It would probably require a little work to set it up but I don't think it would be radical; it could be an interface overhaul where slot 1 is always scout, 2 is always fighter, 3 is always bomber, and 4 is always gunship- doesn't have to be exactly this. Many class based games are like this- if someone else picks Blackwidow in Overwatch I am not also able to play Blackwidow. I'm really just throwing my opinion out there- I love GSF even with the nonsense that happens sometimes.
  2. This happened in a few matches last night and people kept dropping from my team in frustration- I don't actually have an issue with killing gunships and I do decent in GSF. Just had a 17K 4D match tonight with a balanced match (in terms of ship assortment)- fighter can be certainly be OP too. The reason I feel limits would help is to reduce the effectiveness of tactics that make the game not play the way it should. For example- I have a screenshot of an arena where I was healing and all 3 of my teamies were also healers. The match was a total joke and did not play the way an arena should with nobody going below like 75-80% HP until acid. What I am suggesting is stacking gunships or bombers is sort of the same thing- it's frustrating and the game doesn't play out well. The match turns into a stand off, a turtle war, or a one-sided slaughter. I totally agree- I was a little frustrated when I wrote the original post after a few matches and stacking gunships felt a little abusive; the games were just so dumb because it turned into both teams sitting way back and just sniping anyone who wanted to do anything else. I had a match tonight where 5 of the enemy team were gunships and we tried to coordinate pushing them out but it was just a lost cause. Anytime anyone tried to maneuver to kill one you just get sniped by the other 4. There are other things that need some work like getting 1 shot by a gunship and THEN seeing it charge up the shot that killed you but I doubt it's really a priority in 2023.
  3. I believe that each team should only have so many slots of certain ship types to make sure that the match actually happens in a sensible way. So many matches literally EVERY SINGLE player on a team will go Gunship- anyone NOT playing a Gunship just gets executed if they try to play the match. In these matches you end up with both sides playing gunship or people who don't play gunship just feeding. It should be something like this- Gunship Team Limit: 2 Bomber Team Limit: 2 Scout Team Limit: Unlimited Fighter Team Limit: Unlimited Maybe there should be a limit difference between larger player counts and smaller counts but you get the idea- I'm suggesting the concept not nailing down every detail. And yes I know this mode gets ignored and this won't likely be looked at but I still love Sniper Wars- I MEAN GSF. This setup will also help the mode feel like an actual Star Wars game. Remember in the battle of Yavin when all of the Sniper ships flew out? No? Remember the battle of Naboo when all of the Sniper ships flew out? No? Remember the battle of Scarif... the snipers? Not that either? How about at Endor! Oh yeah when all the Sniper Ships.... dang none there either. Lore wise mass snipers is silly... gameplay wise the mass snipers is laughable and incredibly boring- I hate being forced into a gunship.
  4. Today has been slightly better only 7/10 Hutball. Guess I am getting lucky lol. I did get to do a Voidstar for the first time in several days. I enjoy Hutball with a good team but that is rare unless I'm in a premade that doesn't want to just farm- thats normally what people want to do- ignore the actual match.
  5. Just Q'd up. Instant Hutball. I am backfill from someone who quit at the start when they saw the map. Think I will drop also.
  6. I enjoy Hutball from time to time... but what on earth is happening? Almost every match now is one of the 3 Hutball maps and generally they aren't as fun as the other maps. I have never seen so many people getting fed up with the constant Hutball and dropping the match as soon as they load in. I feel that Hutball should be the opposite- like maybe we have a 10% to get Hutball every other weekend from 3PM to 4PM and that's it. At this rate they should just rename "Warzones" to calling it what it is "Hutball". I played PvP for about 4 hours yesterday and only had 2 matches that were not Hutball. Today I have about 3 hours and 0 maps that aren't Hutball. MAKE HUTBALL RARE! Everyone I know in the game moans and groans when it comes up.
  7. So EVERY other gear path EXCEPT PvP can get to 330? Even Conquest? JUST REMOVE PVP GEAR THEN. WHAT IS THIS? Why is there ALWAYS something completely silly done with PvP gear? Quit messing around and keep it inline with everything else or just remove it. ZERO reason to not just start over from scratch now and do conquest gearing.
  8. That would be silly. All that would mean is we need to do GSF weeklys on more characters to get the same rewards. Same amount of matches... rewards... just more toons. Silly.
  9. 3/4 players in almost every warzone are running Mara on my server if that helps lol.
  10. AND healers! gawd they heal people I wanted to kill and they can't do that. AND tanks, they guard people I wanted to kill and they can't do that. Oh and juggs cause they push you and stuff..... and PTs cause they nuke you super hard... just make everyone mercs but ban net from pvp cause ew... I don't like that.
  11. For those that dived into PTS and played enough- what are your opinions on 7.0 healers for both PvP and PvE? I only really messed around with Sage/Sorc but didn't do any group content as nothing would pop for me and I didn't have a group on PTS. Really just looking for opinions on effectiveness and which specs are better or worse off. Sage/Sorc healer for PvP? Sage/Sorc healer for PvE? I can't seem to find hardly anyone talking about this one specifically vs the other two. From what I played the mobility/aoe seems such improved. Scoundrel/OP healer for PvP? PvE? Commando/Merc PvP/PvE?
  12. Push it back, cancel the update completely, whatever you have to do- but please do not kill this game. I have been playing off and on since beta and have loved this game so much over the years. Almost everyone I know who keeps up to date with this game is not planning on continuing to play in 7.0 due to the gearing system. Many more will come back for 7.0 and quit once they figure out what we actually have to do to gear a character. How many alts will be left behind permanently because there is simply not enough time in the week to gear them? I play about 5 or 6 characters actively now, it will probably have to be 1 or 0 now. You can kill any other game you want but please not this one!
