  1. This is absolutely why I did it on both of my subscription accounts. I'd log into each of the 5 servers, every day, pop the rep token, the raise the companion gift level, strong hold deco, 5 crew skill missions (tier 1) and that'd be well over 50k conquest points. If there were quick and easy GS objectives, I'd do those too. But the bottom line is that rep token sped things up VERY dramatically especially considering the real life time it took to do 5 servers. Since the change with the current GS, it takes FAR longer to do the same thing (even discounting the fact that there's a new server). As a matter of fact, I haven't even got to GS 5 on a couple of the servers (French/German) because I see it taking far more time this time around and my interest in it is waning quite quickly.
  2. That's difficult to do now that some/most of the rep tokens are consumed automatically until you max it out that week.
  3. I'm only saying this because they've never done this before, not because I know one way or the other.... I suspect they can't limit CC per server because people can buy it with RL $ They'd have to introduce a 2nd type of CC that was server only, THEN make the CM compatible with that second type of CC and recognize BOTH as legitimate payments for the CM
  4. Well, w/o looking at the math, you're right in that it wouldn't balance out, on its own, people who log in and used to get the points from the rep tokens. I was more thinking about the people who log in multiple toons each week to get conquest. Even if they did it for 2 more strongholds, granting an extra 50% instead of 25% It was more the idea/concept of that possible fix that I was commenting on. Not strictly the numbers.
  5. Take a toon with low level gathering crew skills to a higher level planet. If you're slicing (as an example) is at 100 you can still slice nodes on Yavin (as an example) and you'll get jawa junk until your slicing level starts to catch up.
  6. My theory is that it was to reduce the number of free cartel coins given out during GS. It's fast and easy to log in to every server, each day, pop a rep token and get those two daily points for GS. As subscribers, just spending 2 minutes on a server you don't normally play on will get you probably 400CC, per server, over the course of the season, JUST by doing that alone each day. If you normally just play on one server, that leaves 5 servers you can do this on. By the time you get to 50(ish) for the GS level, you'll get 400CC on each of those servers. 2000CC if you do it on 5 "alt" servers. Multiplied by everyone that does it. It's a LOT of "free" CC they give out for hardly any effort (beyond leveling toons up enough to take advantage of rep tokens, which is level 50) They already nerfed the AMOUNT of CC rewarded for GS when they saw people doing this. This latest change would certainly Reduce/SLOW down the CC given out. You can still get the same amount, you just have to put in more effort every day. 15 mins per server instead of 2-5 minutes. The problem is, OUTSIDE of GS, this nerfed "normal" gameplay as well. I don't know if that thought didn't occur to them, or if they thought players wouldn't care...or I don't know what. So, problem 1 is it makes farming CC via GS take longer and you need to put more effort into it. Problem 2 is it makes farming conquest a little slower because those "instant" points aren't available. I can see them wanting to fix problem 2, but not problem 1. The suggestion I saw, earlier in this thread (I think it was this one) about giving us a higher Stronghold Bonus would fix Problem 2, while leaving Problem 1 alone. From the POV of Broadsword, THAT's what I'd be looking at for a fix. Adding another 25% bonus, for a 7th stronghold, would make up for the loss of the high number award that rep tokens used to have.
  7. Planetary vendors and the loot boxes out in the wild would be the PERFECT option for this.
  8. This is meant as an incentive to get people to play GSF. It will never work (for me) but that's what I think is the cause of the point reward for it. Which is fine. My biggest thing about people asking for changes, in general, is "don't ask for MY play style to be nerfed - ask for YOURS to be improved"
  9. First, you're right. 15 million credits goes crazy fast. If there was a way to transfer toons WITHOUT the legacy I would have done so and would have credits galore there and it would all be gone in a matter of hours as I unlocked everything I'm used to with guild ships and so on. BUT... Which prices are you talking about? The credit cost for extra rooms / tabs has always been high. As far as I remember, it's never been raised and it's meant to be done over time. Same with unlocking Legacy Perks for that matter (though you didn't bring that up here). I do know the feeling of the "rush to get it done" since you've had it done on all the other servers for awhile now. I have two guild ships on SV I'm paying for myself and so far only opened up one room. I'm not even trying to sell stuff on the GTN (haven't been for weeks). My point is, this one particular thing...system generated credits vs. system generated costs...has nothing to do with player created inflation, especially now that there has been, and will continue to be, a mass credit influx.
  10. Queue (actually in this case I think it's just CUE) Dana Carvey: NOT GONNA DO IT
  11. If enough people list enough of the drops then MAYBE complete sets show up that people like. Yes, 90% will go unsold, but I think it'd be worth it to list them at an ultra low credit cost just to see if anything comes out of it. That's my idea about it anyway.
  12. Haven't bothered to do any yet. I have no idea which of my characters are romancing any companions at all, let alone these particular 4. I think this is going to be a youtube only thing for me.
  13. This is good to a point. However, some people, take me for an example, have a private guild on every server for both factions. While I'm not in a HURRY to unlock the rooms on the guild ship, it is a LONG TERM goal that I work toward every week. Each week I do conquest on at least 10 toons per server in order to collect the various flagship encryptions. The reputation conquest points were a HUGE boost and something I used each and every day I logged in, which was pretty much each and every day. Some servers I can run a PVE space mission for rep. Other servers I'm still using previous GS season rep tokens. On the SV server I'm doing the super fast mission on Pub Side section X. Click 4 things, kill 8 mobs. Is the reduction of the rep going to kill my interest in the game as a whole. No. But to be fair, no conquest event / week will ever be as FUN as that one time on the POT5 server where I LOST by "THIS MUCH" and only because the other guild could stay up all night and PVP for points. I squeezed EVERY possible point out that I could have with a few different F2P accounts to help out. I had a BLAST. That's the level of "dedication" (ok...obsession works too) for things from time to time. I don't like that they changed it even though it doesn't affect me, singularly, all that much. But just because I'm not as negatively affected as other people who don't have the free time that I do, or the alt accounts, doesn't mean that I can't see that it really stinks for them. And this last part isn't meant to the person I quoted, but someone else posting in this thread. Try looking through someone else's eyes. The world might look one way to you, it might make sense one way to you, but other people see, and feel, the world vastly differently, and your point of view may not make any sense, at all, to them. This is a game, but that's my attempt at a life lesson.
  14. I noticed that too one one of my toons. Didn't think to screenshot it.
