Stwor PVP is an art form....learned with a guild.
Degato-Nafix replied to Nickodemous's topic in PvP
It's the gaming system more then learning PVP. I've been pvping in MMOs since EQ1. LOL! Just want to learn about gear, augments, how to farm gear efficiently etc. Yes, comms for randoms makes pvp and pve gaming way more fun. I'm having a blast soloing queueing my way to 80. The Sorc seems like a great solo choice so far. -
This was very helpful! Thank you for the response.

There aren't pvp guilds? So I'm just getting excited and leveling up in a dead game (for pvp content)? This game and even more so the pvp in this game seems hella complex and I figured once I hit 80 I HAVE to join a guild to learn the ins/outs (plus I enjoy being in an active guild). I'm happy to take the time to learn it all but what's the point if the current state of "end game" pvp is dead? I guess I should be taking all the PVP is dead in this game comments seriously? I just figured it was the normal gaming/nerd culture online rage. Damn, I spent all that money on cartel coins for nothing. :p:p -
How do the current healing specs rank in warzones at 80? Ranked? Which healer has the best DPS? Thanks in advance!

It's to bad this thread got derailed, it started out so strong and informative. -
Scoundrel PVP - Am i the only one that sees this?
Degato-Nafix replied to IVIidnight's topic in Scoundrel / Operative
This must be your first MMO or you just aren't thinking. People need to be competitive and have fun with EVERY spec. This means bringing competitive dps OR bringing buffs/utility to the raid that make the person feel like an important part of the team. It seems that you don't understand the importance of balance (which will never be perfect) in an MMO. Degfix -
DPS Scoundrels are being left behind

DPS scoundrels: it doesn't get any better
Degato-Nafix replied to thechimera's topic in Scoundrel / Operative
You are motivated enough to post on the forums but you haven't tried the other dps spec? Why wouldn't you want to try another spec out? That's just madness, give it a whirl! it might not be the best spec on the forums but it might be the best thing for you. I've had some talent builds not work for me and do great for others and vice-versa. I'd give DF a go and see how it works out. I'd give it an honest chance though, play it 2 weeks straight and in at least 50 WZ games. Don't just go in 1-2 and say it sucks, that is just noob. Good luck man. Thanks, Degato/Nafix -
Picking your targets would be the most important thing to determine while playing a Scoundrel. The rotations and cool down management are secondary to positioning, focusing healers and assist training with other dps on your team. Knowing where to be at the right time is also important, gotta think ahead and know where your opponent is going next. Thanks, Degato/Nafix

Got it, strip the PVE armor for set bonus then insert your pvp mods etc into it. Thanks

What are "columi force mystic shells"? I'm level 35 on my first toon and have no clue what this means. So Crit only effects melee attacks? Is there a base number I'm trying to hit in the non-INF specs? Gah, I've been INF since level 10 and have been stacking crit (25% base atm). When I hit 40 almost all of the PVP gear I have stocked up has POWER, maybe at that point I'll try something outside of INF.

So is everyone wearing dps gear for these specs? Even 31/0/10? How about stat priority? Thanks

"You could easily make it effective now mate although what i did was put the 23 points into it then built the rest up from there" So fill out KC and then work my way up the Balance tree slowly? What's my priority list for burst? Sustained? I guess I'm not really even sure what the play style is supposed to be? Protector? Harrass? Thanks for the help! Nafix

I'm currently level 35 and have been pvping for 75% of my xp. This hybrid spec looks great but I just can't figure out at what point I will have the points to make it feel effective? Currently running around full INF spec has been the best spec and makes me feel like I'm affecting games the most. This could also be a solo queue for ranked discussion? Obviously I'm always in solo queue. So if you were leveling up again, how would you build into that hybrid spec? Thanks in advance, Nafix

I tried KC, it's fun when you have someone worth guarding. Solo I enjoy INF more. It's a terrible comparison though, apples and oranges.
