  1. New Forum? Will it be possible to write even when the subscrption has run out? Because not beeing able to do that is the most annoying thing about the current forum.
  2. Feels bad man. Clearing waves is painfully slow. The class feels extremely fraggy against multiple enemys. Lv77 scoundrel vs maro, same gear, same flashpoint, my maro throws 60k crits, my scoundrel does 20k tops. The scatter shotgun does like 2k damage (might aswell throw the skill out of my quickbar.), grenade does like 9k damage. Thoses values are not nearly where they should be. Killing silver rank mob groups takes an eternity. Best option would be leveling with the second combat style choice.
  3. Zayne Carric storyline, 50 comics á 12-14 pages each, produced by Darkhorse comics. The printware may be rare collectors items nowadays, but I guess there may be scans out there in the internet somewhere. So either you can buy them if you find a seller (+100 light side points) or look for scans (+50 dark side points). It's still copyrighted material, but since Darkhorse has been bought up and is not making any money with these, there is basically nobody who cares. Then again, promoting the few comic stores that still exist would be a good thing. Or maybe you just read the wiki entry and be done with it. Altho, for anyone who is actually interested in the old republic storyline, Zayne Carric belongs to the essential lore.
  4. With "some" beeing me, yes Rivix is a Zeltron. If you can get your hands on the Zayne Carric comics, I highly suggest you do so.
  5. By the words of Kreia to Aton Rand: the force is the greatest strength of the jedi (and sith) but also their greatest weakness, as they rely on it so much that they are blind without it. Even a lowlife criminal (like Aton) is superior to Jedi and Sith and that regard. Non-force users have to put in hard work in order to survive in a galaxy stacked against them, and the ones that do survive will have their skills honed to a level that should not be underestimated by any force user. Words that are reflected by what Satele Shan and the players character (can) say to Tenebrae in the last standoff against him. Power bears arrogance, arrogance bears blindness. Darth Jadus may not draw out all of his power in the battle against the agent, most likely due to said arrogance he underestimates non-force users. A mistake that can be lethal for any member of the sith council as Theron Shan once proved when he killed a member of the sith council. (in the comics about Master Zho) The council members on Corellia most likely paid that price for underestimating the rep non-force player characters. Power and deception can get people into the sith council, but: "power without wisdom is worthless" and for that reason, most sith don't really seem to stay members of the concil for long. The ones who do are the big names like Darth Marr. So yeah, a smuggler smacking 3 council members is perfectly fine. If they can't win, they don't deserve their chairs anyways. The sith have no tolerance for weakness.
  6. I can't view it because the website is bugged and tells me I have no auth to view the page, so I can't read your story.
  7. I only need 500 reputation for the middle title, 16 more Syndicate stuff to find, but I have no clue where it (still) drops. Any help would be welcome.
  8. Mastery (before it was one of the 4 class-stats) Never made any sense. verdict: Should be removed completely. Attack power Flat damage buff. verdict: Basic RPG stuff, it's fine. Crit A chance for more damage. verdict: Basic RPG stuff, it's fine. Accuracy Increases your hitchance. Counteracts against mobs/boss evasion pve. Counteracts agains players defense-stat in pvp. (same thing) Unique to SWTOR - do we really need this stat in an MMORPG? Other games solve accuracy/evasion ("defense" in swtor) via buffs/debuffs, swtor uses 2 scounteracting stats. Guess since it has always been part of the game, but it sucks to have to "waste" stats by having to use accuracy mods in order to hit boss mobs in pve because else they evade your attacks. In other MMORPGs, you can just slash away at the boss mob. verdict: This stat can be removed if evasion chance gets removed from pve bosses in return. Alacricy Increases the speed of casting, attacking, reduces skill cooldowns and reduces the "global cooldown" Usually used by healers, casters, and single target rotators. verdict: Basic RPG stuff, it's fine. Endurance Flat HP buff. verdict: Basic RPG stuff, it's fine. Defense Basically, evasion chance. An attackers accuracy vs your evasion on a diceroll whether or not the attack hits. Evasion is not uncommon in MMORPGS, but usually found on rouge classes that are squishy damage dealers. In SWTOR, its a tank stat. From the perspective of players of other games, this must be very crazy, to give a tank evasion. Especially when it comes to the next 2 stats below. verdict: Ultimately, it should be kept, but it should be renamed from "defense" to "evasion" and be exclusive to agent and smuggler classes. Shield Chance A chance to absorp a percentage of incoming damage based on the "absorbtion" stat. Nothing to crazy, actually. Some other MMORPGs have this stat aswell on their tank-classes. The crazy and actually "bad game design" part is where it gets redundant when paired with the "defense" stat. Let's say you get attacked 20 times, have 30% "defense", and 50% shield chance with 50% absorb rate. 10 out of 20 hits you take would be damage-reduced by 50% absorb, usually. This gets reduced because 6 out of the 20 attacks will never hit you in the first place, because the defense check rolls first, and then the 14 attacks that made it through will go through the shield chance check. With 50% shield chance thats 7 attacks that get shielded, which compared to the 10 attacks above, is a 30% efficiency loss due to stat redundancy. verdict: It would be okay to keep this stat, but it should be exclusive to soldier and bounty hunter classes, including all roles. The base 5% shield chance should be reworked and fusioned/integreated into power generators. giving healers and dps 15% base shield chance, and tanks 30% base shield chance, with tank specs (shieldtech PT/Vanguard) beeing able to reach a (changed) softcap at around 65% shield Absorbtion Defines how much your damage is reduced on a shield chance proc. Unique to swtor. And another example of "bad game design". It's just not necessary to have 2 sepereate stats. If for dps-classes the "crit" value increases both critical chance and critical damage, then for tank-classes the "shield chance" value should be also increase the absorption value. verdict: Should be merged with "shield chance" Armor Damage reduction stat. Armor class dependend. Basic RPG stuff. However, it does not make sense that non-tank specs can wear heavy armor. verdict: Armor classes should be reworked, so that only tank-specs can wear heavy armor for the additional damage reduction. Assasins/Shadow tank-specs getting a "force armor" passive-skill that treats all armor they wear as heavy armor. Maybe add some unique tactical item that enables heavy armor usage for other specs, just for the sake of giving people more options to customize their playstyle. Elemental damage/ elemental damage reduction Gives certain elemental classes to attacks / damage reduction against attacks of certain elemental attacks. This stuff has always been a mess in swtor. It's unnecessary and just complicates an already bad system. Just give flat damage, that would be best for all. verdict: Should be removed completely. New stat that should exist exclusively for lightsaber users: Saber deflection All force-user classes should get this stat as their defensive stat, instead of "defense" or "shield chance/absorb". It's basically similar to "defense", but using a lightsaber as a defensive item to deflect single target attacks (not AoE attacks), with an additional, but much lower secondary "saber reflection" chance that reflects 100% of the damage of targetet attacks (non-AoE) back to the specific attacker. (taking 0% of the damage yourself, it's basically a "critical evasion") There is already a skill for warriors/knights that does exactly that. Remove it and transform it into this secondary passive-effect of a stat. Tank-specs will have a much higher reflection rate, as Soresu (Form3) users in the star wars universe have a much higher capability to precisely hit back attacks, such as blaster shots, and redirect them exactly at the enemy. TL;DR: -remove "mastery" and remove "attack elements". -remove "accuracy" and remove evasion chance from pve bosses. -completely seperate shield generators and "defense" -merge together "shield chance" and "absorb" into 1 stat and only give this stat to soldiers and bounty hunters -rename "defense" to "evasion" and only give this stat to agents and smugglers -add new stat "saber defense" and only give it to force users -rework armor classes, only let tank-specs wear heavy armor, assasin/shadow tank spec get "force armor" passive Did I forget anything? Oh well I'm sleepy now, and so are you after reading all this. Have a good day! (or night) ((but not both, you must select 1 that will "be good", the other option will just be "normal"))
  9. I like that you can use the companion of your choice at the manaan 7.1 content. (instead of some lv1 weaksauce new-dude with bad stats) It makes a difference and it's good.
  10. The same is true for any kind of CLOAKS / CAPES, actually since years but it has never been fixed. Capes get clipped / distrorted because they get pinned to the END POINT of where the character is walking, not to the character itsself, which leads to "broken" cutscenes where the cloak is filling half of the screen, more or less. Also, they tend to get tangeled around the legs in a weird manner. I like the game phyisics, but this is really where you should turn it off for cloaks and capes.
  11. BTW: Rivix is of the Zeltron race, and not of the pureblood sith race. Zeltrons have the genetic ability to influence the feelings of others. And Rivix certainly has his way with people.
  12. Hello. That is quite a role to take on. I hope you dont mind if I ask this question: what do you think makes you qualified for that job exactly? You are working for fans who follow the story since 2004-ish, who got all old "Legends of the Sith" darkhorse-comics, from Naga Sadow to Freedon Nad, from Exar Kun to Nomi Sunrider, who got all 50 issues of the Zayne Carric comics that goes parallel to Kotor1, who got the SWTOR-prelude comics about Master Zho, the rise of Darth Thanaton and the Corrusant peace treaty. If you are not familiar with these, then can you really consider yourself qualified to do the job? Storys are like towers, you need to build on a solid foundation. If you just stack new things ontop of eachother, they will come crushing down. KOTFE and KOTET were a flop because they made a complete break with the previous story, and by doing so added on tons of plotholes, the lead writers didnt know bantha dung about KOTOR and SWTOR. And then the devs had to run behind, filling in some of the major plotholes bit by bit, but that's not the ideal structure of working (and storytelling). I hope that you are a competent person and a knowledgable fan. I guess only time will tell. Do your best!
  13. It is said that EA has put in some million dollars to produce KOTFE and KOTET. Both sorta flopped. Today, all we get is 3 shabby dialouges, not even some alibi enemys to fight, ontop of kotor-style texts instead of voiceacting, so the devs dont need to pay voiceactors with money that they apparently don't have because it is is busy getting stacked in EAs bank accounts. Oh look it's a Gand going "krkrkrkrkrrkrkkrrkrkrkrkrkrkrkgllglgl" - one hell of a way to save translation costs. Same with the galacting season2 syndicate person just blabbering in whatever huttish voicelines the devs had in their database. No voiceactors, no translators needed, saves production costs. EA doesnt give bioware any more money. (atleast not for SWTOR) the devs are on a short budget and expected to deliver a great product, which is impossible ofc, and the result is 7.0 and 7.1. With the Kotor1 remake beeing put on hold, the chances to get new players interested in SWTOR are postponed untill 2025/2026-ish. TL;DR: Can't really blame the devs for not deliviering if they do not get the ressources that they need.
  14. "You suck." Also, you are new to PvP in this game. A tank and a healer would always be able to stall up to 8 enemy players for a certain amount of time if their skill is high enough and their enemys are just random casuals. This game is 10 years old and that never changed. If they hold you up like that, their healing and cooldown coordination and execution is on the top skill level. When you can't beat them 7vs2, your DPS and CC coordination and execution is on the bottom skill level. It is the expected outcome when 2 ranked veterans (sitting in TS or discord with micro) are having fun with some uncoordinated enemygroup of random casual zerglings.
  15. premise 1: we were promised a story about an old sith cult. premise 2: in the latest cinematic trailer, Darth Malgus seems to have a problem with how Jedi and Sith alike determine who is worthy to be trained in the ways of the force. fact 1: the Trayus cult of Malachor that seemingly got wiped out by Meetra Surik in Kotor2 was trying to destroy the force itself. fact 2: "there always has to be a Darth Traya" fact 3: the Trayus cult was all about deception, stealth, invisible manipulation and avoiding detection even by the most powerful beeings of the galaxy. speculation 1: the Trayus cult of Malachor wasn't completely wiped out, and there always was a next Darth Traya/Trayus, filling the void that Kreia left. speculation 2: the Trayus cult has never been known to emperor Vitiate / Valkorion, neither in Kotor2, nor in Swtor. speculation 3: the Trayus cult is still trying to destroy the force. speculation 4: the Trayus cult somehow recruited or manipulated Darth Malgus. conclusion: we may return to Malachor in the next few story updates.
