  1. You know if they want people to play more, encouraging alt gameplay is the best way to do it. Especially where the stories are so branching. I'm not asking for good gear, just mods so I don't have to remove gear that I've had on since SoR and made a transmog I love before we got outfitter.
  2. So I just returned to SWTOR, left in 5.0 when they introduced command crates and removed gear from OPS etc. Figured I'd try it again because the story has always been decent and I do love GSF. And I find out coming back leveling my characters to 80 and getting into Legacy of the Sith content that the gear I'm getting for questing doesn't have mods in it to extract and put on my gear (alot of custom gear I have equipped I've had equipped since 3.0 mind you and have become very attached to it) and ask some people who reply there won't be moddable gear until 7.1 and even then only from HM ops. *** this is the worst decision since removing gear from OPS and having it only come from command crates. I now have 0 desire to continue playing SWTOR, because I will have to use crappy green weapons without mods and not ability to skin over with the outfitter, and other green items (which I'll have to keep re-augmenting). Who the hells idea was this? Why? Its a turn off for returning players like me who haven't played since 5.0 7 others in my guild we all decided to go back and try it and no we have 0 desire since we can't mod our gear (ontop of the 7.0 content being very light in content). I'll happily come back if moddable gear is readily available. Otherwise I probably won't be back for another 2 expansions.
  3. I hope with the average gear rating you will be excluding augments because the 228 rating would definitely lower the average gear. Also cant wait for this to see Umbara and what you guys did with the planet I was very fond of that clone wars arc.
  4. Just after i bought a subscription to WoW because i thought the maintenance would take longer
  5. I'm quite glad they nerfed it. BT/Essels is the only flashpoint that does not bolster you to level 70, it bolsters you to level 10, and it takes 15 mins to run through 1 shotting mobs. Its not like its any other flashpoint, and its not like they are nerfing HM hammer station.
  6. No... just no... UC's for PvP and GSF are already good enough it was to make PvP and GSF meaningful to gear up. If you are not doing Veteran/Master Mode operations, or pvp you don't need 248 gear.
  7. It wouldn't be that bad if tunings didnt cost 600 cc's to unlock, it should be 400cc's like gold and platinum items are to account unlock already.
  8. If you, hypothetically (if not its a bug) have a CM saber with the 210 green mods equipped (with color crystal) and a legacy weapon with the same mods and color crystal their stats should be identical the key thing to keep in mind is the color crystal's stats
  9. Well my bet is that its broken because of the new ops boss in 5.3 and some weird thing because it was supposed to be Tyth today. If so we may have a normal operation GF tomorrow, if not well something is going to be fixed in 2 days.
  10. Well that also is different too, if your on a dead server nothing you really can do to make alot of credits because the GTN is dead. Might need to think about changing servers, i do believe its 90cc right now and achievements and decorations do transfer so its not like starting fresh, though you will need to reactivate your SH's its not that bad as it may seem Sadly people who are on low pop servers the ways to get credits without a gtn economy is very tough because you are completely dependent on missions like heroics, don't know what else to say to increase credit grind, still open the alliance crates though the companion gifts are nice to boost and if you do transfer a character to a populated server you can get quick credits fast if you hold onto them.
  11. All to true, general rule of thumb give the tanks 3 seconds to build threat/taunt before you hop in unless the boss is like brontes with adds first.
  12. Well you never know if you will like it or hate it unless you give it a try, i didn't pvp much because i was the same way didn't like the heat of the competition but ya GSF changed my opinion on that because its completely different mechanics from the base game.
  13. Ya i mean, i got 42 kills in a death match before because 3 people kept charging at my railgun head on, not arcing, not using their scouts evade just straight into the railgun... thats just suicide you dont run straight into a charging gunship unless you have a death warrent or are a bomber using charged plating, you go at an arcing angle. Then i got hate mail, and kept getting called a cheater when it was 3 scouts that kept charging my position when i was attempting to flank the rest of their team. Also nothing wrong with people between servers. Between the Ebon Hawk and the Harbinger people change all the time between the servers because sometimes it could get stale or they have friends on both servers.
  14. Exactly, the main issue people were bringing up wasn't the dps of commando/merc BUT their survivability because they have 3 CDC's that heal from ability/utility. The main issue is that they have adrenal rush to heal to 70% (with utility) and reactive shield heal which is insane heal (with utility) and your new reflect shield heal ability. The issue is in PvP you need to get them down to 20% HP for them to go back to near 100% hp not once, twice, but 3 times off of these abilities/utilities. You need to take away one of them. The best bet is to remove the adrenal rush to 70% hp utility OR the reactive shield heal utility and give it to vanguard which really needs a heal dcd because there survivability in pvp is low, can't tell you how many times we go for the vanguard/PT in 4 vs 4 before the healer because they are easy kills. Take away one of the mando/merc's heal utilities and the class will have a lesser survivabilty. Right now with these changes as is you will need to nerf mando/merc again in 5.4 or 5.5 because of their 3 heal abilities/utilites that are absurd in health regain. Then the class will be terrible once you do that because use nerf'ed the dps so much avoiding the actual problem. Listen to the players not the target dps parse because pvp is not a target dummy neither is operations they hit and fight back where you need to stop your dps output to evade and run.
  15. Tanking isn't easy as it seams, you aren't trying to deal the most damage, or much damage at all. You are cycling through your moves to either kite the boss (cartel warlords, they heal up anyhow) or you try to keep the bosses from hitting another player for 50k damage that would hit you for 10k damage. Your more focused on taunting and guard swaping to make sure your dps who are ignorant to not use their threat lowering moves, or a class that doesn't have a good one *cough* mara/sent *cough* so they don't bite the bullet. With that being said its not like tanking in pvp, in pve content its the hardest thing to do properly. A person in tank gear and spec could be terrible as a tank compared to someone in dps gear and dps spec who might tank better than them if they don't know what they are doing.
