  1. Owen Brooks answered my original question over on Answers HQ. And to quote the last post over on my other thread:
  2. Quick update They finally agree that the issue is a system issue their end and they will work towards fixing it. They have also agreed to give reasonable compensation for my trouble. Things are starting to look positive. Hopefully I'll be playing again next week.
  3. Day Fourteen It looks like they have finally started to investigate the issue with my account.
  4. Yes, I did have a feeling you were both saying the same thing
  5. I just hope I get my money back on the subscription I've paid for and not been able to use.
  6. Thank you for the suggestion, but at this point I already know that the issue is with my account on the SWTOR system side. My account was created in 2013 and EA Help have already admitted that issues like mine are common with older accounts. Regarding the email provider being the issue, I have tried email addresses ending with the list below, it is not my email provider. I have also created a free to play account for testing during my issue. I can use this account without any issue. I can validate the email address, and I can change my email address. The issue with my subscribed account is that I can't do either of these, meaning I can't play any character past level 20. @yahoo.co.uk @ymail.com @googlemail.com @gmail.com @hotmail.com @bigww.co.uk
  7. I've had an issue with my account since the 19th. I've raised tickets with SWTOR support and they had been getting closed without having any other communication. The thread is here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=979814 My last ticket was closed with the note "Resolved via Email" which was a flat out lie, I hadn't received any emails or in-game communications. At 17:30 today I raised yet another ticket with SWTOR via the in-game support menu available to subscribers. This ticket wasn't closed, it was deleted by support. They are now actively deleting my tickets. Are there any channels available to paying customers to raise official complaints? I honestly don't know where to go from here.
  8. I am so angry at the pitiful excuse for “support” I have (not) received from SWTOR support. Five support tickets have all been closed without a single response or care for my issue. My last ticket has just been closed with the note “Resolved via Email”. This is a flat out lie from the support representative. They have not made any attempt at contacting me regarding this issue. What the actual f* are they playing at?!
  9. Below is a quote from info I received on AHQ. But yes, I have already tried this. Suggestion 1: I have tried multiple browsers on multiple devices. Suggestion 2: There is not an option for "forgot email address" to my knowledge. Suggestion 3: I've attached multiple screenshots to my support tickets. Of the four tickets I've sent, three were closed by support, all within 24 hours of me opening them. The last one hasn't had any responses yet. Call me cynical, but to me this shows that although support my be busy, they are NOT overwhelmed. They read, responded, and closed my tickets within 24 hours. They are prioritising easy support tickets, or support tickets relating to people not being able to pay money. As I've said, this isn't a problem which can be fixed by me or other community members. There is a system issue with my account and I'm just being stonewalled by support.
  10. Day Nine As support have insisted multiple times that the issue is local to me, that there are zero issues their end, I thought I would test that theory. I've created a new free account, logged in, validated my email without issue, played the game, and successfully changed the email address associated with my account without issue. I think it's time that support start to take my issue seriously. The issue is with my account on their system and not local to me.
  11. Yes, currently being discussed here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Unable-to-Validate-or-Change-my-Email-Address/m-p/9134609
  12. Day Six I suppose it's a good sign that my ticket wasn't immediately closed this time, unlike my last three tickets. But still no contact from support. I've decided just to keep starting new characters. I would go off and bake a cake to pass the time, but I've ran out of flour and I've been unable to find any in the shops.
