  1. **hugs to everyone** Yeah, some posts got deleted which prompted my DA2 comments. For the record, Anders didn't bother me too much and it was very easy to get the friendship back. Without meaning to, my second play through, everyone was my friend. Not kidding; I didn't have a single rival or neutral party member. They all loved me. I'm still reading and watching. I've noticed some of the long time posters dealing with those trying to debate with numbers. Ah, the old "Only a tiny minority is LGBTQ and they are the only ones that want this content; why are they wasting time on this," argument. The greatest hits keep coming and for those that have been here throughout last year, you know what I mean. I really hate it when those that are "concerned" for us throw around the minority argument. Those numbers also doesn't take into account role players that aren't LGBTQ. There are players out there that want this for sheer role playing reasons. So anytime I see someone claim, "Oh, only a small percentage is LGBTQ, so only they want it," I shake my head. I know for certain that there are both male and females that are straight and want to try this out as well. So, while there is indeed a small amount of the general population that is anything other than straight, that doesn't account for other factors. Like the fact that players sometimes role play in a story based MMO. Weird, right?
  2. I can already state that it isn't going to be like DA2, in the sense that you there will be no affection loss if you choose to ignore the flirt. So I honestly don't see what the issue is. Then again, I haven't seen the issue with this in the year or so since I started posting about this.
  3. Okay, I want to make sure I understand this. The wording of your post was very confusing, so here's my take on it: You feel that SGRs should be only on PvP and PvE realms since they ruin RP by trashing existing lore. You do realize that homosexual relationships exist in the Star Wars EU(Extended Universe) and even in BioWare's games since 2003, correct? KOTOR, for example, had a lesbian SGR available in it. If you want proof that homosexual relationships exist in other areas of the EU, here's an example: I'm not sure how removing a RP element from RP servers makes any sense at all. Don't want to participate in SGRs? Don't click the option. Done.
  4. It's hard to tell how much someone is kidding via text. So that's on me I suppose. What smaller head? Do you think I'm a guy? That's rather funny that you think I am. In that case, you can have my man card. I never got handed one in the first place. I think my poor husband would be confused if I was a guy. I'm a lady (born and raised) and I feel that way. I don't speak for all women, and I don't think anyone should speak for an entire group/gender. It's early Sunday morning here and I'm hanging out with my hubby listening to White Zombie. So we do have lives and we aren't all male. Not being too emotional, just agreeing with Revan's point.
  5. I haven't posted much lately, but I have been reading. I can tell you from my personal experience that a player can end the current romance. I did it with Quinn without issues ("You are no longer welcome in my bedchamber" was the basic dialog.) There was two more conversations with the [Flirt] dialog option included later, but he never treated my SW like his lady after that. That ended that arc, I'm happy to say. I didn't like the companion for several reasons. Trust me, if I had been forced to stay in a relationship with Quinn, I would have cancelled my sub last March. I'll be posting more later. I've finished my second DA2 playthrough and I have some ideas about where the future of SGRAs could be going in ToR based upon my experiences with the Dragon Age series and the romances involved. I'm not sure when at this point. Still taking a break from a lot of this. I just found out I'm gonna be an auntie again, only from my own bloodline this time. Take care guys.
  6. **pops in** Don't see why they couldn't do it all at once. I think it would make more sense from a financial and time perspective to do all the romance content together. The flirts we're getting in Makeb I think were intended at one point to go in after SGRs, but they had those done probably pretty quickly. SGRs got delayed, so we're seeing the Makeb flirts first. I honestly think we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg and there is far more down the pike. From everything I've gathered after nearly a year of research, the game going F2P was the big monkey wrench in a lot releasing of content. We happened to be the group that was ignored the longest, but those that want this feature were certainly not the only ones that got hit by this. I'm still around. I love the Suggestion Box thread and my goodness was there a good blog in there too. If you'll excuse me, I've got DA2 to finish. I have some ideas and thoughts about how SWTOR might handle future SGR content, but I'd like to get a couple of playthroughs in first. I've done that with DA:O; I did the SGR with Leliana and the OGR with Alistair. I'm also analyzing DA2 a bit, for their approach to SGRs. I've noted the differences, but I'll be back when I'm done. Still love ya guys! Also, there is a thread in the Suggestion Box that is dedicated to talking about why SGRs shouldn't be in the game yet. If you have strong feelings about this matter, please post there.
  7. I'm sure there is far more people that want SGRs that any of us think. ME3 and both the DA games had SGRs in them and those went triple platinum. As David Gaider said, they do track who uses what. I'm sure SGRs weren't the only reason for that, but it obviously didn't hurt anything. Anyway, this is my last post for awhile. We've got our update, so I'm taking a break. I need one, and I need some time for all of this to settle down. Not so much to the person above me, but I'm done with the trolls for awhile. I'm done with the concern trolls especially. I'm done with the tired arguments about minority vs majority. I'm done with those that say an update is not worth it. I'm done with people thinking I went to GLAAD to push for this to get in. I'm done trying to explain that all I wanted was an update and that the answer didn't have to be any sort of yes. I'm done justifying myself to narrow minded..."people," that can't think past their own noses. Stick a fork in me. I'll see you guys later. I'll be back, just not for awhile. In the words of Tigger: Ta Ta For Now.
  8. Point taken, for sure. As a side note, I loved the quest where you take out spice factories. It's rather near and dear to my heart. I'm glad that quest is in the game. Anyway it does seem like our chances of getting SGR flirts from only the underground aspect of the lore is high. I really hope some NPCs not associated with the Hutt Cartel have SGR flirts too. Otherwise, it could only be criminals and prostitutes that have SGR flirts. They do have some legitimate businesses, so I'd be okay from getting flirts from them as well. Despite some of my feelings about the way this whole thing has been handled, I really try to credit them with more taste than making SGR flirts only coming from the criminal side of the Hutt Cartel. There are days that my cynicism can get the better of me.
  9. It would be great, but I think the invisible shirts are supposed to the answer to that. There is some potential there, however. Hopefully they'll take more full advantage of that idea.
  10. Eh, I know, but I still find it a little suspicious that they were planning to release it in an update that is centered around gangsters that run brothels. But I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. Just floating around some ideas since we've got that update. Ha, there should be a Hutt quest giver that flirts with every player in either the slave girl costume or one of those invisible shirts. Working as an envoy to the Hutts is perfect for my LS Sniper. She's gone freelance, so I can see her taking up what work she could.
  11. Ick! No, I don't think they'd go that far. Unless they put it in for OGR, but that would probably be for a joke. Thanks to the movies, especially Empire, I never ever want a Hutt touching me even via a video game character. I think it's going to be the brother workers and not the Hutt owners that it'll have SGR flirts. Calling it now: One of the first female SGR flirts is going to come from a Twi'lek "dancer" that works in a Hutt pleasure palace.
  12. Ah, you said it better than I ever could. That is exactly how I feel about this whole thing as well. I've watched your posts in dealing with some of the more touched of the trolls. You are my hero, Jedi. /notworthy Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year BW: Austin! I hope that the 9 months of dead silence on the issue was worth it. In my humble opinion, the fallout wouldn't be so bad if they had addressed this sooner. The silence led to all of this; the anger by the pro-SGR community and the outrage of the trolls. Perhaps if they had mentioned that it was still coming openly and publicly prior to this point and after the Guild Summit, players would have gotten used to idea. They probably wouldn't have freaked out so sodding bad after Mr. Hickman talked about in his SotG. My favorite forum safe word of the day: Sod. Thank you DA: O for that.
  13. Wow, some people aren't happy about how they handled SGRs? Funny how most people are unhappy to some extent about how their chosen feature is handled. Huh, aren't some people unhappy with how they handled Illum or the FPs as well? Just look at the State of the Game thread; there is a lot of people very displeased with the handling of PvP as an example. The reaction here isn't atypical. Not everyone is going to be satisfied with the answer nor the way this may play out. Just like with any group with any other feature. It just so happens to be SGRs this time. People complain about X, Y, Z feature being "done wrong, " all the time. So I don't know why this should be any different. For my part, I'm just glad we got an update and got some rumors confirmed. Even if it's NPC flirts to start with, it's a step in the right direction. Anyway, I saw your post in one of the other threads I lurk in saying you were done with the game. I wish you the best and may you find a game that suits you.
  14. That thread bothers me as well, but the right to speak up goes both ways. As long as they treat it like our thread (any multiple threads on that subject locked and redirected,) it can stay there. It won't do the detractors a lick of good, but they still should be able to talk about their feelings about this as well. Crazy week, huh guys? Glad we got an update, regardless of the blowback.
  15. **hugs** Yeah, new supporters all the time Lent. Hang in there hun! You bet I'm all about that thread. The trolls won't stop, so they should have their own special little corner just like we were stuck in until November. We'll know where most of them are at, they can talk trash about SGRs all day long and hopefully give us less of a headache. Heh, I left a valid suggestion for that guy. I wanted to mention that a guy named Fred would be willing to help him out, but I thought that was too far.
