BW can you please make the casino less ponderous?

You continual return of a chip makes the casino night nothing but a boring timesink. Why not just have us win something (other than a replacement chip; like a certificate, higher token or jackpot) or lose? It's to the point that I crave the red light of a loss and bemoan when I win the 50X Kingpin tokens.

WORKING AS INTENDED!

Getting players to stand around for hours clicking buttons like pigeons in a B.F. Skinner experiment is the entire point of the event. It keeps them busy for hours and hours without the devs having to bother creating more than a handful of art assets.

From a dev effort to player time sunk standpoint it is without question the best designed content in the game. Giving players shortcuts to the loot would ruin it.

When the Devs go to Vegas, they don't see any shows. They don't bet on races. They don't play blackjack. They don't play poker. They go straight to the source of the most fun you can have in Vegas, the slot machine. Because there's no other place in the world where you can experience the high flying action and excitement of pulling a lever over and over again for hours on end.

Maybe they're doing us a favor though, and trying to condition us against gambling in casinos. Better save your money and gamble on loot boxes instead.

I wish we could exchange our Kingpin chips for Emperor chips.

Right now 1 Emp chip gives us 50 Kingpin chips. How about the reverse? Say 250 kingpin chips give you 1 Emp chip?

Id also like the ability to trade in my reward for a different reward of same value. I have 4 of the "Mercenary of the Stars" contracts that I will never use. It would be great if I could exchange it for a Gamorrean Bodyguard Companion. Or I have multiple High Roller Shades. You only need 1 for all your alts when you use Outfit Designer. It would be great to trade any spare ones in for the Replica C1-4W mini-pet.

Would this be so hard to do?

Winning a chip back only allows you a chance at the other options. It is literally putting off another inevitable option. It is the epitome of redundant.

And just like a casino, how many people would never touch the event if all the slots did was make you lose? whether it's a real casino or a gaming event, I know I wouldn't waste time if you lost over 90% of the time. I can barely tolerate doing it now when we get our chips back most of the time.

I don't waste money in casino's in real life, I sure wouldn't here. Even if using credits.

I admit your superiority.

Grant me your power... still no luck here.

The key is to think that they look hideous and not want them. I got two sets so far as bycatch for stuff I wanted.

The sad part is that they'd actually look good without the stupid credit symbol in the middle and the granny bling string.

Otherwise they sort of remind me of a fairly nice pair of Uvex safety glasses with partially mirrored lenses.

I agree with the stupid looking credit symbol but have warmed up to the 'granny bling string'. I put a pair on one of my female alts and aside from that horrendous 7 credit symbol, the chain part looks fine.

Bioware, can we please get the same glasses without the credit symbol plastered on the front?

Things to make it more interesting:

1. Achievement award: win 10,000 free chips to unlock the Vaiken space dock apartment

2. In addition to free chips, you occasionally get free fragments

3. After 200 free chips, occasionally win a legacy level boost, 20 cartel coins, or a random stronghold deco

4. Playing next to someone hogging 2 slot machines at once increases the likelihood they'll be electrocuted

1. Would keep me playing.

I'll try your trick next time.

The credit symbol and the string are so ugly they make the shade perfect lol

I don't really mind using the chips, since I literally picked them off of dead bodies that I produced with force. I actually feel like the cartel certs are just as useless, if not moreso, than the free chips. Cartel certs are where my kingpin pulls go to die. I can't say I've ever seen anything on the bazaar vendors that I found interesting. Maybe if I could trade them for cartel coins, or collection unlock tokens...

Just a FYI you can win emperors chips at the kingpin slot.

They are slightly less or about the same rarity as the wraith. I pushed about 1200 kingpin tokens thru (thru the return chips and all) and i got about 5 emperors chips back. Also i bought all the mounts and a set of kingpin gear. But they do drop albeit rarely. I did fall asleep many times during the process.

The only thing that truly annoys me is after the grind to get to the Emperor slots you can end up winning a magnus bike. The very bike you can actually buy from the vender there. You get a wraith, the very same wraith you can get from the kingpin machine. I'm sure there are other similar rewards.

The rewards from the Emperor slots should be unique across the board. Nothing more disheartening than FINALLY hearing the jackpot sounds and looking at a speeder you could have purchased or already have 24 of from the other machines.

Now that I'm done with the event, I have zero desire to farm anymore Emperor chips. I can say the best way to get them is to travel to either Tython or Hutta and if you run around killing the low level mobs for one hour, you will have anywhere from 10-20 Emperor chips. I found Tython gives you more per hour (20) than Hutta (10). Not fair to for the Imp side but it is what it is. Usually just before the one hour mark I find it really hard to keep my eyes open.

However, like someone previously mentioned, yeah you can get Emp chips from the Kingpin slots but I seriously think its a waste of time when you can go to the other 2 planets I mentioned and get far more than just 6. I'm so close to reaching 10,000 kingpin chips. Wish Bioware would have a new way to deal with them next year. Like trade in 250 kingpin chips for 1 Emperor chip.

I also wish Bioware would allow us to trade in prizes for other prizes. I won 4 pairs of those goggles. I don't like them, cause of the stupid oversized money symbol on the front, and have no use for them. Would be nice if i could trade them in for the C1-4W pet or something else. Same with all the Wraiths. At least with those we can sell em for 25,000 credits. Don't see any harm in letting us trade them for something we want.

You have 4 shades and I have 3 claw machines. We should trade, if we're allowed.

I don't get why we can't trade it like the deco drops from ops. Some people (like me) would pay big money to get it, let them.

Because people would pay for them, rather than play the slots. You'd have people farming the machines, and selling the items.

Personally I'd have no problem with this, I hate the slots, and am only doing them with the emp coins, but I'd love to be able to buy the items instead...lol

On the server that I've been playing most lately, I've managed to accumulate the Wraith Mount for All 12 characters I have on that server (I'd like it if more mounts were able to be "won" by spins), I've had to pay gold certificates for the other ones. 4 of my characters have gotten Projo companion thru spins, and 5 the gamorran companion (thru gold certificates). I've gotten 1 pair of the glasses (spin) and none of the CLAW pet.

I have more-or-less ignored the event on all other servers, I only have limited time to play. And I spend the rest of the time playing those characters.

I would like the option of paying for some of the "prizes" with chips.

I'd get the Pet CLAW if that were an option.

There is market, there will be people farming the machines, their time spent deserves my credits lol

I agree, I'd gladly give credits to people to win me the items...lol, but I don't think the devs would allow it. They've already 'fixed' the BH event so people can't earn contracts and sell them on, etc.

perhaps releasing the items on the cartel market at the end of the casino event for ~5400 CC or something each would be reasonable, have them be BoP like the HK mission to ensure the main way of getting them would be the casino event

would be a decent way for the game to allow for shortcuts while still promoting the event
