along (found that I was unable to take screenshots at times and thought it was a full folder kind of thing - realized after that I was on an alt and just forgot to map the screenshot key to my keyboard. Very loud facepalm immediately followed). Also only submitted half of the planets, either because I felt other people would be more familiar with them or relative certainty that someone was already standing there taking a picture of the same thing I saw.

So anyways, this is what I've got:

Entries:

Hutta: https://imgur.com/a/1IV9l2e Wanted to catch the opulence of the Hutts against the environment they created. Think I succeeded on first part, but fell short on the second - which was a running problem for me on Hutta. But I just kept finding myself staring at that palace, so I pulled the trigger on it.

Tatooine: https://imgur.com/a/aKA20kd One of the two shot I came here for. I remembered stopping here years ago outside the exchange base because I found the landscape with all of its rock faces and elevations exquisite. I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to find it still held up. The terrain, shadows, colors, and arrangement all just mix so beautifully, and I really think It covers the entire range of Tatooine. If there's any downside, I'd say it's a touch too busy, but my alternative shots just didn't draw the eye quite the same.

Makeb: https://imgur.com/a/0llWMH0 The other one i came here for. Way back when Makeb first released, I had some pretty junky internet and subsequent lag spikes. Wound up falling below one of the mining platforms, but it was so laggy I could just move around where I landed because I was in a Schrodinger state of not-dead-yet. And I remember looking up and finding that view breathtaking. So flash forward to today, and I swear it still looks like an oil painting. Covers pretty much all of Makeb too, from the natural spires, to Hutts' mining ops, to Regulators' hardware, to the scenic vistas of a resort planet. So anyways, regardless if it does anything in the contest, I'm never going to forget this view.

Zakuul: https://imgur.com/a/GW5vRuS I, too, love the art deco styling of Zakuulian culture. But it also has an element of brutalism in all of these skyscraper faces in tight formation that really just lends a subtle undercurrent of oppression. So this is all to say that I really wanted to capture a city skyline. But, finding unique and particularly eye-catching buildings to anchor the image on was a bit of a challenge. For me, I found the last chapter of KOTET had the best selection with five such buildings in close proximity, warm dusky hues, abundance of foliage, and floating ships of the eternal throne which directly tied to it's military symbolism. Nevermind that I had to time the shots so it wouldn't show the city in the throes of decimation (or at least the ember marks can be confused with traffic in the distance). Downside is - and I realized this one after the submitting it - It's kinda similiar the the loading splash screen. Still a good image, just hoping it's different enough.

Mek-sha: https://imgur.com/a/62Yt4O3 More of a simple one, I like the gloomy, cyberpunk-ish feel of an alleyway that's cramped yet most empty, dark and strikingly colorful, short in distance but visually looks longer. For an outpost that's almost entirely underbelly, I think this works.

Also, sorry for the wall of text.

I am absolutely blown away by all the gorgeous pictures everyone has shared!!! I really wish that the developers could offer ALL of them for purchase in-game... I'd buy every single one of them! :jawa_biggrin:

You all have amazing screenshots, and I am honestly glad that *I'M* not the one that has to choose between these phenomenal pics!

Spoilered so as not to big text quote (but I didn't want to snip), however these are great! It's really interesting to read why people chose the views they used.

I am absolutely blown away by all the gorgeous pictures everyone has shared!!! I really wish that the developers could offer ALL of them for purchase in-game... I'd buy every single one of them! :jawa_biggrin:

This is a great idea! Jackie K, any chance of making this a reality? There are so many great screenshots in this thread alone, it would be great to be able to buy an art pack from the CM of the best ones that didn't win/weren't entered.

You all have amazing screenshots, and I am honestly glad that *I'M* not the one that has to choose between these phenomenal pics!

Agreed. How on earth will they choose the winners? I bet they find the ones for Makeb hardest to choose as they're all really good and we've all focused on different locations. In fact all the screenshots are outstanding (and yes I include my own too :D). We've put a lot of effort into getting these. I really enjoyed doing it.

These are all fantastic, and I was going to hold off on posting my own until after the winner's had been announced, but now I'm just feeling giddy about it.
One of us, one of us!

Man, the feeling of exploring Makeb for the first time was really something else...

Also, I'm in awe that you can actually see some of the surface drilling going on in the distance here! What a great location to really distill down the heart of Makeb and the story behind it. I love the layers and depth you have going on here (and with your Tatooine shot!) really conveys the lofty feeling of being perched up among the clouds.

I completely feel you on trying to find the right buildings to anchor a shot! I was pleased to find that even though it looks like a bunch of spikes from a distance, when you stop and really pay attention there is a lot of interesting shapes and variety woven in.

I appreciate the color palette here, different from the usual which really helps it really stick with you. Also those statues with the lights give it such a nice structure, you've got the classic blue highlights, and you managed to work in some of the greenery! Feels very inspired, and well thought out, I love it.

Oooh this is a fun one! I think I got some shots at the end of this alleyway (I was drawn in by all the stringlights) but I missed this lovely spot. The signs pop so well against the dark buildings, and you have such a perfect variety of shapes and colors here. I'm especially digging the green.

Also, sorry for the wall of text.
Never apologize for good content. :)

Both your shots and descriptions were really enjoyable to see, thank you for sharing.

EDIT: And thank you so much for the feedback Sarova! This thread has been so much fun.

Where is this fab screenshot from on Makeb? I can't work this out.

This was taken inside solida hesk's estate. As I captured some of the cool and well known vistas it struck me that others were getting the same ones, so when I saw the colors and lighting inside that compound I opted to submit that one.

Everyone has posted lot's of cool snapshots and most of us seemed to have similar screenshots. To try to get something unique I ended up in some crazy locations. As I got into more exotic locations the perspective could be better, but things were so far away that it made a poor photo.

Some of the stranger locations.

Thanks :) I didn't occur to me that was inside Solida Hesk's estate.

I tried for ages to get a good shot on Hutta that included the tops of those towers because they're so different but I failed miserably. I'm happy with the one from Fathra's palace that I chose in the end as I thought lots of people would submit ones of the landscape.

This seems really fun. Enough that it's getting me to post on the forums for the first time! And everyone's pictures are so lovely, I hope any of mine can match up.

Sorry in advance if the walls of text are a bit much, but I want to also share my experiences choosing each image.

Here are my nominations:

Yavin 4

https://imgur.com/cCP0g82

The picture I'm proudest of, and the one that took the most effort to achieve.

Right from the start I knew that this would be the exact spot I took a picture of. Ever since I first encountered this place, on the first character I really invested in, it's been one of my favorite spots in the entire game. By which I mean not just The Breaking in general, but this particular point where you can see so many cool things at once - the statue, the lamps, the mushrooms, the shrine, the light through the ceiling... it's just gorgeous. For a while I even considered it that character's home of sorts.

So, finding the place wasn't the problem. The problem was, that once I encountered Tulak Hord's spirit and was reminded that he wanders the entire area, I knew that I just had to get a shot with him in it, to give it a whole new level of ethereality and weight. So then it became a matter of waiting for him to go to the right tunnel, and to go far enough into it, which he usually didn't; plus, every once in a while a player would interact with him and then he'd disappear for 10 minutes; and every time he spawned there was no way to control where he would appear, and he could stay in the same part of the cave for a long time. PLUS, I discovered that sometimes he would walk instead of floating with his arms held out, and that seemed so much cooler and more mysterious, so I tried to capture that as well.

So after a lot of attempts I finally managed to do it, and it was completely worth it.

Tython

https://imgur.com/pBzyxwC

I knew I wanted a picture of Kaleth, which is the epitome of Tython for me - ancient, mysterious, structures merged with nature. I initially tried to take a shot from the top of the ruins, way up the hill, but I couldn't make it work from any angle, mainly because of all of the trees hiding everything.

So I decided to try from the entrance, and this angle, I think, manages to get a lot of elements in one shot: the fountain, the remains of some walkways and arches, the full length of the wall and some of the statues and doors along it, the staircase, plus some other buildings and towers in the background (I think you can even see a bit of the cave leading to the Chamber of Speech); plus there's enough trees to get across the ruins becoming one with nature, but without obscuring much.

Hutta

https://imgur.com/V107sUQ

Unlike most of my choices, here I didn't have much of a personal connection; it's simply one of my favorite locations in the game purely for how cool and atmospheric it is. This stretch of small swamps / pools, dotting the land one after the other, with some of the Bog People staking the land in between, is just so memorable.

After a few attempts I was able to find an angle with a lot of additional things in the foreground and background - the walls of Jiguuna, the giant pipes, the Evocii rebels' water tower, that building way off in the distance, plus those towers / chimneys in the top left (which I didn't even notice until now).

Tatooine

https://imgur.com/ATJ7PxI

One of the ones where I have no doubt my choice wasn't at all original, but the Krayt Dragon skeleton with the suns and mountains in the background was the only thing I could think of that felt right to me. I hope my spin on it was unique enough that it can stand out.

After a few attempts from farther away, where the Republic base was visible and the mountains were only partially loaded, I decided to try from closer up to give more focus to the skeleton and give the mountains a more solid presence. I think the suns work well with both of them "rising" above something; and the Scyk added a nice little bonus element, especially when it turned in the same direction as the skeleton.

Ord Mantell

https://imgur.com/N6Htceu

Another one that took a lot of work and that I'm proud of. This was inspired by my trooper playthrough, where my character was completely wrecked by the Havoc Squad betrayal; and so when she exited the volcano she just needed to be away from people, so she walked down the side of the mountain and then through the wilderness. I thougt a shot from the mountainside, in addition to the personal connection, would give a unique point of view.

I eventually settled on this site, which gave a view of the lava flow, the Republic camp, a few insurgents, the crashed ship in the sea, and a lot of that wonderfully gloomy sea and sky and islands. I decided to try and include both that small ship that flies from the island to the mainland, and a spurt of lava up from the flow; so it took a lot of time to capture both at once, as well as the insurgents being alive, but eventutally I got it.

Korriban

https://imgur.com/d3ytzVL

The one I have the least confidence in, but I decided to stick with it. I really love this view from the very edge of the Valley, looking up at the statues and Academy; unfortunately, it turns out it's a lot harder to make it work as a static image. I wasn't able to find a place where I could put the Academy in the center of the shot and still see the statues well, and wherever you stand the statues are obstructed by the platform and rocks. I settled on this shot, where the Academy is visible and the statues are mostly visible.

Makeb

https://imgur.com/RgXJNdr

I wanted a shot that captured the feeling of looking out at other "islands in the sky". Ultimately I compromised on that a bit since I wanted a shot of this area, but I think it still looks cool to have multiple layers of rock towers. I also tried to get a picure with some waterfalls, so it was nice to discover a waterfall and pool in this area that I could fit into the picture.

Ossus

https://imgur.com/YtZ0PSK

Another one where I'm sure it isn't very original, but it was important to me to nominate this image. I just recently read Tales of the Jedi for the first time, and I absolutely loved it; so this experience of "returning" to the Ossus Library was kind of moving. And tthe experince of stepping into a shallow body of water that stretches of into the distance, with environments and landmarks "floating" above it, is such a defining Ossus experience for me. So seeing the library across the water was the picture I wanted to take.

And here's some more pictures I liked but didn't nominate:

Yavin 4

When I was still struggling to get a shot with Hord in it, I tried to see if any other angles would be better for this shot. I managed to include this weird mushroom in the top left, which adds one more bit of flair to the location. (Unfortunately I wasn't able to incorporate it into my final shot.)

https://imgur.com/FTotUzY

There was also something I discovered by accident - the same tunnel from the other side of the statue looks like it's in the middle of pure darkness (especially when you're on your mount and the camera becomes more fish-eye lens), which gives it a really cool look.

https://imgur.com/h8oBY5q

Finally, when I was done getting my nomination picture, I decided on a whim to try and climb up to the top of The Breaking from the outside. And I actually did it! And when I got up there I discovered... well, that I could see the edge of space and time ;)

https://imgur.com/IoqDXTw

But I also discovered I could take a really cool shot from there, with the Traning Grounds in the foreground and the temple in the background.

https://imgur.com/frSvxbe

Tython

Here's a few shots I tried taking from the top of Kaleth. I think they look pretty nice, but they don't really work at getting across the feeling of Kaleth or of Tython in general.

https://imgur.com/JocUsQr

https://imgur.com/VRd0aS5

And I was briefly considering nominating a shot of the Jedi statues in the water, from when you first arrive on Tython. I still remember how wonderful it was to start the game for the first time, start a Jedi Consular character, and then see this as I step out into the world for the first time. And I assume a lot of players have had similar experiences.

https://imgur.com/nIzgEO3

Hutta

My first attempt at taking a picture of the dotted swamp. Looking it over later, from this angle it wasn't able to get across just how cool this place is, so I went and tried again.

https://imgur.com/VVR0enc

Tatooine

An earlier attempt from farther away, getting the Republic base in as well. It's not bad, but the base doesn't really feel representative of the area, and takes too much focus away from the skeleton; plus the mountains only being half-loaded just looks weird (though it does have a fitting mirage effect).

https://imgur.com/CDaI4Bf

Ord Mantell

This peninsula and island, from the Knight story, was the first time I saw Ord Mantell and I was immeditely taken by it.

https://imgur.com/wJxpa4p

This shot of the sea, the moon and the crashed ship is probably too simple, but still looks nice.

https://imgur.com/TqanuT0

When I was trying to figure out what picture to take from the mountainside I thought I'd try one where the mountainside was part of the picture, but I couldn't really make it work.

https://imgur.com/JopmAT0

Korriban

When I was looking to see if there was a better place to take the shot I wanted, by chance I looked up and saw that that was also a neat perspective.

https://imgur.com/AsdmFLb

And here's one from somewhere halfway down the ledge between the Academy and the Valley. It looks pretty great, even though it's not what I wanted to nominate. (It probably looks a lot better than what I nominated...)

https://imgur.com/mEDg4x9

Makeb

I was trying to get a good picture of that giant waterfalls-tower on Frinn Mesa, and this was the best one I could get.

https://imgur.com/bbYLz4v

Ossus

When I already knew what kind of picture I wanted, it was really cool that I landed on the planet, and it was right there in front of me! But it felt like the Library was too far away in this shot, so I took another one from closer up, at the farms.

https://imgur.com/0hwNQw2

I also considered choosing the view from the Library, rather than the view of it. It's nice, but ultimtaely felt less impactful.

I nearly entered this view for Ossus as it's a great view. I went with a view of one of the statues from the sea instead.

It's clear we all share similar opinions on where the best views of the 10 competition planets are. Did you enter one for Zakuul?

I didn't enter one for Zakuul, because I haven't "been there" in ages, and I sort of remembered it as being kind of boring (and I don't have a personal connection to it so I couldn't be bothered to check).

After seeing some people's Zakuul pictures here, clearly I was completely wrong! There are some stunning shots there. I'm actually playing KOTFE+KOTET again for the first time in years, so I'll be sure to enjoy the sights.
