according to TORF it's no longer available, but rumor has it that it might still be a world drop... if you know the right level to farm it at

 

AFAIK there is no look alike set for the pubside skin you have pictured, but the impside skin is very similar to the Remnant Arkanian (witch has extra shoulder pieces) that still drops from alliance crates

If I'm not mistaken, it was a reward for Oricon story missions. Devs pulled out those rewards with 4.0, so it's unavailable. Look at Torfashion for similar ones. Maybe one of the "Remnant" ones.

I think there's a craftable chest piece like that. I'd have to log in and I can't atm, to check I use that chest on my trooper iirc as one of his outfits.

Slight update, I know that the Gauntlets are a rare schematic drop for Grade 7 Underworld Trading, but I don't know if any other schematics drop for that set

Hi. The chestpiece drops sometimes from World Bosses ( Nar Shaddaa, Quesh & Taris) but you can also get a chestpiece fairly similar to the RD-31A , but without the jetpack, i think is the Contractor or Classic Contractor upper armor.

Imp side, yes it's similar (other than the massive shoulder armor)... Pub side, absolutely nothing in game even remotely close to the appearance of the chestpiece - unfortunately. Didn't know it random drops from WB's though... thanks for sharing!

There is one more possibility, an upper piece you can get on Czerka from the reputation vendor, i think it looks the same on Imperial/Republic characters.

Interesting... so, the chest again is similar on the Imp side (although the backpack/jetpack is completely different). Unfortunately, looks absolutely nothing like the Pub side chest - nothing in game even remotely close to this

Perhaps was a typo in the quote above, however just to clarify, the chest pieces do NOT look the same on the Rep/Imp toons. In fact, they are very different.

 

For further clarification, I'm not actually trying to suggest anything... perhaps there was a misunderstanding? I'm confident the Pub side version of this chest piece can not be crafted either - with nothing in game that remotely looks similar... however I do have some of the original pieces in stock from years back if anyone is interested. - and that was the purpose of my original post to OP.

You might be able to still obtain this armor and the entire set but it is/was extremely time consuming. It used to be dug up with the Seeker Droid. I have the set and it took a very, very long time. The drops were totally random. Sometimes I would dig up a piece in an hour or two...other times it was 20+ hours. I haven't attempted it in a long time though...like years so maybe the Seeker Droid loot tables were changed. But I have my doubts that the Devs would spend any time changing them. You'll have to find out where each piece drops and what area yourself though as I can't recall specifically where the chest piece drops. There was a website that had all the locations with maps but I can't seem to locate it with a search. I used to see them on the GTN once in awhile and would buy them and flip but by now it will be several billion credits...if not priceless. Good luck in your search my friend.
