  1. Actually yes it is. You lost around, what , maximum of 10 hours? Say you lost 18 hours. You do realize they're giving you 24 hours of gameplay free, right? Compensation does not mean it will be greater, it means it will be equitable to what you lost.
  2. To those of you whining that those of us without a lvl 50 toon are upset about the money, well no that's not the case A loyalty program is for people who have stayed with the company involved for long periods of time. Everquest has a loyalty program that rewards it's players, not on level, but on how long they've been with the game, and its' a nice reward program as well. It's a shame Bioware and EA don't show that same respect, especially for those of us who were here from the start, who pre-ordered their games, and who have payed the fees and remained with them throughout all the turmoil of the startup. Sadly I don't think folks realize that this is not giving a special item to someone as an ACHIEVEMENT for reaching 50. No one could argue about that. What this is is saying your'e loyal because you reached lvl 50, not because you have stood by the company throughout all the chaos and the grief, but because you got to 50. That's what's so bad about this. In my opinion, they can keep their free month. Apparently my being here from the start means squat to them in regards to loyalty
  3. 1) They have a full time job that takes more than the average 40 hrs/week 2) They have children and devote more of their time to the children than they do the game 3) They go to school full time and spend their time working on their education more than they do the game 4) Any combination of the above, as is my case (have kids, going to school, and work 50+ hrs/week)
  4. I think it's wrong that Bioware's giving 30 days of gametime to anyone with a lvl 50 player, and then says that's for their loyalty. Loyalty is determined by how long you stay with a company, not at how high a level character you have. This should be done as whoever has been in the game the longest, in other words, if you've been here since startup, or you pre-ordered the game, or you've been here since January 2012, etc. Instead, you grant people who have a level 50 the extra time. Great way to treat casual players who have been here with you since the start.
  5. I'm thrilled with the game. Offers a nice change from the fantasy MMOs out there, and the few SciFi MMOs (which are, what Eve and AO?). Will continue with the game, and be patient about the updates and patches.
  6. Someone needs some serious anger management help
  7. I think the only fail thing is on the part of the players. They expected, based on the wording, to be immediate access. Problem is they didn't read the words. If they had, they'd have realized it said UP TO 5 days. That implies it's not necessarily 5 days. I think the biggest fail with EA/Bioware (whoever is doing the launch) is the lack of a Dev only post that says what the update is. Instead they put one in where everyone can post on it, and you have to go through dozens of posts to see an update. And even then, that's not really a fail, just poor planning on the part of the poster
  8. Oh God I remember that.....and Burning Crusade....and Wrath of the Lich King....and Cataclysm........ Nightmare of nightmares. Took me only 2 hours to get in game on launch day, but took me 2 days to get in for BC
  9. I agree completely. But you've gotta love the nerd rage comments. Just too funny to deal with.
  10. 1) Got to get up, get read email, realize wasn't getting in first few waves, get shower & get ready to go to the Theme Parks in Orlando 2) Realized car wouldn't start & had it towed to dealer for repair 3) Just got news from dealer that car will be down for 3 days while they wait for part to be sent over 4) Got estimate for repair, which made me smile as is covered by extended warrenty, so only $150 instead of $1200 5) Got to watch severe nerd rage on SWTOR forums while waiting on rental car to arrive
  11. My guess is there will be four (although that would disappoint me that they only did four) and that it will start again @ the same time tomorrow. It is possible though that, due to the response, they will add a few more waves later in the day to compensate. Don't know, but I do care. If they put too many people into it, will reduce the whining and I won't be able to enjoy the nerd rage comments
  12. They re-tweeted, it's not over. The Old Republic @SWTOR Don't worry, there are still more invites coming today! We will announce when the next wave is sent.
  13. How about someone @ Bioware posting a thread where you update the current wave that you CAN'T post in? The one you have now is ridiculous. Everyone and their mother is posting there, and some of these guys are about to have a stroke over it. So do the medics a favor today, please post a thread that the general populace can't post in and we can actually do something constructive like, oh, read it in just a few seconds w/o going through thousands of pages?
  14. No they did not. Some of us (who were supposed to be at the theme parks, but who's car is now being towed to a garage.......) paid for Collector's editions, some paid for Digital Deluxe, etc etc. I paid for the CE version, and I'm patiently awaiting my turn (registered on 7/24). When I get it, I get it. In the mean time, since I won't be riding roller coasters (but will be riding one hell of a repair bill ). I"m enjoying the comedy
