  1. Throwing more developers at a product doesn't make it better, in most cases. Usually it takes a "new guy" one to two years to be more productive than he costs the other developers by asking stuff he must get to know. *shrugs* So, unless they have a closed off segment that is really easy to get into with clearly defines interfaces and proper documentation "invest the money into the game" just doesn't work the way amazon hires storage people. Cinematics COULD be totally disjunct from the rest of the product. So if there are excess marketing funds and ambition: that might be a cool way to 'improve' and get some "oooohs and aaaaahs".
  2. I actually like to chat. But then again I'm also a wow vet. And to simply answer your question: - Wow community is way worse (even with raidfinder) - Wow Interface kicks sw:tor all over the place - In swtor hardly anyone uses dmgmeters. That is a good thing. - Content: Story, Mood, Immersion, Classes: Swtor wins - Performance, PvP.Arena-mechanics: WoW wins. and so on... If you like "pro-gaming", and "simple": WoW If you like "story" and "customize": Swtor Well... just one opinion.
  3. Thug Guards (Wookies, Droids, Criminals, Mandalorians...) Meaning Guards that are loyal to my Character - be it through story or for the credits... not the imps or reps. Tents Like you see in every Campsite all over swtor Ruble As in broken house parts Scorch-Decals, Gunshot Marks, Burns, Scratches, Bulletholes, Blood stains, ... It's not that uncommon for someone to have the bad idea of beating a wookie in ... well whatever game. Mounted weapons & Turrets (the Fire-Turrets from the DK quest i.e.) Surveilance cameras and a matching Screen? Single Shuttles (like the one from the Makeb story or from various Campsites?) That can be placed on the DK/Coru Balcony Landingpad More Music For Ambiance and Those Bars Dancefloor (Disco Stu likes Disco!) NPC Animations/Emotes Less static NPC Hook limit removal Place as much as you like and have slots for. Decoration Hook Limit removal
  4. I don't think we'll see a response, at least an aknowledgement of this issue? I - and probably a lot of others - would like to have their strongholds buzzing with life and items.
  5. I'd be happy with getting the class signs at all. Then again... what would I remove from my stronghold so I can place it/them? But I do like the silver / gold idea.

    Oh dear.

Combining Solo with Rated was a bad idea to begin with. Registering Arena Teams -> the way to go.
  7. Yep. Sounds like our "oh, I'll do it once a day"-Domi went from that to an actual more-than-mere-casual PvP-Gal. XD You won a match. You scored in Huttball. Next thing: You flame someone for being a newb.
  8. Easily tweaked through adjustment of the threat coefficient.
  9. I get the concept. Not like I don't play games for a couple of years... like 12 or so... Agreed. To an extend. If the difference is no larger than the difference in TTK: ok. If TTK increases less: not ok. If the TTK increases more: Not too bad, unless DPS starts whining because killing tanks takes too long. Right now - in my estimates I'd say a ST:PT is about 100% more difficult to kill than a PY:PT - all the while he does at most 30% of the damage. Meaning: Everything outside of tanking is a total pain in the ar*e to do. And that means all those times you wait for a queue to pop. This is probably an understandable misinterpretation. Caring about the damage is totally not the same as "only caring about the numbers". But yes, I respecced. No.* That might be. But * And while I don't think that Tanks should reap the same damage-numbers as a dps: Anything above a 20% drop to them is ridiculous. Unless you spend your queue time standing in the fleet. And if you don't think 20% less damage is relevant: Ask any DPS class how viable they think their class would be at 20% less damage.
  10. Yeah. A lot of DPS are that way. However I'd rather do 100k damage and keep my taunts on CD and my stuns and carbonize at the ready and KILL the attacker of my heal instead of boring him and his heal to death. Playing well in pvp requires thinking no matter what. There are plenty of tanks who never ever heard of guard-switching, slows, stuns... hell some don't even know that taunting and even ae-taunts work in pvp. I used to play Jugg for the sheer fun of being able to instant-stance-swap -> guard+taunt+intervene on their focus when they blow cooldowns -> switch back right after -> chillscream and do the ravage +push etc on them. Happens all the time. Requires a bit of action, but yes - I like to protect my mates. Without being to kill off enemies however, that's not worth jack. Especially with the recent state of DPS in warzones. I don't think I had many before where only 2 dps are actually breaking 400k on a FULL LENGTH TOUGH FIGHT! I mean... what? Seriously? Yeah, I do top dps on those, but not because I'm awesome. Seriously! And yeah, there is a lot of attitude in my action. And yeah, I totally expected dps to be 'ok'. It isn't. No, meatshield is no valid job in a game for me. I need to be more... proactive. Maybe it's the hole effective HP vs absolute HP vs Peak-Stable thing from eve-online. If my dps breaks through the others heal before my own heal overheats -> Win. But yeah - if some shine in the role of the tank - go for it! To me that's the balsy role of a baitship.
  11. \o/ didn't even cost me a million. Not that hard to get when doing some daily stuff and/or selling datacron-decorations. Yeah... so who actually wants to be a pure meatshield? Meh... As I said: no wonder there are so few tanks.
  12. Now imagine what you would have done in that very same battle as an equally geared pyro... my god, the poor forums...
  13. Will probably go that way. At least the 156 stuff is cheap to get. Also we definately have different opinions on what is to be considered high damage.
