Makes me think a LOT of people must not know about that vendor judging off how many are on the GTN, just like I didn't. I could say that anything that can be bought form vendors and if it is not bind on pickup it is an potential 'business material' for GTN. So i encourage you for 'treasure hunting' and checking out all vendors maybe you will find something worth your time

For example Companion Gifts lvl 5 can be bought from vendor 5000 (blue quality) 10000 (purple quality), and of course some types you can sell for an slightly but still higher price on GTN.

 

It is an 'hidden' content to explore...

Honestly with the price/cost of making dark projects, it's cheaper in the long run to just buy the 10k companion gifts and spam those.

 

Also yeah, you can buy the purple companion gifts for 10k on the fleet, I'm amazed that so many people still sell them for double that on the GTN... Same with the artifact ones in Odessen that people ask 350k for when they are sold for 250k (and still end up costing WAY more than the purple gifts).

I would say that it is a price for those that SKIP content.....or just don't care to try everything...

And it is a sign of our times when you can find something and buy on internet fast and convenient or dig trough search results and find the exact same thing cheaper.

PvP vendor sells Black Red/Blue/Purple/Orange color crystals. Granted they are the War Hero nor the Eviscerating one but still great if you just want some "cool" colors.

I'd only heard ABOUT the compendiums, but this was the first I'd seen of them being at a vendor! Guess I don't pay enough attention to the forums haha.

 

Funnily, this was literally the first time I'd ever had a level 50 companion at all haha. As a solo'r I've never had much need to spend the time spamming gifts and such, closest I came was getting Mako to lvl 46 on my first Hunter. That was only because I had done a lot of Heroics (which I don't usually) because I was trying to level the alliance specialists, she got levelled along the way I guess! Never actively boosted her with gifts and such.

Honestly with the price/cost of making dark projects, it's cheaper in the long run to just buy the 10k companion gifts and spam those.

 

Also yeah, you can buy the purple companion gifts for 10k on the fleet, I'm amazed that so many people still sell them for double that on the GTN... Same with the artifact ones in Odessen that people ask 350k for when they are sold for 250k (and still end up costing WAY more than the purple gifts).

 

Don't you need like 1000 of the normal gifts tho? That would drive me insane with the tediousness of it haha, I'd sooner pay the 10mil. Especially since thats basically nothing these days anyways

I was surprised as well when i found them out, they cost like, they cost around 15mil in total and you see people selling that cartel compendium for 400m.

 

I honestly believe there's many small things many of us have missed over the years, like how the cartel bazzar in the fleet has a lot of old armors that i swear they werent there some years ago O-o

The dude in the Bazaar who sells the Primary Black Dyes was a good find for me too haha! But I don't see many Cartel Certificates anyways

Oh stuff like that just drives me insane haha, even short time, anything really incredibly repetitive. Like changing the mods in armor sets :mad::mad: That s*** drives me absolutely crazy. Especially all the pointless damn confirmation screens on top of confirmation screens on every piece.. Oh, and outfit building... getting stuff from the collection then having a full inventory of crap to drag out and destroy one by one, again, with dumb confirmation screens... You SURE you wanna destroy this thing you can get infinite copies of dude?!? If the new UI hasn't made stuff like that easier, I might need an asylum.

I'd NEVER pay 400m for one of those Compendiums as you could LEVEL your Companion for FAR FAR LESS!

 

I'm surprised at what people as a RESULT try and sell them for. The most they should sell for at the very high end is likely 50-75M.

To get Darth Hexxid, or HK-5X from level 1 to level 50, using the Blue gifts from the Jawas (with max gift rep perk) requires 1,372 {WIDGETS}. (Scorpio requires significantly less)

 

At 1.2 seconds (max gift time-shaving perk) a {WIDGET}, it is completely worth it.

 

EDIT: The CC's you buy on fleet are BoL.

Oh absolutely, i have around 3000 purple gifts cuz i keep gathering a lot of purple jawa junk, most efficient way for droid companions.

Compendiums are definitely a too-well-kept secret. Also, Legacy character perks (everybody always seems to discover these way late into their first run, usually when googling Rocket Boots or in chat), and the Cartel Bazaar vendors that sell character-bound versions of Cartel Market items (i.e. Nihilus mask, Revan mask, black primary / secondary dyes, hover command chair, etc.)

It took me like 2-4 full playthroughs before I knew what any part of the legacy system was.... Lol. Like you say, someone just happened to explain it to me one fateful night while I was grouped. If you have a security key/authenticator attached to your account, there's also a vendor on fleet that sells some cool bits like a few companion appearances, a dancer outfit, pet, mount and some other nicknacks all for extremely cheap, I only learned that sort of recently too. You need a certain Valor level to enable the purchase, then you can buy them with credits.

 

I've never played pvp at all until Galactic Season, but my Valor is high enough on my main from just doing the unranked pvp daily/weekly missions to unlock it.

 

PS: I didn't know you can Shift+Click a vendor item to buy them in bulk until some random dude mentioned it in the gen chat. The time I wasted on buying them 1 at a time... rip my fingers.

This used to bug me too, then I realized not everyone has access to that planet / vendor, so not everyone can buy them directly.

You need a certain Valor level to enable the purchase, then you can buy them with credits.
