  1. I empathize with the frustration engendered by encountering immediate inconveniences upon resuming engagement with the game following a prolonged hiatus. The prevalence of inactive guilds over the years underscores the necessity for mechanisms to address ownership transitions in such scenarios. While I concur with the notion of facilitating a transfer of guild leadership after a prolonged absence, I would prefer a more nuanced approach. Rather than automating this process, individuals should be required to initiate contact with customer support to report prolonged absence of the guild leader. This would afford greater agency to players, particularly those belonging to smaller, closely knit guilds, mitigating the risk of inadvertent transfer of ownership to dormant accounts. It is not likely that this system will change, but I will nevertheless share my thoughts. In recognition of the challenges posed by this situation, I extend an offer of assistance in giving you any lost credits or cosmetics, with the aim of alleviating the adverse effects and facilitating a smoother reintegration into the game. Just send me a message! Welcome back to SWTOR May the force be with you
  2. Absolutely agreed. I would really like to see a Matte Black/Matte Black dye introduced alongside its metallic counterpart.
  3. Hi there! I trust my recent response to a similar post on page 6/6 has provided clarity to your inquiry, though I feel compelled to extend the discourse with added depth. Drawing a parallel to the movement within the conquest forums in early 2021, where measures were enacted to mitigate exploitation through the introduction of pending status for new members and the revision of certain repetitive objectives. Many of the players who commented on that post were new to the forums. That moment served as an introduction to the forums for many, redirecting discussions from fleet chat or Reddit to the appropriate platform for engaging with developers. The journey to raise awareness regarding a seemingly simple armor set has evolved into a concerted effort, involving extensive dialogues with the community of SWTOR on fleet, various guilds, and members of the main SWTOR Discord server, both seasoned and novice players. It has become evident that many were previously unaware of the forum’s role as a conduit for effecting change. Although our initial post garnered developer attention early on, evidenced by the acquisition of a developer tag around the time we had a mere 20 replies, I have nevertheless continued to spread the message within reason to accumulate more players seeking to adorn themselves with this coveted set and other ephemeral cosmetics yet to grace the galaxy. Your active engagement within this discourse is sincerely appreciated, enriching our collective understanding with insights that may have eluded my purview. Thank you for your continued contributions. May the force be with you
  4. Hi there! I made a similar reply and feel bad for copy pasting as to not want to spam the same message. However, it explains your question very well. “It is essential to note that participation in the forums requires subscription status. I have taken the initiative to share the link to this post across platforms like Discord, particularly on the primary SWTOR server, to raise awareness in addition to guilds and other players on fleet. It’s heartening to witness considerable agreement among many individuals. While it may be an individual's first time on the forums as a new forums user, this does not mean they are a new SWTOR player as my own forums account was made after having played for quite some time. However, I urge caution against levying accusations without a full understanding of the forum’s operational protocols. Such actions not only diminish the integrity of the post but also undermine the voices of the players in agreement. Let us uphold a respectful discourse and ensure that all perspectives are duly considered.” Of course I’m going to like their messages! To post a negative reaction to something I agree with would not only be counterintuitive, but inimical to our own goals. Thank you for your comment
  5. Hello, I really enjoyed reading your comment as it perfectly captured what this forums post is all about. As a fellow longtime player, I wholeheartedly echo your sentiments. The beauty of MMOs lies in their capacity for self-expression and creativity, and the inclusion of cosmetics enhances this experience exponentially. I, too, have invested countless hours in collecting cosmetics and other unique items throughout my journey in the Star Wars: The Old Republic. Over the years, it was always disheartening to see exclusive sets or items become inaccessible to those who missed out on previous opportunities. Reimplementing such content would not only bring joy to dedicated players like us, but also foster a sense of inclusivity within the community as we are all here working together to see the Force-Vereran armor set return in the next update. Indeed, gestures of goodwill from game companies, such as reintroducing limited-time cosmetics, are pivotal in strengthening the bond between players and developers. These gestures demonstrate a genuine appreciation for the player base and elevate the gaming experience beyond mere monetary transactions. Thank you so much for your comment.
  6. Welcome back to SWTOR! Finding the perfect set that not only complements your build but also resonates with your personal style is crucial in enhancing the overall gaming experience. In MMOs like SWTOR, where customization is a significant aspect of character development, style becomes an integral part of player identity. After all, our avatars in the game are extensions of ourselves, and expressing our unique style adds another layer of immersion and enjoyment to the gameplay. I can understand the difficulty in finding that perfect set for you. For me, it was the resourceful renegade chest piece as I found it to be one of the few really nice sleek no nonsense cloaked armor sets in the game alongside this armor, the Force-Veteran set, that this post revolves around. Here’s to advocating for its return alongside more incredible cosmetics. Thank you for your comment
  7. Hey there, It is essential to note that participation in the forums requires subscription status. 8. I completely agree with your sentiment. It's disheartening to see valuable cosmetics lost to time, especially in a universe as rich and expansive as Star Wars. Introducing past armor sets such as the Force Veteran armor set, even if through a purchasing mechanism like the cartel market also allow fans to continue fiscally supporting the game developers. Hopefully, in the next update 7.5, they will include this set on the market.
  9. Thank you for commenting and sharing your thoughts! I completely agree that reintroducing old armor sets, especially from KOTOR/KOTOR2, would add depth and excitement to the game. A dedicated KOTOR-themed event sounds like a fantastic idea that could truly immerse players in the lore. Your suggestions are spot-on and would definitely enhance the overall experience for all players.
  10. The disclosure regarding the availability of these promotional items through the Galactic Seasons vendor or the Cartel Market is indeed significant, revealing a reality where concerns about devaluation hold less weight. The precedent set by the accessibility of ranked PVP cosmetics to the wider player base has already altered the landscape of exclusivity within the game. Personally, my perspective aligns with a broader ethos of inclusivity, where the enjoyment of all cosmetics, whether easily obtained or acquired through rigorous effort, is paramount. Rather than lamenting the perceived loss of uniqueness associated with previously exclusive items when I had the once exclusive ranked PvP Resourceful Renegade set, my inclination was to celebrate it’s newfound accessibility to all players, both veteran and novice alike. Therefore, while I acknowledge the principle of safeguarding the value of promotional items, its application appears inconsistent in light of past concessions such as Nico being available for a few seasonal token now. I have my own fair share of promotional items like the Special Forces set obtained through the BF2 promotion. As a owner of the set, I appreciate its aesthetic appeal and would welcome its availability to a wider audience without any reservations or sense of entitlement. Ultimately, fostering an environment where every player can enjoy such unique offerings only serves to enrich the collective experience of the community.
  11. I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment. The allure of such visually striking content undoubtedly enhances the immersion and enjoyment of gameplay. Reintroducing it would not only delight existing players but also attract new ones, adding depth and richness to the SWTOR experience. Your appreciation for the aesthetic value of the set echoes the sentiments of many in the community, and I believe its return would be met with enthusiasm and gratitude.
  12. As a fellow player, I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments. It would be fantastic to have promotional items readily available on the Cartel Market such as the Force Veteran armor set, along with more extensive customization options such as sliders for body and face adjustments, and a wider range of default hairstyles. Your suggestions align with what many in the community are hoping for, and I believe implementing these features would greatly enrich the gameplay experience for all players.
  13. That's wonderful to hear that you've returned to the game after such a long break, especially with the encouragement of your sons! It's clear that the desire to bring back currently unavailable armor sets resonates strongly with many players. The sentiment of wanting to obtain sets that were missed during past periods of play, or ones that have since become coveted, is understandable and shared by many in the community. You make a compelling argument we all agree with for reintroducing these sets, even if only on a temporary basis throughout the year. The idea of offering players the opportunity to acquire sought-after looks, whether they missed them previously or have recently become interested in them, is indeed a win-win situation. Not only does it cater to the desires of both new and returning players, but it also revitalizes the game's customization aspect and keeps characters feeling fresh and exciting. Your perspective highlights the importance of player satisfaction and enjoyment, as well as the potential benefits of periodically reintroducing exclusive sets to the game. It's evident that this approach could enhance the overall player experience and contribute positively to the game's longevity and appeal.
  14. You articulated your point quite well and I completely agree with your perspective. Not just this set, but all of them contribute significantly to the game's longevity and the enjoyment of players who take pride in customizing their characters' appearances, affectionately known as "space barbies." Many people joke on fleet how, “fashion is endgame.” At the end of the day, people want their Star Wars character to look their best to what they feel suits them. Introducing discontinued armor sets back into the game not only allows players to maintain a sense of freshness and uniqueness in their character appearances but also adds depth to the game's customization options. Furthermore, creating a new vendor on the fleet dedicated to selling these sets would streamline access for players and enhance their overall gaming experience, but even just adding them to the seasonal vendor wouldn’t be a bad idea. For example, the mount that came along with this very same giveaway can be purchased from the seasonal tokens, so why not the armor set? I’d go as far as paying cartel coins for it. There is a helmet similar to it, yet it has very bulky additions that make it aesthetically unpleasant which is why I rarely see people wear it and why we need the original returned along with any other limited time sets. While new armor sets are undoubtedly exciting, the appeal of unique and discontinued sets should not be underestimated. They hold sentimental value and offer a nostalgic connection to past content. By reintroducing these sets, SWTOR can cater to the desires of its diverse player base and ensure continued engagement and satisfaction within the game.
  15. Bringing back the armor set would indeed offer players more options and enhance their overall experience. Additionally, increasing player goodwill through such actions can have positive ripple effects, potentially leading to increased revenue for the company as satisfied players are more likely to spread the word about the game. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this matter!
