  1. Honestly not going to read the rest of your post. How is that delusional you say? Considering one of the MAJOR reasons people *****ed and moaned since 4.0 was a lack of content you seem to think having even less would be better? I get that you are kind of new around here (because I don't really recall you being much a part of this forum community before this year) so probably haven't really been around enough to understand what the long term issues people have this game are. Still, no excuse for illogical concepts like that.
  2. My belief is a **** ton of money went into KoTFE and KoTeT that didn't get the return promised to EA. Thus here we are ... I solely blame the people at BWA who thought those were "good ideas" for a story and that's before we even touch on some of the rather silly game play changes (though there were some good touches too, just not really so much in 5.0 cycle). It's sort of easy to see EA not wanting to invest in an old product that failed to make a promised return and it's bloody Star Wars, they see the other Star Wars games making money hand over fist and wonder how can the only Star Wars MMO not meet their goals? I think there were/are some talented people at BWA as far as this game goes but the management and direction let them down, the majority of decisions are down right face meet keyboard in their ineptitude. I think Keith has a raw deal taking over at a time when the damage is done and it's hard to get the money back from EA for future development after his predecessors effecitvely ****ed it for him. I also there are a couple of people left that are still part of the group that did such damage that he has no control over nor ability to get rid of (this is in regards to story direction and class balance) and that's still hurting the game. I won't name names because this is all purely my personal theory and it wouldn't be fair to do so if I'm outright wrong which I could easily be. Now in saying all that ... I still get value for money from the game and have fun doing what I do thus I still pay for it. I hope to see more in the future and I hope this down cycle is for regearing for another up cycle but if taht doesn't happen and we do enter a maintenance mode then so be it. I'll critique where necessary and stop playing/paying if I feel then need be. I just hope I don't turn into one of those people like many in threads like this who will just ***** and moan for any reason what so ever, often not making sense, that just leaves me scratching my head wondering ... why the hell are these people still here? Oh yeah, trolling is worth the money, they just don't realize what they are doing is trolling.
  3. The MAJORITY opinion is "yay we're having too much fun playing the game and living life to ***** and moan on the forums", the MINORITY opinion is what you read on the forums. Ignore it and enjoy the game, there is soooo much out there for you yet to do.
  4. Lol owned. Seriously why make nonsense statements that are completely wrong and that you are too lazy to look for yourself. GG though.
  5. Seems then you need a sizeable break and it's over due, it's almost inevitable to end up in your state regardless of what happens in game (no MMO can produce content fast enough and for long enough to keep day 1 players happy forever). I recall just about every WoW player I've ever spoken to telling me how that game was on it's way out (and this was years ago) for the same reasons, they just stuck at it too long. Many would go back 1-2 years later and find new invigoration for another year before it became stale again. Everything that made this game is still there imo it's just that many people have done it all so much it's not fun anymore for them. This is why a lot of the criticism and feedback I read seems to mostly be self inflicted from jaded players who could just not bring themselves to take a break. What is worse is if you stick at it for sooo long and do the same thing over and over again it makes it even harder to ever return. I've always taken breaks in the size of many months and even when back it's still a break in the sense I'm just doing GTN stuff and not content. Then I get the vibe to do another class story and get stuck back into some raids on the new toon etc. and I really enjoy it again ... until I don't. Then I rinse and repeat and that's that for another break from gameplay.
  6. And the new players having a great time. You know you've done a failure of a job of providing false metrics when you can't even pick up on what is probably biggest subset of players right now. Curiously which group do you find yourself in from your list? Guessing it will be die hard fan because can you actually admit to being a sucker? Admitting to a troll just wouldn't make it trolling.
  7. Out of curiosity why unsub now over a balance change you've not even tried? Who knows if they are nerfing content in line with class nerfs (probably not but you never know)? I just find it funny all the criticism etc. over "this won't work and it's going to be this hard and this will be impossible" before people have even given it a go. Also how long have you played this game for out of curiosity?
  8. Sooo an article about a game dieing that didn't die ... sort of like these threads or about a poster unsubscribing that never unsubscribes ... See what I did there?
  9. OMG, I didn't know you had an alt account TUXs!
  10. Nothing happened to it per se more than a reduced budget over time which is to be expected when EA is your big brother - that company reminds me of ADHD. Smaller budget means less new content. The negativity you see around is because that's what forums generally are - places for people to ***** and moan. The majority doing so post the same **** in the same type of threads and seems to do so because they are bored of the game after years of playing and refuse to take a break or go do something else so instead they come up with conspiracy theories about how the devs are actually trying to kill the game (honestly that's about the stupidest concept I've heard on these forums but there we have it) and more ************ and moaning. If you are new (or even only newish) there is literally 100's of hours of content so enjoy so have at it and have fun, don't let the curmudgeons get you down. They've become so vocal lately it's becoming difficult to even separate out the legitimate complaints and discussion from the over the top negativity.
  11. If you view everything we've had new as negative as the OP did then sure but then it's pretty foolish to have that sort of view and still be subbed and playing. "I hate all this new stuff, it sucks, I'm going to keep doing it anyway though because I love punishing myself!" Topics like this ... only worth the lols.
  12. It's not. People pay the price then that's the price. Based on your previous post the problem is how you make your credits, not the price. That's your choice though but feel free to make more false statements.
  13. As long as there is A profit to be made from buying the mats I just buy them. Even if it's just 50K, if you crafting with maxed out rep then the crits will mean a good, in my case, 700K profit each crit. You can run %'s based on crit rate, how many toons you are using etc. to calculate returns too. Diversify also because not everything will sell super fast which is why I would always move all my toons to harvest purple mats from the more popular crafting areas (e.g. treasure hunting) when my inventory wasn't moving as fast (no point in just crafting an d building it faster than you can sell it - mats will sell in stacks). Oh yeah as mentioned don't forget prefabs and decos, those stack which is a blessing for crafting sales. Once you get a good credit base with crew skills start investing in CM items, either by opening packs yourself that you buy with credits (horde the items to after they embargo they will grow in value over time) or look for items that are likely to sell well and buy them when they are cheap. This is hard of course without knowing the market but you just learn as you go, I did mostly from having items from packs that I would have to sell and got an idea of my lowest sell points etc. Also my armor crate into individual items tip above can make obscene credits. Example - 3 x apex sovereign lower bought for ~1.5 million each, just sold the 3 boots from these alone for 10 million each over the past 2 weeks. Over 25 million profit. Market knowledge though ... can't be taught really without basically taking on an apprentice of sorts, has to be learned though experience.
  14. Yup that would be true except I've been giving these tips out on these forums (along with the "buy armors sets or crates e.g. supplementary, open those, sell the contents, profit big time) for a long time now and they've never changed. Still cash cows, I'm sure a few people give it a go but generally people are lazy and/or hate change. They would rather go about their daily heroic running routine and ***** and moan on the forums about how unfair the economy is to them ... go figure If I were at all worried about everyone doing it - would I be posting good, easy ways to make credits also? Hmmm, not worried in the slightest. If per chance someone tries these sort of ideas though let us know how you get on, what your issues are, where you need help etc. etc. - I doubt anyone will though - refer comment on lazy/hating change.
  15. Gee you couldn't even get that right and yet had the nerve to critique BWA over some of their technical prowess previously - pot officially meet kettle. I'm sure you'll blame BWA for moving your goals posts or something though
