  1. Saboteur or...dirty fighting, is it?
  2. Title says it all really. Have completed agent and sorc story and looking to complete a new story with a DOT class that will be competitive in PVP. What is recommended? Thanks.
  3. Interesting. Shadow forum said Scrapper! I haven't levelled the Shadow far yet, but have enjoyed the Scoundrel more. Might give Shadow a bit of a longer go, maybe trying out Serenity. Why do you suggest Merc? I thought they were mostly PVE experts?
  4. Hello all, I want to level up a 1v1 specialist PVPer and I'm not sure whether to go for Shadow or Scoundrel? I'm thinking infiltration or scrapper (I think) depending on which class I go for. What would people recommend? Thanks.
  5. Hello all, I want to level up a 1v1 specialist PVPer and I'm not sure whether to go for Shadow or Scoundrel? I'm thinking infiltration or scrapper (I think) depending on which class I go for. What would people recommend? Thanks.
  6. Hello all, I've started a madness sorc inspired by some great PvP performances I was on the receiving end of, but after reading the forums, people seem critical of this discipline. I'm planning on a mix of PvP and pve, but not ranked or high level ops. Would I be better off changing disciplines (or even classes!)? Thanks.
  7. Hello all, I've just reached 55 with a concealment operative and am starting to gear up for pvp, but there doesn't seem to be any difference in my expertise whether I am in PVE or PVP gear due to bolster. So am I right in thinking that apart from the relic which needs to be the PVP one to work in PVP and any set bonuses, there is no benefit to having experitise on your gear? Thanks in advance!
  8. I prefer the more subtle sage version as it's much harder to figure out where the attack is coming from, as opposed to the massive purple neon sign that screams "I'M OVER HERE" for sorcs! If you'd like something with a bit more impact, use disturbance
  9. Hello all, I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips for taking down cross-healing pairs or, gof forbid, triplets, as it seems that as soon as I can focus one down with the help of others, we can't get the other one dead before the first healer is back in the action! Particuarly when contesting 'south' on Novare Coast. Thanks in advance.
  10. Hello all, During a pvp game I thought I was being interrupted when Hold the Line was up, so I tested it with a duel afterwards. I wasn't interrupted during a pushback, but I was with the interrupt ability and force lift. Is this how the ability is supposed to work or is it broken? It has worked in some warzones and I really enjoyed being a commando then. If it is working as intended then I might have to switch classes again or at least spec Thanks for feedback, Reniko
  11. A lot of 50s are complaining about having to play naked or with their best pve gear and that they've wasted so many months etc. Can I just ask these people, what do you think the 30-54 bracket would be like if you kept your gear and bolster didn't work the way it does? I'll tell you: every single warzone would be decided on who has the most geared up 50s and everyone else would be cattle to the slaughter. Instead, the way I see it, along with having fun and learning your class, levels 30-39 are for accumulating health packs and the level 40-54 is for gaining commendations to have gear for level 55. Once you get to 55, then gear will be king again, but it gives everyone else a chance to earn some gear to be competitive. You are at no disadvantage at all because you can remove your gear and have the same bolstered stats as everyone else. If you still can't make a contribution to your team after your many months of pvp play then clearly it has been your gear that has been carrying you and not your skill level. Suck it up!
  12. Hello all, Looking at the changes to alacrity, I wondered if people felt that it might be worth stacking alacrity on augments to reduce channel times and GCD? I was thinking of augmenting my level 31 commando with 14 alacrity augs, which I think will take me in the region of 8-10% alacrity overall. Thoughts? Thanks.
  13. Hi all, I was playing as one of my alts and was grouped with a sniper who had an awesome sounding sniper rifle that made a proper "BOOM" noise everytime it fired, almost like a .50 cal sniper rifle. Does anyone know what this rifle is called, how I get it, or if there are any others with a really cool sound. Thanks in advance.
