MeekeeChunky
Hi all, I've just tried to launch SWTOR after the latest patch, but got the Failed To Update Host loop on the launcher. Tried the latest launcher repair tool, same problem. Oh well, clean install it is. Uninstalled SWTOR, rebooted, downloaded the latest installer from swtor.com and it's getting the same thing when I try to launch so the rest of the stuff will download. Anyone out there had the same thing? Any ideas? FWIW, I've got the game installed on two other separate laptops (one on a Macbook Bootcamp partition!) and they both work fine. AlacrityFitzhugh
Check that ALL your drivers - audio, graphics, LAN, etc - are up to date. Yeah, no. This is not a driver problem, it's a launcher/updater problem. Things like this have been around for quite a long time. Here's an article with a potential solution (I used it some time ago; it fixed my updating problems then, and they've never reoccurred. The downside is you don't get "Quick Play" any more - the bit where you can start the game while downloading. https://swtorista.com/articles/swtor-quick-play-mode-bug/
