  1. With the coming of the most recent patch, I'm very concerned with the direction that the game is taking. I like the small changes, like the new Cosmetic Items vendor and changing the opening theme back to Clash of Destiny. Those are great. I even don't mind the ability prune, at least for the Trooper classes. But the big, important things seem to be getting less effort than they need. The UI and character creation screen got a complete overhaul. Why? I liked the old ones. Was anyone complaining about them? This looks like it took a lot of time and effort, but did we really need it? And the story is suffering. I've only played the Republic side of the story, but it feels like it was added as a token, as an afterthought. The stakes don't feel as high as Onslaught, and the new character like Gallo are bland and unlikeable. All the past SWTOR expansions had great dialogue and unforgettable story, but this reads like a first draft of a fanfiction, like not enough time was put into it. Not to mention I had to stop playing and wait a day for them to fix a bug that was preventing me from progressing. Twice. All I can infer is that all the time was spent into making changes the game didn't need and very little time was spent on things the players actually wanted. This makes me very worried for the future going forward. I love this game but I don't like the trend I'm seeing. It makes me nervous about spending any more money on this game. P.S. I seriously believe that this MMO could get the player numbers that FF14 and WoW get if EA just put a little more investment into making more content (more ops, flashpoints, and PvP arenas), and adding some basic QoL stuff like a Guild Finder tool. However, this expansion makes me think that won't happen.
  2. This might be obvious, but it's important enough to me that I need to voice my concerns. I am very excited to see the Loadouts system being implemented in 7.0. This is something that the game has needed for a long time. However, you need to make sure that players have enough loadouts to meet their needs. I am planning to make my main an "Ultimate Trooper" by taking the Commando and Vanguard Combat Styles. I will need at least 4 loadouts: a ranged dps, a healing, a tank, and a melee dps. F2P and Preferred players will probably need at least 2 loadouts to start with, so that they can do Flashpoints with whatever build is needed at the time. Subscribers like me, with 2 combat styles, will require at least 3, with the option to buy more with credits or Cartel Coins, similar to how you can buy additional inventory slots or Legacy perks.
  3. So, I've started playing SWTOR after a long hiatus playing Neverwinter and WoW. Both of those games have an in-game system to help you find the perfect guild for you. While in game, you can bring up a list of guilds on your server and sort them by size, time zone, content they do (PvE, PvP, RP), etc. There's also a button that allows you to send mail or whispers to a guild recruiter. This is an extremely useful tool and I was sad that a I could not find something like it in SWTOR. This would make it much easier to find a guild then having to scour the forums, Reddit, Discord, and the fleet general chat.
  4. Hello Everyone, I play a Commando as my main, as I prefer the Healing and Ranged DPS combat roles. With 7.0 about to be released, I'm debating what to pick up for my second combat style. I want something that makes my character more versatile. I'm debating between the Scoundrel and the Vanguard. The Scoundrel would give me stealth (something I don't normally do) and also a second healing spec. The Vanguard would give me the option to tank (also something I don't normally do, but I'm willing to give it a shot). Which do you think would be better? Thanks in advance!
