  1. I support the Crafting window sorting by Rating initially when opened. Every time I open that window, I have to click 2 more times to change the sort to Rating. By Rating shows every group of items in an order that makes sense. Either this or remember the last sort order.
  2. I had reported the bug ingame back on November 3 that searching for Barrels in GTN also returned Hilts. Guess I should have looked more closely at those Hilts.
  3. I can confirm this for a brand new Trooper on Ord Mantell just yesterday. Completing "Buying Loyalty" with the Light Side choice doesn't give the Codex Lore entry "Underworld Influences", blocking the Legacy Achievement "Loremaster of Ord Mantell", and completing "Destroy the Beacons" doesn't give the Codex Title "Mantellian".
  4. I just started leveling a new Trooper to fix some of the bugs with my Legacy, what wasn't transferred from my original Trooper when Legacy came out. On Ord Mantell, there's still 2 Codex entries bugged for Troopers and likely anyone else. Completing "Buying Loyalty" with the Light Side choice doesn't give Lore entry "Underworld Influences" and completing "Destroy the Beacons" doesn't give the Codex Title "Mantellian". I think this is due to the new method of handling Heroic missions.
  5. Thanks for the reply, nyrkverse. I think I understand most of what you said. I do have questions about gear. When you talk about DPS / Healing gear for leveling, especially for group content, that gear favours Mastery, Endurance, and Power, in that order. And Tanking gear favours Endurance, Mastery, and Defence, in that order. With DPS gear adding Critical, Alacrity, and Accuracy, while Tanking gear adds Shield and Adsorb. So using gear either from the Fleet & Planet vendors or what I can craft meself, I just have to select those particular item modifications which fulfill the general goals I laid out above. There's way too many variant schematics and pieces, with 2 types of Armorings, 6 Mods, and 15 Enhancements, every 2 to 4 levels. Lots of Augments too (which I'd have to craft), but I think they can be skipped until endgame. The problem I'm having is a lot of the information I've found has some gems of knowledge but it also assumes the readers know a lot about many facets of the game. And the more general guides to get that basic information etc are usually for pre 4.0 or worse pre 3.0. I've seen the summaries about optimal end-game gearing. They talk about the target numbers for Attributes and the major choices involved, mostly around which Enhancements, Augments, Relics, and Crystals. Since I don't have an end-level character, I don't have direct knowledge of end-level gear and I don't know what's not even being said because of assumed knowledge. I'm just assuming I'll find out about it before or when I get there.
  6. I'm leveling a Shadow and an Assassin, both currently in their 20's just leaving their capital worlds. I picked these AC's to be able to both DPS and Tank as needs be. I've see some of the initial information and data for SWTOR 4.0+ on the relative strengths of various AC+Disciplines for DPS, Healing, and Tanking, but these are tailored to endgame PvE and PvP, as well as running a character with the Discipline and the Form matching the role, DPS / Heal / Tanking. I know casual PvE leveling isn't as demanding, but I'd like to learn the character well enough to be able to do well when I get to the point of the tougher content. What should I do to aid that in my usual play? As well, I'm also interested when Disciplined for Tanking how good is the DPS, especial if shifted to the non-tank Technique / Charge. Similarly when Disciplined for DPS, how well can they Tank, especially if shifted to Combat Technique / Dark Charge.
  7. I'm leveling a Guardian and a Juggernaut, both currently in their 20's just leaving their capital worlds. I picked these AC's to be able to both DPS and Tank as needs be. 8. It would be helpful if the login character selector displayed more than 6 characters per page, preferably at least 8, perhaps by expanding it and slightly shrinking the size of the character entries. As well, the size of the page buttons to move through the list of characters should be larger to make it easier to target for a mouse click.
  9. And Patch 4.0.2 has removed all the closed spam tickets. Yay!
  10. Patch 4.0.2 returned mission Matrix Shards. Has anyone checked out whether we can make Matrix Cubes?
  11. Every time I get a spam email on any of my alts, I do the 2 clicks and report it as spam. This opens a Customer Service ticket. I have some going back to November 4. And now I can't open new ingame Customer Service tickets; a window pops up saying I've hit the limit on open tickets. Can't close the spam tickets as that fails, saying try again later. Can only just submit more spam email reports. Any ideas how I can fix this?
  12. I found these 2 work-arounds. First, for the return to the Esseles bridge prior to escaping, when you click on the 1st Officer, minimize the windowed client and if you have audio set to play in background you'll hear the game proceed without the crash. After the jump, you can expand the window again. And second, when you make the choice between going on to Coruscant or back to the Republic Fleet, hit the space bar to skip over that jump-to-lightspeed graphic crash. That second one works Empire-side to get around the crash at the end of Black Talon too.
  13. Happened to me on the Black Talon earlier today. Was lucky and got the rewards. Would have been seriously pissed if I hadn't.
  14. Part of the reason balancing is so hard is the combat system at its base is so fscking complex, what with 4 classes each with 2 advanced classes and abilities and 5 skill trees. And it is so because BW/EA want it to be complicated and a time sink in learning how to make it work and ranting about it to boot. Impossible to fix? I don't think so, but it's damn hard. BW wants more data? How about making it possible to change advanced class? That'll give 'em more data. If they're brave, they'd merge them, allowing you to shift between roles with a gear and skill change. QFT
  15. Can you implement cross-side chat channels? My guild has characters on both sides of the same server and we'd like to see who's on both sides and chat with them. I can understand this may have issues with PvP, but no more than a guild's use of 3rd party chat. If considered necessary, they could be disabled in PvP.
