(IC Ascenedant) Project Ascendant: The Republic senate has authorized a settlement to be established in the outer rim. This settlement is to test to see how a small colony can fair without direct control from the Jedi Order and minimal assistance from The Republic. Given their recent turbulent history The Republic can no longer count on direct Jedi intervention to assist with The Republic's interest. That said the Project's goal is not to cut out the Jedi or their influence but, rather test the strength of a project that is ran primarily by Republic citizens. Jedi are welcome to the settlement as visitors or, those looking to stay for a time. Leadership of this settlement will fall to Republic Citizens. All citizens of the settlement will be processed by The Republic Authorities to help ensure Sith Imperial influence and, criminal influence of this new settlement is minimalized. Authorization to proceed with this project and, begin recruitment of settlers is granted (IC Agrona's Roam) The blast door closes behind Vulus as he walks towards his desk. The anger from the message he received from the Dark Council was mostly let out on the messenger. He chuckles to himself as he pulls his hood back before talking to himself, "His ribs will heal." As he approaches the desk he takes a deep breathe before grunting and swinging his arm across the top of the desk sending datapads and the holocommunicator scattering across the floor. "Fools!", he says before turning on his heels pacing in front of his desk. "It's a damn suicide mission!" He takes another slow breathe in and adjusts the ceremonial eye covering that's common for Miralukans. He talks a bit quieter now almost as if he were barking orders at an apprentice he was used to having at his side, "How do they expect us to inflict any damage with a retrofit ship, a hand full of mandalorians and a few imperial soldiers? Not even enough Sith to train with regularly? And of course given the state of the war no guaranteed regular reinforcements or supplies?! A guerilla war like we are pathetic Republic guard!" He crosses his arms before turning starting to slowly and, calmly pace in front of his desk. He smiles as he stops and reaches out his right hand towards the pile of that was thrown from his desk. The holocommunicator rises up before quickly flying into the palm of his hand. He mutters to himself, "Well, if they think this will kill me so easily they will be sorely mistaken." (OOC) We are now a cross faction gaming community with an emphasis on fluid, member driven stories and development. We are a Heavy-RP community with the primary goal of keeping a welcoming and, open environment where our members and, their characters are the focus of the stories. Not just players in an extremely linear guild progression, premade story. We do our best to accommodate any reasonable character on either faction with an emphasis on realistic backstories. Our guild stories and, events will be built to allow flexibility for your character's to grow and, actually affect the stories we set up for you. Not that our members are here to tell our character's stories. We do our best to accommodate any reasonable character on either faction with an emphasis on realistic backstories. I'm toying with the idea of a group of Jedi removing themselves from the conflict (to begin with) and trying to back to the Jedi's roots. The story would of course progress past that but, the foundation is key. The guild's primary focus would be RP with the guild's overall story reinforcing each members individual stories. The members wouldn't be just characters in the guild's story but, the guild's story would more be the backdrop to help fill in and connect them all. So, as we all know the game has aged quite a bit and it seems the older content is forgotten. I propose an idea for a guild and, wanted to see if there was any interest in the RP community for it. It would be a guild of fresh characters going through the content from the starting planets forward. Rebuilding stories from the beginning of the game with our characters as far as we would like. I realize this would put the characters out of sync with the current lore of the game but, we would catch up eventually in theory. As for the idea of how new characters would be brought into the guild part of their initiation process would be something similar to help develop their characters backstories. Like I said, this is just an idea with many paths we could navigate. Would love to hear some feedback.

Checking for people interested in starting a new Heavy RP guild on the Republic side. The short version of the idea for the theme I've been kicking around is, a group of force users (generally any alignment minus dark side) and republic loyalists uniting to help fight the Eternal Empire and, the Sith empire. Bound together by the general disappointment in the Republic and the Jedi Order for forming treaties with the Eternal Empire and, having worked with elements of the Sith empire against the Revanites and now, the Eternal Empire. The theme is meant to be simple to help allow for easier adjustment to the overall memberships wishes and, to help allow easier entrance to more members. The primary OOC focus of the guild will be guild story advancement in relation to helping our members advance their stories. Far too often RP guilds become very insulated with little clicks. The Leaderships primary responsibility will be to help keep the guild stories set up to where the focus never follows an individual but, makes everyone a true component in the story. So I am on my final leg to level 55 and, have been using my old DPS gear from pre 2.0. Now that I have my modest commendation stockpile I've been looking towards what gear I should get and, continue to work with. I really enjoy Kinetic Combat and, do not plan to change to infiltration or balance (tried them both during the leveling process and, after I hit 50 back when that was the cap) and did not enjoy either very much. So, the question I have for all you shadow/ sins out there. Is it still viable to use DPS gear as a Kinetic Combat/ Darkness or should I focus on getting full tank gear? If DPS gear is still viable I would love to get some pointers on what I should be looking for or, maybe a blend of the two (DPS main pieces with some survival implants?) Any tips would be appriciated and, thank you in advance.
