The game has a rating for a reason.

This would be the entire reason I prefer female characters.

I have, over 3 characters, yet to run in to 4 separate NPCs with a flirt option. Typically these options were brief, went nowhere and were mainly for flavor. The ability to block out hetero flirt options is just as wrong as the other way around.

The balance is that the content exists on the same level, implemented in the exact same way as the current content.

Yes. There is a reasonable expectation of equality, especially amongst your peers. This isn't a complete thought. Why would anyone want to? The fact is, that doesn't come with nearly the level of baggage as trying to remove all references to homosexuality.

I'm curious about exactly how you feel this would play out in game. Flirt options tend to be few and far between, especially with the crew, and if you don't use them in a few select conversations they disappear all together. There's no reason to think it would be any different.

See, that's the thing. You've stated why you don't want to see it, because you don't want to be confronted with politics. Here's the problem though, this game is chock full of politics, the very core of the game is the conflict between the light and dark side of the force, or if we paraphrase, socialism and libertarianism. The Republic vs the Empire, Democracy vs Fascism. The entire game is based on opposing political views and the quests reference this constantly. Kotor 2's plot literally revolved around the pointlessness of extremism in any political leaning. The fact is, your argument makes no sense. You have no issue with any other political statements this game and this company have made so we're left wondering why this one in particular is such a problem for you.

Actually, that's the opposite. Immersion would be if the NPCs would flirt with you based on your interactions with them, even if you hadn't flirted with them first. Which, as I may point out would actually be an extremely interesting mechanic and lead to unique roleplaying situations that expands on the universe and provides depth. I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding you here, but it seems like you're saying that if Bioware added homosexual flirt options into the game, without the option of turning them off, you would cancel your sub. That if Bioware added homosexuality to the game you would quit. I'd like to remind you at this point that you're currently arguing in favor of people who are so totally opposed to homosexuality that the mere appearance of the option is totally unacceptable. Well, see, you actually have. Right up there, where you said you'd cancel your sub if gay romance options, and again I'd like to point out that these are simply options you want to hide, are put in. The fact is, nobody is forcing you to see any more than a little option that you're seeing anyway. The objection here, is that it's between two same sex characters.

See, you're completely missing the point and this insane restriction that this can only be discussed from a technical or game experience standpoint despite the fact that this is a purely social problem. The fact is, if you want to remove the politics from this than ALL romance options have to be turned off.

If you can toggle same sex flirting off I should be able to turn off flirting with the opposite sex. Everyone is gay or no one is.

It would be a complete and total waste of time for Bioware to do this, especially when there are third party programs that have done it already. If you want to record in game footage download fraps. It does everything you want. End of discussion.

More or less what he said. However! Plan out your talent tree, it may be better to move a few points out of the more mediocre talents to pick up Insight in the focus tree to push your crit on Blade Storm to 100%.
