Nar Shaddaa Nightlife - Known Issues

Hi folks,

Thank you for the different reports concerning the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife bugs.

Here is the list of all the bugs our team is currently working on:

  • Some players can be kicked out from their conversation by other players who choose the fighting option in the "Counterfeit Tokens - Mek-Sha" Mission.
  • [imperial side] The "Red Zone" map from the "Counterfeit Tokens - Mek-Sha" Mission displays incorrect information.
  • There is no reward attached to the email sent by Yan Pengu when completing the "Counterfeit Tokens - Mek-Sha" Mission.
  • A wrong error message is displayed when there is no target selected when using the Mission item to complete the "Buy In, Sell Out" Mission.
  • The NPC to complete the step "Travel to Marked Site" from the "Counterfeit Tokens - Nar Shaddaa" Mission is not visible.
  • Some Emperor's Grace Slot machines can display being stuck in a winning state, preventing players from interacting with them.
  • Some Kingpin Slot machines are not interactable.

Do not hesitate to report other bugs from this event in this thread.

Thank you.

Found another problem for the Mek Sha quest on Imperial side. Informant says to travel to marked zone, which does not show up on map, and as a result you are ineligible for the conversation you're supposed to have to complete the quest

Is there someone in your company who hates working there and breaks your game all the time? Bounties were broken just a thought..

Hi,

Quick update: The Nar Shadda Nightlife event fixes are posted here: Maintenance: July 28, 2020.

Those fixes will go live tomorrow, Tuesday 28th, with patch 6.1.2d.

I still havent heard about the second issue which was honestly mostly overlooked given that the machines werent working 99,95% of the time. -> emperor machines EAT up the emp chips, seems when more ppl click the machine at the same time, randomly itll count the spin only for one person and others lose the chip. this issue was caused by the bright person who decided to put only 3 emperor machines per instance causing ppl to spam it. up until now, spamming the machines broke it fast so well see tomorrow after patch if more bug reports start popping up about machines eating up the emp chips.

Feedback regarding the troublesome Emperor Slot Machine: Make Emperor Slot Machine a Decoration for Stronghold. If it breaks in a stronghold, players can pick it up and place it back down again.

To get it, create vendor by the main vendors for nightlife that has the deco for 1 credit, can have a maximum of 10.

I won't assume any level of difficulty of making this a slot machine deco, such as the Contraband Slot Machine. Just ask for considering it in looking at ways to fix. My experience was that I was lined up waiting awhile because they broke fast and only a few remained working. The experience wasn't very fun because it took a few weeks for the update, and so several folks had saved up a lot of tokens (myself included, about 50). In short: I don't think the three slot machines will cut it now, similar to the benefit of having the Contraband slot machines when nightlife came our originally.

in the past ive suggested to give us more than mere measly 3 emperor machines per instance. today people were remarkably civil, queueing in line to use the machines, but it still didnt take long for the machines to break again. the fact that some ppl have 300-500 emperor chips doesnt help in moving the queue along so its inevitable that ppl will jump the line, helping the machine to break even faster.

the main problem is still the fact that there are simply too few emperor slot machines, either give us more - both to nar shaddaa casino and promenade + on meksha where we already have kingpin+smuggler slots OR like previous post suggest: make emperor slot into decoration -> we would be able to easily fix the issue by removing and placing deco again. +once ppl run out of emperor chips, without event being active it would be impossible to get more so the nightlife event will still be relevant.

Sure, but was this an actual fix that actually fixed the problem, or just another (fingers crossed), yep, totally fix now, situation?

If only there was some way for You to answer your own troll---err i mean---question yourself....

Oh wait, there is! (Hint: click SWTOR launcher, then 'PLAY' , then travel to NS Event casino area, then go nuts with RNG "fun" gambling in a video game:eek: )

It's not totally fixed.

The Emperor's machine can award you a prize with no graphics, sound, or animation to show you what happened. You'll have to check your log and inventory to see what you got.

The Kingpin machines can sometimes fail to award the prize if they respawn too quickly, at least in crowded instances. At least this one is rare.

Was playing slots and now anything interactable slots mic stands dance floor now has no effect though I still get the hand icon to click them just nothing occurs when I do. Also seems to apply elsewhere can’t use the fleet speeder either. Okay nevermind IT 101 fixed the issue for me. First tried logging out then back no joy. Swapped instances as well as porting fleet and back didn’t fix anything. Quitting the game entirely and logging back in did however fix my issue. ‘Did Youturn it off then back on again?’ Yes IT guy I did and it WORKED! 😀 Not sure if it was actually the case but the bug may have occurred while hitting multiple while simultaneously accepting a finished crew skill mission though not sure if that was coincidence or a relevant factor. • 4 weeks later...
For the Buy In, Sell out Mission I can't advertise for Artellan Securities and Bugrap Rare metals. I don't have those pamphlets in my inventory and clicking on the item on the mission tracker is just pamphlets for Universal Bonds & Bounty.

You advertise for the three groups by:

* Clicking the microphone which makes you sing.

* Clicking the flashing dance flooring which makes you dance.

* Clicking a gambler and then using the pamphlet button.
