  1. Let me tell you what, as a founder there was plenty of activity on all the servers at the beginning. I spent a lot of time and effort on mine, now I'm being forced to merge because the game can't keep people ? I like low pop servers, not as many terrible people playing and I love the game, but I work nights and weekends and can never seem to find a guild that is available to do things at 8 am east coast time on a Tuesday. There wouldn't be multiple dead servers if the game wasn't dying. Merging the servers isn't going to change the way most of us play is it ? Why didn't YOU move to a more populated server ? I was here at the beginning and because of this merge I will likely be moving to another game..Trust me there are other games without this merging server issues that I play and not near as many ***wipes. You want to PvP ? Where are the PvP servers ? You want to PvP, get on a WOW PvP server. Group content ? Can't find any decent groups..I got kicked out of a guild the other day because my name had poke in it. Nothing offenseive, but the guild master was too ignorant to understand what the name poke-ahauntis meant. Personally I think there should be servers for all the kids under 40 and a server for the rest of us adults, even if it means a low pop server for me, although my entire guild I'm in now are all over 40 years old and actually have real lives, but it doesn't matter, if this merge doesn't fit right with us, we are all going to go back to our other game(s)..Like I said before, multiple dead servers are not a good sign.
  2. and I totally agree. Do not punish players for the games inability to foresee things or the inability to manage multiple servers..I don't want a merge and having just come back to the game, I may not stay because of it. I work nights and can very seldom do all these group things and I hate PvP. (the reason I'm here and not playing WOW)... There already are too many racist, terrible people in game on the server I am on..I don't like seeing women belittled and the N word used so constantly without a way to report the people.. Merging the servers down to a few certainly tells me a lot about the number of people still playing the game.. (Yes I have the Founder title) I am currently trying to determine the best server to play on because of the issue with people, forcing me to play with an abundance of terrible people just turns me off.
  3. Well, I'll toss my 2 cents in to try and help... How often do you play ? Do you have anyone else in the guild that plays as often or more that you trust ? If so try and recruit their help. How many active players do you have ? Play more than once a month is what I consider active....but decide for yourself. Boot out all the players that haven't played for a long time. For my guild that is 60 days. Unless someone tells you they are going to be gone for a period but will be back, get rid of them. Establish a hierarchy. Decide on what you want to do, RP, mostly PvE, lots of PvP, Ops etc. Start off slow, try to recruit members WILLING to help and not just looking for a place to roost..(which includes playing often enough to help other guildies) Establish real rules within the guild bank. I've also been with the game since the day it came out, maintaining a guild is hard to do with so many people coming and going and so many noobs these days. Take some of the lessons you have learned from your own experiences and use them, but at least keep the guild for yourself even if you don't plan on expanding. It takes a lot of time and effort and someone really willing to spend time for a big guild with website etc. Oh Yea, get a good voice chat program to use, something free if possible. Raidcall I believe is free, or even Skype.
  4. Well, still not sure how much I like it yet. All I know is the rewards are still not up to speed. Solo Flashpoints that were way to easy at 55. Out of 6 pieces of orange/purple mod gear none were of any use to me. I used one for a companion. The Elite comms were about the only thing. I already have near 1000 basic comms. Look guys why don't you at least make the gear Legacy bound ? That way I can at least send them to an Alt. Seems like you are catering to the Newer players. What new content have you created at the lower levels to make leveling up better and more enjoyable ? This whole 12xp thing pushing people to level up to 55 was a mess if you ask a lot of people...But Oh well, I'm gonna give it until my next game pay date to see if I really want to stay. time will tell
  5. Don't like it all. Seems like an attempt to make the PvP field more even if you ask me...I like the skill tree, it's something I can count on. I like leveling. I'm not a PvP person which is why I started playing this game at the beginning, the PvP content was not such a big thing. Sounds to me like you are trying to make more people alike..No, No, No, that is not the way to do one of these games. You don't make the playing field new just because some folks can and do handle their characters better than others. Now we have to learn a whole thing all over again ? If this is the case I might as well stop playing until the patch comes out. Don't like it don't like it don't like it. We will see if this spells doomsday for my days of playing this game or not. I don't want my friends Sorcerer suddenly able to do the things my Assassin can do and so forth. and some of these people are right, there are still things in this game that need to be fixed not replaced. I don't want this game to become so easy my grand-children can play it.
  6. Well, let me put my 2 cents in on this PvP / PvE thing. I rolled on a PvE server because I had been on a PvP server for a long time in WOW. I got tired of it when I was soloing. The point I want to make is a PvE server should be just that, no PvP period. I really loved LOTR because of that and there was PLENTY of great content. and lots of cool gear. I came to SWTOR because my friends did. I get tired of the wanna be PvPers screaming in chat..come on everybody que up for PvP lada lada lada. I don't want to PvP. There is plenty of ways to make great content and have a PVE server !! If you are a true PvPer than you will be on a PvP server. The original point of the thread was I think, is if you are going to have PvP on a PVE server don't make it a Part of REGULAR game play during anything, special events, or not. I for one am not a "keep up with the Jones" kind of person. I don't do the PvP and this probably leaves me at a disadvantage, which like the original person was trying to say is not making things equal. Just like bringing real world money via the Cartel Coins in the game. Those people who don't have or want to spend their hard earned money get left out on a lot of stuff unless they can afford to pay the jacked up GTN prices. Have a nice day folks
  7. Yea, it's totally ridiculous to work all the way to champion in section x and really get nothing in return. Most of us don't need to replace our own gear and without being able to gear up our companion what do you get ? Nothing except a title for Hero up until that point.. Are you paying attention game developers ? I was looking forward to at least gearing up a companion. I'm really getting tired of this game going nowhere for us primary solo players who don't like PvP (that's why I chose a PvE server) About time to explore my Steam account and check out my other games I think. But at least I found out I can install leftover bound mods into an armor item from section x and send it to an alt then pull the mod out and give it to a companion or the alt. Don't know if there was a way to do this before but I do now..
  8. Having Seen this on other games, I had a feeling the crying would start with F2P. Look, pay for a SUB or move on to a free game if you don't like it. What I don't like is the CARTEL Coins. Now all of a sudden people can unlock things I spent countless hours leveling to 50 to get (my Sith Jedi for instance) and spent countless wads of my in game cash for Legacy Items.. ( whats the use for legacy if you can just buy it anyway) This whole Cartel Coins thing is a big can of worms. Those people who can afford to buy them are at a distinct advantage over those of us who don't want to drop a bunch of money on the game. One friend of mine started a Sith Jedi just like that after I had spent countless hourse leveling my Sith to 50. *** ? and all the hours and money I sent to my lowbie toons for them to get speeder availability at low levels, is now a bunch of wasted money. You should give all of us Some in game money credit for Cartel Unlocks we already have paid for !! Overall, I think this Cartel Coins/ F2P issue is gonna cause longterm problems. This whole Cartel Coins thing is a bad idea...and whyn the hell don't we have Shared Storage yet ? Oh yea are youn going to let us consilidate our toons on different servers for free so we don't have to spend money on 2 different servers ? When something says all characters across my account does it mean all my servers ? I bet not. So let me consilidate my toons to one server, otherwise, I'm outta here soon.
  9. I NEVER complained about my LOW Pop server, I liked it that way, never had a problem. somehow we managed to have 200 or so in the guild which was sufficient numbers for us. I play the game for fun, way too many people take it too serious. I play when I have time between my 50 hour a week job and housework and real life stuff. I don't have time to play 6 or 8 or more hours a day even on my off day..Sometimes I dont get 8 hours of play in a week, but of course we are the ones to suffer..Then they move me to an already overpopulated server where I have to change my legacy name and who knows how many other names ? What If I had the Legacy name first ? It's a good thing they didn't move me to one of the other servers I have toons on, then It would be a mess. And I like my Legacy Name, I took some time and thought into it just Like the game people tell you to and now all of a sudden I got to change it ? Like I said, give us 2 or even 3 server options to go to, if I have to change my Legacy name then, so be it. Yes I am ************ about it. I'm ************ about being forced to a server I don't want to go to and with no other choices and not even a PAID Transfer service available...I'd gladly pay to transfer my toon to another server if it was not full and eligible..But it's one of those, okay everybody on this side of the boat go to this side then wonder why it capsizes.. Like the one person said, people left the game for other reasons than server population, and I would leave too except I play with my best friend, but when I'm gone I'm taking the other 2 people in the house with me because I pay the bill..:-) I dont care what anybody says, this whole transfer business is a mess and the only people that are gonna be happy are the people with no jobs that got nothing better to do than grind and look for groups. One more thing, just like WOW I don't like being told by a game that in order to have fun I have to group with people, this is a game not Facebook. and people arent going to use the group thing anyway because just like WOW you got your "Know it all" people and their little groups of friends even in guilds..so PUG it is.
  10. everything on this mouse works fine, you don't get the color crystal until you install the software and do a free register. This mouse rocks in SWTOR I wouldnt use anything else now
  11. I for one want them to fix the things in game that are broke first...not going into specifics, but most people know what i mean...My first rant is PvP on a PvE server, one thing I was hoping when I left LOTRO was that SWTOR did it the way they did, NO PvP on PvE servers that was a significant part of gameplay and stick to the story line, you can't go wandering around with random dumb changes like the Legacy system..WOW was a game not really based on a movies series or books...It didn't have a predetermined atmosphere therefore could be more "flexible" this game is Star Wars, not just Space Sci-Fi and therefore should stay true to the Star Wars environment, like LOTR pretty much trys to stay with the Tolkien Realm..In other words Orcs and Humans can't be related..etc. BW does't understand they aren't going to attract many more people other than what they have...A lot of my friends that play other games, specifically LOTR are not coming over to SWTOR because they don't like Star Wars anymore than they like Star Trek...It's important to stay focused on the Star Wars environment to maintain the fan base...SOme of us can't play the game 6 hours a day and we play for fun and relaxation, which still requires a monthly payment BW. I only came over because my best friend wanted me to play because he is a big Star Wars nut...I'm ready to head back to LOTRO anytime. You are changing things too much too fast BW..I hope you are ready to lose players because I'm ready to go if it don't work out...one thing for sure it isn't going to "attract new players". I hear DIII is coming out this year anyway...LOL
