  1. Well the current version of the program needs a free diskletter before it does something. On the other hand you can copy the whole swtor game to the ramdisk to that board but then you still have to manually link the local SWTOR folder to that board else those cache files will stay on a slower disk.
  2. Hmm this is strange, when this happend were you sure the ramdisk was mounted succesfully and filled with files? Also when this occurred did you try to launch retail as it will fix all changes made by unleashed? In the OP there is a small list of common errors can you select one of those that happened to you? Thanks.
  3. If you mean faster loading of a planent, there are asset files with the name of the planet in it, try those. Altough this solution is not really intended for this kind, you can ofc always try for yourself.
  4. I just used Windows Resource Monitor that can be accessed trough taskmanager > performance. Tho I have heard that there are other programs that can do this and even create a logfile of it for readback. Guess you should just google a bit on these types of programs.
  5. Hah indeed quite some time spent on this. To create 1.0 on my own had to do quite some research as I've never made a Windows app and took a while. Also the creation of the batchscrips in the early days and giving quite some support and resolving problems here in these related threads. -just a bump-
  6. You should have done some research here on the forums of using an SSD for SWTOR. It has been discussed allot and many (not all) did not found it an improvment. The bottleneck isnt even the CPU (as many say) but the rediculus way how the game handels cache files. assets -> streaming trough 2 cache files residing in local app data -> to diskcachearena that is a 1gb cache file. The use of this method makes it extremely slow, and these cache files are on probarrly for the most on the same disk, imagine the r/w your disk has to do to fill diskcachearena and then the game eventually can read from this file. Check my sig for more info about placing a handfull of asset files on a ramdisk that is if you have some spare ram, but depending on what you place on it can or will not reduce loading times, but srsly concider placing the cache files on ramdisk even if it is to create less r/w on you SSD.
  7. @Exca I just tried his problem and it resulted in the same error. I mounted a ramdrive (not trough our program) and mounted it as R. After confirming our program doesn't accept R (which it doesnt and is good at this point) I tried to change the mountpoint but it kept saying that I selected R and doesn't accept, with every ramdom letter. @Kosheen thanks for the feedback, now that I was able to reproduce I guess we need to look at it. Edit; I also found a bypass to try this tool out, open up 'SwtorUnleashed.xml' and change the number 83 (ascii for R) between <RamDriveLetter>number</RamDriveLetter> to for example 84 (ascii for S). Then start our tool and place and save settings.
  8. 1. Depending on what asset files you place on the ramdisk it might increase loading times of planets (thus you need the asset files that contain that worlds data). This method is more intended to reduce the ingame ramdom fps drops and hitching when the game needs data (this means not loading screens). 2. In the current state of the program, if you patch without removing (or launching retail) the launcher might return an error and ask you to repair. This can be ignored and you just close the launcher, start our tool and press 'Launch Retail'. This will remove the setup and the game will be able to patch, after that you can close and launch unleashed again. Take note that not always the launcher returns an error when patching, only the files that needs to be updated and are currently linked to the ramdisk will return an error. When it does not return an error (even while patching) everything is patched just fine.
  9. Open our tool and go to settings. There you will see 'Ram Drive Letter (Mount Point)' and a box. This box has the letter 'R' by default, just change that letter to change the ramdisk destination.
  10. Either add the character animation asset file or the voidstar visual world asset, which I don't know what it is called. You can ofc watch diskaccess with a program or somesort and see what files the client is reading the most during hte first 2-5 seconds of voidstar.
  11. This would probarlly the case, for futher improvments use the character movment assets. It is still more or less trial and error and see what works for you personally depending on both wishes, pc specs, internal ram.
  12. Meh this thread needs a sticky or somesort, it gets burried way to quick.
  13. The game will internally wipe or clean out DiskCacheArena and will recreate it if it is missing. Hench we take this opportunity to just delete this file (both during setup and removal) and the game will recreate it. If it is linked to the ramdisk it will recreate the file there, else it will recreate the file on the normal position. We have tested it and there is absolutely no advantage or disadvantage over keeping the DiskCacheArena as it seems it will be rebuild at loading after character selection, loading with the needed files of where the character is at that point. Also keep in mind if you add local cache, most of the time these are 0kB in size, only during loading sequences these are used. Also these files are hard deleted and recreated by the game thus we had to move the whole local folder to the ramdisk, as it would delete the "links" and recreate the files on the normal place.
  14. This is total bull, then even real-time desktop parsers would be illegal but it is not and they actually confirmed it yesterday in another thread that it is not in their policy. Also on top of what Exca just said, even support yellow posts have been linking (as a solution suggestion!) to the old original thread back in January and February, so they absolutely know about us and I have yet to receive a single PM or post from support stopping me. Also I've read the Terms and policies and EULA and in no way they say we can't move game files around, unless you modify to gain an unfair advantage which is a violation. Sorry troll failed.
  15. I know I've read it but somehow I still prefer to heal by targeting than just idling a boss's target. Well I know people who will love the tru tank dps or tru boss heal, I'll stick with the active targeting heal. For this it would be great to have hoveroverheal again but it is kinda much to ask and I am totally used again healing by click-click
