  1. What would be the most amazing log-in reward of all right now? BEING ABLE TO LOG IN AT ALL! For the love of God, fix the C1/C7 error already!
  2. I tried to get creative. Deleted the launcher in my SWTOR folder, emptied trash, ran the full installer from the SWTOR website under the theory that it would replace the launcher and hopefully any bad files. CRASHED windows yet again... I am starting to suspect there may be vandal code in last weeks "security update" from Microsoft, because things that should fix the problem are falling flat, or even making things worse. My tests from this weekend at least allowed me into the game over half the time before imploding. Everything from today crashes before the character selection screen loads.
  3. Definate failure. Ran the repair utility as instructed. So far, so good. Then I logged in to test it and IMMEDIATELY crashed windows before I even got to the character selection screen. Are we looking at a full uninstall and reinstall scenario here, or is there something less annoying left to test?
  4. Instructions say to delete a few files in the "BitRaider" folder, but no such folder exists. C: > Program Files (x86) > Electronic Arts > Bioware > Star Wars - The Old Republic Assets EUALAs EULAs locales logs Movies patcher_-1to72 readmes swtor followed by 24 files not in folders. I took a photo, but I apparently can't post it here.
  5. Also, I have heard that Win 10 users have to load the game with nothing running in the background (So no Teamspeak, etc) and then launch them after they are in game. Already tried that.
  6. Never had a problem until this past week. I can log into the game just fine, then as soon as I go into groupfinder or start to do group content, Windows crashes and my computer starts to reboot. I am using Windows 7 pro CPU is Intel Core I7 2600k 3.40Ghz 8M 16Gb RAM DDR3 Video is AMD Radeon HD 6950 2Gb GDDR5 16x Drivers are updated Malware Bites says I am clean AVG says I am clean. I did a system restore, found several registry errors, and repaired them How the heck do I keep the game up? Never a problem until thursday's patch, and now it is more or less unplayable. Anyone know the fix to this or a decent workaround?
  7. I am one of the MANY off-shift working players. On a normal patch night I get home just in time to NOT play... (between 1-2am mountain). As has been pointed out by several previous posts, server populations are still high at midnight in the USA, and many of us are only just logging in at that time (or later). WoW does weekly maintenance at around 4am mountain on tuesday morning unless it is a major content or bug patch. No one is arguing that down time is not needed, just start later! And for those of you posting that we should all get new jobs to support EA's schedule, grow the hell up! Why do I (and many others) reference WoW server maintenace times? Maybe because alot of us who would like to be playing SW:TOR right now will instead be logging in to our WoW accounts for our weekly check-in... And yes, I still get routinely kicked off the servers with a 4am maintenance, but it is a hell of alot more reasonable than a 1am shutdown. And as a matter of finance, IT geeks starting a downtime at midnight versus 3-4am are STILL 3rd/night shift either way, so it costs the same!
