The criteria last time for which character got to keep the name were a bit opaque, but consistent enough. 1A: a server merge is ... unlikely at this point. 2: They will announce it with plenty of advance warning, at least a month or two. 2A: a server merge is ... unlikely at this point. 3: a server merge is ... unlikely at this point. Only one would need to be renamed. Which one would depend upon what merging rules BW enacts at the time. As Steve says, a server merger is unlikely to happen any time soon.
