Hi folks,

Here are two workarounds that should help players on Windows 7 who encounter the C1/C7 error.
  1. Workaround 1: disable desktop composition in the compatibility settings
  2. Workaround 2: Start swtor.exe and launcher.exe as admin w/ compatibility for XP SP3
Please, let us know if those workarounds helped you.

Anything for win 10 users? have tried from the file itself, and from steam launch with admin checked on swtor.exe and launcher.exe. Win 7 compatability, on, off, win xp sp3, and the fullscreen optimizations enabled and not. In pretty much every combination of those I can think of and have had nothing progress. Hit play and still nothing. Was perfectly fine until patch. As I mentioned before, the same thing happened with the initial 6.1.4 patch and was fixed during whatever patch was done the very next day.
Have you hugged a womp rat today?

Too late. Where were you yesterday and today earlier? I reinstall whole game with installer launcher from guy right now already 3 hours (40% now). Second day without Swtor. Thanks.

Not all Win 10 users are affected, so how old is your install? 1909?
Play the Electronic Arts game Sims4 much? Need a new schmazzy fireplace retexture or really classy piano update?
Check out my Sims4 mods on Nexus.

I'm using Win7 64 and had to switch to Win7 compability modus.

Please fix this bug immediately.
May the Force be with you.

Got the same problem on win 10, no previous suggestion worked, and spent hours yesterday to force the system on the newest non-beta windows version7updates I could get. According to my system currently on WIn 10, 2004 right now, with everything up to date.

My guess would be to narrow down the Win10 builds that are affected (or not). But mine works just fine, so I'm not so crabby. 🙂
