64 bit

While they have said game modernizations will be coming next year, there is near 0% chance of either of these happening.

64 bit is in the realm of reasonable possibility, but would offer almost 0 benefit to do so

DX 11/12 is almost ludicrously unlikely considering the effort involved. Wishful thinking at this point.

DX 11 is less unlikely than you think. Consider that Guild Wars 2, which is a long-standing stubbornly DX9 game, will be launching a DX11 version in opt-in Beta later this year. DX12 is more of a stretch, naturally.

64-bit (only)

-If Microsoft stop supporting 32-bit, EA/Bioware will have two options. Comply, or make a funeral for A LOT of programs.

Can EA be 'forced by Microsoft' to be pushed into 'pure 64-bit'?

Nope. It is as likely as a chilled gin and tonic in Hel.

EA don't care. This is only a 'product' that will be shut down one day, with a Thanos-snap.

Systems have no soul. EA is a huge system. It is what it is.

You have heard of compatibility modes in Windows right?
