SW:TOR Miniature Form

I play the Star Wars miniature game. So, I do a bit of customizing. I guess this counts as art. May not be the stuff of the Louvre, but it keeps me busy.

Here's a couple of customs:

Kaliyo Djannis

Those customs are awesome! Have you made them playable with card stats? I miss playing the minis game so much, spent so much time and money amassing my collection and the people I played with either moved or are not hard to get a hold of cos of work and so on.

Very cool to see a fellow SWTOR player that loves the minis game. Do you play the tabletop game too? D20 or the West End Games D6?

I wish I still played. I know a LOT of people still do but I am not near them. Being in FL, lead me to another location where it isn't popular (4 hours down the road is a group). As for the playable stats, they haven't appeared on the VSets yet (the fan made "official" sets for GenCon) but I hope so. I know people play the game on Vassal (Vassalenging.org) but I haven't seen that many recently but mostly due to my time frame and most of the players.

I used to play the D20 game when I lived in VA but, again sadly, it's hard to find anyone who plays it here.

I need to take better shots of both Khem Val and Kaliyo.

As for upcoming minis, I am working on a couple. Trying to contemplate Satele Shan and one other (I haven't ran through enough classes to grab my attention for too many other pieces).

I've decided to start going through my mini's collection to pick out ones that look like the characters from the game. Remember i could only use ones that i have lol. If you don't know what the miniatures specified look like, look em up on Google images :) I found ones for.... Powertech (Death Watch Raider) , Jedi Shadow (The Dark Woman) , Jedi Sage (Barris Offee) , Sith Juggernaut (Sith Apprentice) , Aric Jorgen (Clone Trooper Sergeant, magenta armor) Scoundrel ( Rebel Pathfinder) , Jedi sentinel (Kit Fisto, 2 lightsaber variant) , Qysen Fess (Trandoshan Scavenger, PERFECT MATCH, has a vibroblade and everything) , Satele Shan (Jedi Crusader) , Elarna Dorne (501st Clone Trooper) , Mercenary (Cad Bane, who else?) , K'lor'slug (Same, part of D'jerrick set along with Mantellian Savrip, and Gargath World Boss) , R4-DL World Boss (LR-57 Combat Droid, from Clone Wars movie). :) i hope others can provide similar references from miniatures i don't have!

Here are some more:

Gault (Devaronian Bounty Hunter)

Satele Shan (Bastila Shan - possibly modified)

Jedi Consular (Jedi Consular - duh, lol)

Sith Warrior (Dark Jedi - only problem is it has a blaster with its lightsaber)

Sith Lord (Dark Jedi Master)

Darth Malgus - pre-mask (Darth Bane)

Darth Malgus - mask (Dark Malak - modified)

Jedi Guardian (Ulic Qel-Droma)

Xalek (Grievous pre-cyborg - modified)

Low-level Bounty hunter (Human Blaster-for-hire)

Smuggler (Corellian pirate)

Sith Warrior - Hope trailer (Darth Revan)

I won't say anymore so you don't go into overload but yeah, there are lots of these that are perfect for customs.

I will have Sargeant Rusk soon. Need to do some detail work.

My goal is to have most of the companions miniaturized. There are a few that are more or less difficult at my skill level. Thankfully Scorpio has a mini in HorrorClix that is very similar. I think the name is Athena but is copper vs silver.

I have a few blemishes that need to be touched up (Sadly, only seen by the camera and not by my eye).

Great job on the miniatures!

I don't unfortunately have any miniatures to post, but what do you think of these stats? It was something I was fiddling around with before I read this. Let me know if the cost to abilities is balanced or not. If anyone replys and shows interest, I'll make one for the character's shown above here. These stats are for the Sith Emperor. I tried to make him powerful but keep him below the 90 point mark. I know, people will argue that Revan is 89 point but shouldn't this character be more powerful at a lower point rating for his abilities? I don't know, you should give me some feedback if you feel differently.

Master of the Force 2 (May spend Force points up to 2 times in a single turn.)

Force 6

Force Renewal 1

Damage Reduction 10 (Whenever this character takes damage, reduce the damage dealt by 10.)

Master of the Force 2 (May spend Force points up to 2 times in a single turn.)

Sith Sorcery (Force 2, usable only on this character’s turn: Enemy characters within 6 squares are considered activated this round; save 11.)

Sith Hunger (Force 1, replaces attacks, range 6: 20 damage to target living enemy and remove 20 damage from this character. If the target has any Force points remaining, remove one and this character gains one Force point.)

Sith Lightning 30 (Force 2; replaces attacks; range 6. 30 Damage to 1 target enemy.)

Well, you should check out the V-Sets on Swmgamers.com where the game is being continued for some guidance. The original Revan was too expensive for what he did so they made a 69 pt Revan that is quite enjoyable.

As for Darth Vitiate, here's my feedback.

He is too expensive. For what he has, he would be 45-55 pts. I would suggest:

ATK 12

Melee, Twin attack

Doctrine of Fear: enemies within 6 are at -4 attack

Force Powers

Force 2, Force Renewal 2-this would put him at 60 pts alone.

Sith Sorcery: Force 2, usable only on this character's turn: Enemy characters within 6 squares are considered activated this round; save 11

Force Storm 3: Force 3, replaces attacks: 30 damage to all characters within 2 squares.

Illusion Force 1: When hit by an attack, this character takes no damage unless the attacker makes a save of 11

Commander effect:

Allies with "Children of the Emperor" special ability may spend this character's force points instead of their own and gain Recon (because he could see through their eyes).

Followers within 6 squares gain Vitiate's Bodyguard (Whenever a character named Darth Vitiate takes damage from an attack, this adjacent character takes the damage instead.)

These are WONDERFUL!

I love seeing the passion people bring to miniatures. I have been playing the West End Miniatures rules since 1991, with a huge collection of the old metal and the plastic figures, and those rules are still my favorite.

I run a "Battle of Hoth" event at some conventions in 1-to-1 scale, so you can see my commitment... or maybe I should just be committed...! :)

I would love to see someone do some 3D printing of the character and capital ships form SWTOR for use in fleet scale minis gaming, too. If I ever find anyone who does, I will post it here!

Keep gaming!
