  1. Or they could have given the in game npc models as one option to go with all the others we have
  2. Honestly, because immortal juggs are easily the best tanks while dps juggs basically suck and there's little to no point running tank gear in PvP. You want good warrior dps? Roll a fury mara. You really want to jugg dps in PvP? Go vengeance and hope everyone just happens to group up.
  3. I mean I even prefaced my statement with it being my opinion. I suppose I should have added a "in my opinion for a levelling/casual player". But I won't be able to give my opinion here much longer so it's moot anyway. To answer your question, yes, and I too have serious doubts the OP was referencing NiM.
  4. Prefacing this with an "this is my opinion" Defense/immortal - tank, a very good one Vigi/vengeance - you indicated you already play, my personal favorite Focus/rage - fun, but sorta pointless since concentration/fury exists Watchman/Anni - more traditional dot spec than vigi/vengeance. Does good damage but definitely has a ramp up time Combat/carnage - fun but sorta pointless since concentration exists Concentration/fury - fun, easy to pick up, good immunity, all things being equal, this would be the spec I recommended. But I like guardians better so my main is defense guardians that spend more time in vigi these days because tanking is basically pointless outside of ops/MM FPs. And even there you can occasionally get away without a tank. TLDR: concentration/fury
  5. sin for stealth and cheese, jugg for everything else. For solo play, it literally doesn't matter and you'd be better off playing a dps anything to kill stuff faster anyway. There's barely a reason to play a tank in a group any more, I literally can't think of a reason to bring a tank spec to solo play.
  6. I've reached a conclusion that BW doesn't really care about casual endgame hard stop. They seem to care about a couple types of players: ranked/NiMers and the super casual, here for story and space barbie solo players. Anyone in the middle isn't important for whatever reason, as you laid out in the quote.
  7. It's yet another attempt to entertain us by providing a new reason to do years old content that they can't even be bothered to scale properly. Worst of both worlds. At this point, I'm not even sure aryn leneer will be enough to bring me back, much less keep me subscribed between the end of my current time and whenever 6.3 is actually launched. And I was very excited about the aryn leneer tease. But more than anything we need a max level endgame, BW. Nkt one op and a couple FPs.
  8. Yeah somehow I used to be that way too. Then the content dearths in conjunction with PvP changes resulted in my friends quitting the game until I'm the only one left with an active sub. For the last few days I have left to make a decision anyway. Hint: more rehashing of old stuff that isn't even kept current any more isn't going to do much to encourage my friends to come back. Like if they're going to triple down on decade old content as endgame, couldn't they at least be bothered to make it max level?
  9. So CQ was no longer enough to keep people engaged in decade old content, eh?
  10. So make new or use more alts. No need for tbe rest of us to suffer. I'd rather have something to do that I havent done hundreds of times over.
  11. Again, I'm not giving an opinion here. I would also point out that many key abilities (i.e. guard and taunt) work wildly different I PvP and PvE. So it's possible. They could also bring back PvP gear to differentiate. There have been many ideas on this subject, discussed many times, to the point where the issue is getting old. Now giving an opinion, mine is that they don't want to force a gearing method on someone because they're in the delusional frame of mind that there is somehow a playstyle or preference factor in gearing rather than a true BiS. I also think that any tank damage "nerfs" through gear or otherwise should be compensated for by increasing support or mitigation especially for PT and Sin tanks. Any discussion on OMG tanks OP is about guardian tanks since 6.0. Maybe sins need the DR on force speed back, idk, I don't sin tank in pvp and never have. I've been a guardian tank main and guardian dps secondary in this game since 1.x. I would also add that any nerfs to guardian tanks must not he construed to affect dps guardians who are not OP in the slightest (id argue, in fact, that dps guardians being so bad is partly responsible for the opinion that skank guardians are so good - if you went from say vigi to skank, duh your survivability just improved ten fold or more.)
  12. Maybe they could work on making fun things to do rather than making it harder to grind things we've been doing for a decade. Just a thought.
  13. I could be wrong but I think the point he was trying to make was to make tanking dependant on mitigation gear; not make dps squishier. Not providing my opinion. Just attempting to clarify what I think was being said.
  14. I think a large part of the reason getting a group for an 8 man op takes forever is because there's no benefit to doing them over TC or queen, they just take longer. Thus, I strive to incentivize doing an 8 man raid, while minimizing the impact on TC farming. This is why I don't want TC nerfed. I don't see it impacting the op queue time because, as you noted, very few people queue for ops anyway. Groups form via gen chat in fleet. This is very different than FPs, which primarily form via the queue.
  15. My suggestion for ops on the #23 was to have two separate queues. One for the single boss ops and one for the 8 man op of the day. Make a cq objective for the 8 man op of the day just like the one for the one boss ops, but worth more points. Then both versions should have a healthy queue. Unfortunately, this suggestion has been ignored by the community and BW every time I've brought it up, even when I made my own thread on casual endgame issues, so I seem to be the only person who cares. I do feel my solution solves the problem of people wanting to do the 8 man op of the day while not hurting the single boss ops. On FPs, hammer spammers are generally forgoing the bonus to just have a fast easy run, so I dont see it as an issue. But the single biggest issue in endgame is the fact 99% of it is downscaled.
