  1. Yes!!!!! Sorry, I didn't check the date on this thread before I started posting. I love the SP options that have come out. Thank you for listening to the people
  2. Ooooo, yes, I agree with the OP and Mr Boyd. This also goes along the line of my own character's backstory. Great RP opportunities indeed.
  3. I find this to be quite acceptable. Thank you for your honesty.
  4. I understand what you are saying now. I however do not think this is the thread for the issue. This is for people who have a colorblind disability, not for folks having an issue with some of the graphic changes. I believe there is a proper thread for that which may get better results.
  5. I am unclear what you are referring to. This thread is for color blind issues. If you are having other game accessible issues you should seek out a thread specific to your need or start one if none exist. If your issue is colorblindness, then let's continue to discuss. What has helped my husband may not have helped everyone. What are you still having struggles with? Let's be specific and constructive.
  6. SWTOR and everyone that makes things happen, I just want to say thank you for some of the graphic changes that have been happening! Hubby can see the AOE stuff now due to the moving ring around the effect. Today had him log in real quick to check some things out and sure enough, it was a huge improvement! The mission boxes and consoles are flashing, there seems to be a difference in coloring on the fleet, (well, Imp side. We haven't checked pub side ) and even the mailbox flashes when he hovers over it. Some of the outlines seem to be harder, there are circles around team members on the map, and I don't remember the triangle icon thingies flashing before either. I am so grateful and so is my husband. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Not to sound too mushy, but you folks are just awesome and thank you just doesn't seem to express it enough.
  7. We have an idea in the works!! Let's keep hoping! Let's not forget the changes SWTOR has made to the game already. The colored doors now have a pattern on them. Red door has a different pattern from the green door. The items are now labeled as to what level they are, not just color coded. I am grateful for these changes. Let's keep moving forward to find an overlay solution.
  8. It was through customer service that I was encouraged to post my situation in this thread. Let's keep this moving forward with what can be done now. Please post if you have ideas or helpful suggestions. My husband and many others only benefit from workable solutions.
  9. I would love it if we could do this!! To my knowledge, this does not exist for SWTOR.
  10. Hello all. I know it's been 2yrs since the last post, but I am hoping that the squeaky wheel will get the grease. My husband recently decided to try playing SWTOR with me. He walked away once, but thought he would try again. He is disabled and this game falls short of addressing his disability. Like so many others in this thread, his disability is colorblindness. While it is NOT physically disabling it is a concern in his quality of life. My husband sees the reds and oranges quite well, but blues and greens are beyond him. This game relies on the blue/green/purple colors for almost everything. Even a simple thing like reading the map, whether the mini map or the big one, causes him eyestrain and headaches making the game a chore. I am here to appeal to the community. Bioware has not been able to come up with a solution yet, so I was encouraged to seek out help in the community. I know many of you are intelligent, skilled, techie people. I can turn on a computer and point and click Please let me hear your ideas. Please help me come up with an option for those who are afflicted and unable to enjoy this incredible game. I ask that you keep the posts positive. Let's come together and try to find a solution so that EVERYONE can truly enjoy gaming. Thank you, Gem
  11. This is a good point. Something else I don't think people realize is that this affects the players as well. I bought the Nathema outfit. Now mine still works, but if it had bugged, I would have been upset. When I buy something, real or digital, I expect it to work. When people are opening packs and they get something good, they sometimes sell them on the GTN. If the general population had access to a high ticket item for free, like the saber, then who would buy it from the GTN? Once again, the players who sell on the GTN would be financially hurt. I understand folks being upset abut old bugs not being fixed. I just think we need to remember that fixes like the new one aren't always just for BW's sake.
  12. Well, here we are, 2016 and I just found this thread. I totally agree! I play my toon with the same personality I am in real life. I would never marry a man after he tried to kill me. Pierce is a wonderful option. I agree that it seems like there are not really any choices for the female characters. It's like we get one per class. To date, my favorite romancing companion is Torian. He's supportive, but has my back at the same time. He's strong, takes the lead, but isn't bossy or controlling. Lt Pierce could be that as well, if they would allow him to be a lifetime choice and not a one night flirt.
  13. Right! That's what phalczen had said. Folks like casirabit and myself that hadn't planned to pvp or that are now interested in it need folks like you and phalczen and the other nice ones I found in game to tell us or update the threads and guides. Most of what I found was posted in 2014 and stuff has chnaged. Also, some of us just don't understand when we are reading through all of that. I am relatively new to MMOs. My brain takes a little longer to read through and apply stuff. BUT once I've got it, I've got it. I will say, I did try a crystal in my pistol before I had the replies here and a warning came up. I didn't understand why, at first, but now I do. Bought a pvp one and warning went away. I think the main thing is for the few who forget what it was like to be the new guy, just chill. We are not here to ruin your life and I don't thin a few PVPs will kill you. We are all doing our best.
