  1. I was already annoyed about the stupid new Copero mission and then saw this thread.... What motivation is there to do anything or even play this game if you do something and it is undone later? This further annoys me. I hate to be rude, but I have played a LOT of games over the years and dealt with a lot of dev teams and publishers and somehow this team always manages to shine as the low benchmark.
  2. Seriously...... What about this mission is either commemorative or an introduction? Redoing 3 flashpoints for a new mission is just lazy and disrespectful of player time. From a story perspective what will I learn doing these again for the 1,000th time? I have the 50 false emperor and legacy of rakata flashpoints completed in 2015. I did the 50 directive 7's in 2014. I can't recall how many times since then I had to do these and redoing these another three times is just straight up a waste of time. Kudos on the creativity and thinking of players enjoyment of the game.....
  3. If you have spent any time on SV then you know it is dead. Influencers have done a horrible job representing players in this game over the years and whatever you read on social media almost certainly only represents a tiny and vocal perspective and no where near representative sampling of players. That is the very nature of social media now - people with minority views screaming from the top of their lonely mountain trying to get other people to change their thinking. SS has seen ever decreasing populations since they moved the servers. How could anything done to a dead server kill off a server already in bad shape? Personally, I see opening up the server possibly seeing a few more players online which might help build some momentum in getting the things going that will encourage any new players to want to stick around. No one sticks around in MMOs that are missing the first M.
  4. I have done nim 3 times and the mount dropped once on Titan and not at all on any other boss. Random is random so your luck might be different.
  5. Good post and Hyde and Zeek are definitely the quickest way to 340. Once you get to 340 I would recommend these: A. Join groups for nightmare nefra and Dash'roode runs. As long as you know your class these are pretty painless unless you get a bad group or are a tank that has never done them before. Some groups are tolerant to helping new tanks get some practice though. This is the quickest way to get the top gear drop. Unfortunately, it is random so you will get way more junk drops than the gear piece you are hoping for. Even if the randomness does not work in your favor, the two pieces that drop are worth 30 OP tokens. I run these atleast 10 times a week and get mostly earpieces or relics. Stupid random. B. Heavily leverage the weekly missions for EV and HP HM. Completing the weekly gives you 65 op tokens PLUS the tokens you get from disintegrating gear drops. You can force all rakata drops by inserting a lower level item (I believe 318 or 324 is needed). Both have 5 bosses and these are the easiest hard mode operations you can run. 5 bosses @ 15 op tokens per piece = 75 Total = 75 + 65 = 140 op tokens The more alts you have the more you can crank out the op tokens each week. The only drawback is waiting for one of the two to appear as a weekly. If you are looking for 344 gear I would avoid flashpoints and focus on operations. C. If you have alts, crank out activities inbetween operations that generate conquest commendations. You can convert 2,000 of these for 175 op tokens. That will get you a couple of item upgrades. Obviously, the above is for a PVE path.
  6. They need to open transfers. These are optional and you can partake or not partake. If you have dreamy aspirations of starting a new then that is your option, but not everyone wants that experience. Let's not forget this is Star Wars - Scum, villainy, and lawlessness with an occasional happy ending that will change to an unhappy twist in the subsequent sequel. As long as human players exist then ultimately all the things you do not like and do not want to see will happen on the server. Does delaying that briefly change anything?
  7. My summation of the new GTN https://imgur.com/a/uMZBdgD
  8. If it is any consolation, this has become a Christmas tradition. We are very lucky they launched on time otherwise we would have had to live with the problems until January as they seem to take a huge amount of time (like government scale time) off towards the end of December. I my opinion, except the crashes and horrendous new GTN, this launch was smoother than prior December launches.
  9. All contests have winners and losers. Some will be happy and others will not. Contests involving creative content probably lead to more frustration as, unlike contests with clear scoring, you are left with not knowing why you lost or what you could do different to be more competitive next time. I think announcing the top 5 for each planet was a positive change and in some small measure gave a win to 5 people per planet instead of just one. The top 5 video was also well done. I also did not win, nor did I even reach the top 5 so will just have to wait for the next contest. 10. I am glad to see the return of this contest. While I disagree with comment about resources - they could fix both bugs and support contests, these types of activities help build player engagement which encourages player retention. I do agree that the players interested in this type of contest are probably a small percentage of the overall player base. So far, I have seen these 3 photo contests and a video contest. Adding some contests for players interested in other things would really add value to players (and subscription numbers). There are lots of examples that I have seen guilds do for their members that could be extrapolated to a server contest. 11. Most people couldn't finish mm uprisings such as trial and error - probably several of the other ones as well. Adding these to groupfinder would just result in people quitting groups as soon as they see they got a bad one or worse a nightmare run that never successfully ends. SM version is a good groupfinder entry point and then groups of friends can team up and take on mm outside of the groupfinder. You would end up with posts like this for uprisings: wasted-mm-flashpoints-due-to-player-inexperience-and-low-gear https://youtu.be/W7hpmj95s7A https://youtu.be/7Wc72UMIcVQ
  12. Is that code for something? Are we going to see Jackie as one of Flo's coworkers in future Progressive commercials?
  13. I went to www.swtor.com to log in and kept seeing this. That is not me. It took a few logouts to finally clear that and be able to log in as me. https://imgur.com/mpPRucx
  14. History shows that by the time you all start asking these questions, the changes are already set. After reading the posts though, with many of them coming from broke a$$ players with no skin in the game or who have no clue on how to make credits in the game suddenly offering advise how to fix the economy, I thought I would offer my input to balance the feedback. What do you like about how the GTN currently functions? Ease of use/access. What do you dislike about how the GTN currently functions? You cannot filter out unusable items (decorations, cartel items you already have, etc. Is there anything you wish you could do on the GTN that you cannot do currently? Filter out unusable items and items a character already has. Increasing credit limit and max listing limit. Would be nice if you could offer a different price for a item (lower than listing price) that the seller could get and decide if its worth it and sell it for less than listing price. Perhaps full bidding feature. Are there any specific filters, searches, or ways of finding items you particularly like or that you wish existed? See above. Would be nice to filter out certain sellers. What kinds of information do you use to decide when to make a purchase? If you could have more information what would you want? Price, whether I have the item or not, and more filters for decoration types. Instead of all these crazy changes why not just increase character credit limit and max gtn credit limit? Keep the in-person trade cap to 1 billion. This by itself would quickly pull out credits from the economy without affecting in person trades (which many of them are either donations or someone giving another player items/credits. Scale the gtn fee with listing price 1 billion = 8%, 2B = 9%, 3B =10%, 4B = 11%, 5B = 12%, 6B = 13%. 1,000 sales of 4B would pull out 440 billion credits. This would be effective, over time, without nickel and diming new players while at the same time not penalizing crafters so much that crafting gets so rare that prices skyrocket. This seems fair. Bioware created this inflation by not watching the shop for so long. Your correction should be smart and targeted and then tweak the percentages if balance isn't achieved/maintained. I have donated hundreds of billions of credits to friends and random players who make a good case and like to post 1 credit items for holidays. I play this game for fun though and I am not going to do crafting for nothing nor help other people if I get hassled for stupid fees. Hopefully, someone in your team still plays this game and does crafting or plays the gtn that can offer their input. Consider the input and the source of the input. Christmas 2022
  15. Reset Decorations in Room resets decorations for the entire stronghold. 4 hours down the drain. Will add this to the list of crappy programming/testing.
