  1. Thats the base amount of damage it will do. The tooltip doesnt take into account an enemy's armor or defenses.
  2. I have been playing both. From what I've played, they do differ quite a bit in how they are played. Enough, at least for me, to justify playing both.
  3. You got to level 50 on Jan 1st? You must have played almost nonstop from the first day of early access.
  4. its like I've said from the beginning. You cannot balance the two on the same ruleset. It does not, and will not *ever* work. The only way you can balance class abilities for pve and pvp is to be able to adjust both independently, like they did in EQ2. Thats the only game that I've played so far to ever get it right.
  5. There's really not any right or wrong here. That item would have been good for a couple of his companions, so maybe thats why he wanted it. I doubt it would have went to waste. That being said, its better to lay out loot rules in your groups before the loot drops, less surprises that way. And if people insist on being jerks, well, there are lists for that, just add em to it and dont group with em again.
  6. All I can say is you are doing it wrong. Marauder is one of those types of classes that require the correct abilities to be used in conjunction with one another and sometimes careful timing for the best dmg output. I would suggest playing rage spec at least while you level. That's what I play as, and I havent had any issues at or above your level.
  7. As far as I've seen in game, that's the status quo. Most stun-type abilities dont seem to work on anything other than regulars and sometimes silvers.
  8. After witnessing many of these threads, and doing the datacrons in game for myself, I have come to the inevitable conclusion that the players whining about datacrons are the same people that cant grasp the concept of "dont stand in the fire". Given that, these complaints can be safely swept under the darkest corner of the desk with no further concern.
  9. Dont even really need the appearance tab with modable armor, just need to fix that system for end game. But the textures? oh yea, they need to put those back asap. Its just utterly fing stupid that they removed them as a graphical option. The high res textures were there in beta all the way up until the early access client was released, even during the stress test.
  10. It really wouldnt take much effort to bring modable gear up to par with the end game stuff. And there's no reason it couldnt be done in conjunction with making new content. Neither has to suffer for the sake of the other (unlike my marriage)
  11. You couldn't be more wrong on all counts. The hardcore are the bane of the mmo genre, and always have been. Any developer will tell you that.
  12. Yeah, actually it is. Which is why alot of players in other mmos do just that when they run out of end game content in those games.
  13. SWG ended for a reason. This isnt a sandbox, nor is it going to be.
  14. Meh, even EQ isnt that hard anymore. Not like it was in it's heyday anyhow. I picked it back up for a few months prior to SWTOR's release. Levelling in EQ is ridiculously easy now, at least in comparison to what it used to be.
  15. Yeah, we arent talking old school NES games here, where one mis-timed press of a button could set you all the way back to the beginning of a game, no matter how much time and effort you had put in up to that point. Many of those games had to be "mastered". MMO's are a far, far cry from that level of mastery. I could only imagine the crying and whining you would see on forums if MMOs required that kind of skill to "win" at.
