Could you do something about the brightness of Hoth? Maybe just set the planet at a later time of day?

if you mean the white snow from hoth then i agree with you that the white from the snow on hoth needs to have a lower brightness.

Have you tried adjusting your monitor's brightness and/or contrast?

Still I kind of agree with the OP, several area's it's too white. They really should add a bit more blue tone to the snow.

 

I also wished they'd TONE down some effects, that often see players go mostly white. There's a Lightning that happens on some Troopers and it looks HORRIBLE. I'd wish they'd tone down several FX to soften them up as well. Or make them 25-45% more transparent, so your toon isn't suddenly WHITE as well.

 

Just looks awful, so I agree with the OP about Hoth being a bit too bright in many area's. Same with several FX.

When I was a kid living in Colorado, I clearly remember learning the expression "snow blind." It's real. The sun is out, snow is blanketing everything everywhere, and you can't see without good sunglasses. There's nothing too fantastical or extreme about the depiction of snow conditions on Hoth. the brightness on hoth is still not been chance its still to much white there so please fix it so my eye's are not hurting not that much on hoth

Hoth snowblindness is so powerful it makes people in real life snowblind too!

Actual snowblindness is just like other parts of you being sunburned, except that it affects the whites of your eyes.
