  1. When i did it with my sith sorcerer i didn't even have to use any healing stations, i just kept running when mines where floating around. Companion heals were more than enough to keep me topped. On my sniper i did die once because i was carelessly standing still thinking it won't hurt so much (considering how easy it went on sorc lol), just to notice it does. But when just moving it's not hard at all. I do like how bosses in Onslaught don't take decades to kill. My biggest hate this far on earlier content has been overly long boss fights. Now (on story content) they seem to melt down nicely and fast.
  2. Thing that kills you there is those floating robot mines that float to you and then explode. Everything else your companion can heal easily. When that robot is summoning those floating mine droids, you want to keep moving until they have all exploded.
  3. My inq did all the saboteur stuff available and zapped Anathel off the chair on the end. Also was offered to join imperials again but i said nope.
  4. Just for clarification: People on this thread are talking about old content, not new story. New story is fine, it is balanced and not hard to do on story mode. Problem is the old content that has got in some parts very hard because of scaling is not done properly in all parts.
  5. And professions require group content materials even for starter green 268 recipes.
  6. No idea. I played it with my imp saboteur who is romancing Theron and i got nothing on the end (actually some sort of tantrum about how so many lives were lost, even i went full saboteur route). Was actually quite disappointed on that.
  7. Playing solo doesn't equal antisocial. For example i play almost exclusively solo, but i am very social. I talk to people, trade, help people if i see someone in trouble, i answer questions people ask in chat if i know the answer and so on. That being said, i am not quite sure what you mean by being social, but if it is "run instanced group content with randoms" then we have very different definition of it. For me being social is about interaction and communicating with others, not tied to spesific content.
  8. Mmorpg players are mostly nomads who move between games and bad reputation spreads very quickly and can slow down flow of new players a lot. Before you know it, you have driven your old players away and haven't got many back to fill their gaps. At this moment i can see there is annoyed people on all aspects: solo, pvp and pve group content wise. I have troubles to understand who are the players they are thinking of changing to, if soloers, pvpers and pve group content people are gonna go?
  9. Well first i have to stress i am not "outraged". I am just unhappy with some things that changed in expansion. I am not OPS or PVP player. I play mostly solo, rarely some duo with irl friend when we happen to be online same time and feel like it. What i like to do in game is simple: i play my main and alts trough story (different versions and decisions), i do some heroics for credits and i craft (different alts having different crew skills). On current expansion i have played new story on both sides (rep still missing the FP part because i haven't had enough continuous time to run it). I got 2 more characters that can run new content with so that will be another 2+2 hours of entertainment incoming. Rest of my characters are missing earlier story parts. With the current "tweaks" to scaling and difficulty some of them are blocked behind now impossible to do (on story mode!) KOTET chapters. So no new content with those alts. Heroics are made either more tedious and boring (taking too long to make rewards worth it) or impossible to solo. So not doing heroics either. And crafting requires group content materials even from the starter green items, so no crafting for me either. So yes, i am little bit annoyed now. All activities i liked to do in this game are either impossible for me right now or just plain not fun anymore. Expansion came out just few days ago and i should be eagerly playing, crafting new things and being happy in game. But i don't have any reason to log into game. The most important thing is, i am not annoyed because i wanted something and didn't get it. I am annoyed because things i loved to do were taken away from me. I didn't get expansion, i got reduction.
  10. This is what many don't seem to understand. And the fact that when people run out of content they want to do they quit. Why didn't they ADD additional difficulty on heroics (veteran heroics, master heroics) with extra rewards? When you change system you might make it better for someone but same time you make it worse for someone else. SWTOR cannot afford to lose any more players, they should not change things worse for anyone. I got nothing against having more difficult content available and having more group content but it should not be away from those who want to keep doing what they been happily doing for years.
  11. If you press C for character screen there is button for amplifiers. Pressing that will bring list of your amps and howering mouse over them tells what they do. You can reroll new amp by choosing the one you don't want and (double?)clicking it. Every reroll costs some credits and offer 2 new amp bonuses to choose from. You can keep on rerolling untill you get something you want, alltough cost seems to get higher (mine have been between 5k to 10k credits but i guess it can go higher). I haven't figured out if you can remove them and send to alts but you can definately send the item itself (that has the certain amp) to alt.
  12. They were changed to be soloable content because people were not doing them enough as 4man content. After that they were soloable content for years and one of the most popular activities for solo players to do. On these quiet years we have had only places in open world that have been busy have been daily heroics areas. Taking away one of the most popular solo player content in game (or making it so tedious it isn't fun anymore) is not going to do anything good for this game that is already struggling keeping players in. We need every player to stay. Solo content is not just for players who only play solo. It is for players who wait their friends to come online, for players who that day don't want to participate no group activities, it is something to do for that time you spend in game in between your group activities. Being able to progress and do fun activities solo is base stone of any mmorpg. We will see how this will affect playerbase. I hope i am wrong and there is enough players who prefer heroics that take longer or need groupping to keep the game funded. But i am worried this will lead into more players quitting for good. And it is definately not a good time to go full on "cry, no one cares" because there is many people who do care. We need everyone to stay.
  13. Thanks for the long and detailed explanation! How you describe gear acquiring sounds ok to me. I don't need best gear, i am just happy if i get upgrades. I don't do much story mode (solo) flashpoints unless i have to (story forcing me to). Nothing against them in general but i prefer doing things where i can step out any time (same reason i wasn't fan of chapters either) and continue when i want again. If those story FPs are doable on bad gear i might give them some go for gear then. I also play duo and even trio sometimes, but that is depending whether my friends happen to be online same time so very rarely. Crafting thing worries me now though. I like to craft and it is game activity for me, not so much way to get gear than fun activity. It sounds like one part of my gaming experience is not available for me then at all. That makes me bit sad. Will try Onslaught anyway and see how it feels. If it's not fun for solo/story playstyle, i just unsub and play other games until it's fixed (if ever). It's pretty good autumn on mmorpg gaming front so everything is not depending on SWTOR.
