The void

Do we have any more lore regarding the void, Valkorion kept using the term void when talking about Nathema and we know what happened there many years ago.

Do we know how the void works, why does it feel cold and why there's a feeling of despair around?

Can the force itself be consumed or turn into the void by what tenebrae did?

Just curious about the concept since it could reveal a lot about how the force works

The sum total of the lore on this is in this game, comments by devs about this game and the Revan novel, so sources are somewhat limited but we can infer a few things.

The simplest explanation for the void is a vacuum in the force. This would account for the feeling of being cold and the sense of being pulled apart and devoured (think balloon being put into a vacuum chamber or pushed out an airlock into space)

When Tenebrae conducts his ritual, he basically created a vacuum so huge that it is taking a long time for the force to "flow back" in to fill it (one of the devs did say that the void was not as complete as it was in the Revan novel, and that is why our characters can use the Force on the planet, so this "flow back" process has already started).

There is also going to be a component of sensory deprivation here. The Force is basically another sense for a FU and the longer they are exposed to it, the more they get used to/depend on it. We also see this negative effect with ysalamiri as mentioned specifically in "I, Jedi" between Luke and Corran Horn. The latter just felt slightly off in the ysalamiri field, but Luke was more strongly effected, since he'd been using the Force much longer.

Expanding slightly on what MadDutchman said, The Force is life - Light, Dark, it's still part of life, part of The Force. What is called the 'Nathema Ritual' (and later got a repeat performance on Ziost), essentially involves the ritualist consuming all-other life to increase their own lifespan and results in The Void, where there is no Force, no life.

Basically, if this was 1999 and we were using Prequels terminology, The Void would be a place where all the Midichlorians have basically been eaten by The Sith Emperor. With a nice spotchka chaser.
